A Confession and a Thankyou
Chapter 4
When Kaiba walked into the room he saw Joey just lying their, he was still asleep. He didn’t know the reason why he collapsed because he hadn’t heard from the doctors. He walked over to the bed and looked at Joey. Joey looked so peaceful when he was asleep Kaiba had never seen something so beautiful.
Kaiba then saw a small pin board with some sheets on it, he picked it up and saw the name. ‘Joey Wheeler’ Kaiba said to himself. Then he remembered Mokuba was talking about some guy who was a really great soccer player by that name. Kaiba couldn’t believe it this was the guy he met just yesterday and it was also the same guy he was falling for. “Why, how is it that I just cant stop thinking about you” Kaiba said looking at Joey.
Kaiba dropped on his knees and put his hands to his face. “Ever since I met you I cant concentrate on my work or anything now” Kaiba said talking to an unconscious Joey. Kaiba grabbed Joey’s hand and looked at him. “How is it that someone like you can get to me so much, no one has ever done that but you it is as if god is punishing me” Kaiba said.
“I just don’t know what to do but there is one thing I do know is that I love you more than anything in this world” Kaiba said straight out. He let go of Joey’s hand and looked at him. “Are you happy of all the people I would fall in love with it just had to be you” Kaiba looked at Joey. “I am sure if you knew you would have a big laugh about it” Kaiba said.
He then stood up and took one last look at him before leaving the room. When Kaiba left the room and the door was shut Joey woke up, he had heard the entire thing.
He looked towards the closed door, the door soon opened and Serenity walked in. “Big brother you’re awake I am so glad” she walked over to him. “Sorry to worry you sis” Joey said in a low voice. Serenity pressed a button beside Joey’s bed and a few minutes later a doctor walked in. The doctor checked if Joey was going to be alright and thankfully it was nothing serious which Serenity was very thankful for. The doctor told them that Joey had just fainted from the pressure he had put on his body from all his practicing.
The doctor told him to take it a bit easier because the body can handle so much. Serenity thanked the doctor and the doctor left the room.
An hour later Joey was aloud to leave the hospital his sister walking along side him. “Thankyou Serenity for helping me” Joey said. “You shouldn’t be thanking me Joey you should really be saying thankyou to Mr Kaiba” Serenity told him. Joey stopped in his tracks “who is this Kaiba your talking about” Joey asked her. “Why it was that guy who came in earlier to see you” Serenity told him. “I am not sure where he would be now but he might be at his building” Serenity said.
“What building is that” Joey asked her “well its called Kaiba Corporation it is in the city” Serenity replied. So the guy who told him that he was in love with him was none other than Seto Kaiba. Of course Joey was asleep that he didn’t see the face of this guy and that he had no idea that he had actually met him yesterday.
Joey and Serenity caught a taxi back to Joey’s place “will you be alright Joey” Serenity asked him when he was getting out of the cab. “Yeah I will be fine no need to worry ok sis” Joey said back to her. “Well ring me if you need anything, you will do that wont you” Serenity told him. “Of course I will but don’t worry I will be fine you have already done enough for me for one day” Joey replied.
“Alright well seeya” Serenity said, “bye” Joey replied and then he shut the door and the cab drove of. Joey went upstairs and decided to make a phone call, he needed a ride down to Kaiba Corp. He knew one person who would possibly know where it is, he needed to say thankyou to this Kaiba fellow.
Meanwhile at Kaiba Corp, Kaiba was sitting at his desk in his office. It was only 3:00pm and Kaiba still had barely done anything. He had just confessed his feelings to Joey who of course was still asleep. His phone then started to ring, he picked it up “yeah who is it” he said in an annoyed tone. “I am sorry to bother you sir but there is someone here who wants to see you” his receptionist said.
“Tell who ever it is that I am busy right now” Kaiba told her “um he says his name is Joey Wheeler sir” she replied. Kaiba couldn’t believe it Joey was here at his building and wanting to see him but why. “Fine send him in then” Kaiba told her “yes sir” and Kaiba hung up the phone. The door soon opened and Joey walked in. The receptionist shut the door leaving Kaiba and Joey by themselves.
“So what can I do for you” Kaiba asked Joey, Joey was stunned. “You’re that guy I met yesterday” Joey said straight out at Kaiba. “Yes and I am the same guy that played soccer with you and that came to see your game” Kaiba told him. Kaiba talked to Joey as if all that he told Joey had never happened. It was confusing how Kaiba was talking to Joey, he had heard everything Kaiba had said at the hospital. Yet he seems so much different now of course Joey didn’t care it just surprised him.
“So what can I help you with” Kaiba asked him “believe it or not I never thought I would be saying this but thankyou” Joey said to him. “Thankyou for what” Kaiba then asked “you know for what you dumb ass for helping me today” Joey told him. “So you came all this way to say thankyou my I am shocked” Kaiba said. “Yeah well don’t get to cocky it’s only this once” Joey replied.
He then headed towards the door but stopped before he grabbed the handle. “You know you shouldn’t tell some one that you love them when it is a complete lie” Joey said out of the blue. He then walked out the door leaving a very shocked Kaiba, ‘did he actually hear what I said back at the hospital’ Kaiba thought to himself. He flopped down on his chair and still couldn’t get over how Joey knew.
