The First Day
Chapter 4
It was the next day the one day Joey was dreading the most, it had all been like a bad dream. Being a personal slave to none other than the worst guy in town with a bad attitude. He had really wished he didn’t drop his diary now. Of course he had no other choice in the matter and if that bit of info got out. Joey’s life would take a turn for the worst, “man being Kaiba’s slave what a dickhead he is” Joey said to himself.
He was packing a few things in a back pack and it was already 7:00am. He got ready and put some baggy jeans and a white top on which hanged out. He put his sneakers on grabbed his bag and was of. Joey decided to catch a taxi to get to Kaiba’s place because he had no car of his own.
When the taxi got to Kaiba’s house Joey paid the driver got his bag and hopped out of the car. The taxi drove of and Joey couldn’t believe how huge Kaiba’s house was it was massive. It looked like a large hotel than a house. “Their must be about a hundred rooms in their” he said to himself.
When the door suddenly opened “hey Joey” it was Mokuba. “Oh hey Mokuba” Joey replied, he really liked Mokuba. Unlike Kaiba who made them both look they are completely not related at all. Sometimes he wondered how Mokuba could stand such a pain in the ass like Kaiba. “If you want Seto he is inside so go on in” Mokuba told him. He then walked of leaving Joey to his own thoughts.
Joey walked through the large double doors, inside was amazing. He thought he had just walked into a palace. For Joey had never really seen what the inside of a mansion looks like. He then heard some footsteps coming from upstairs and their standing at the top was Kaiba. When Joey saw him a big frown came up on his face the blonde was not happy seeing him at all.
“So you let yourself in as my personal servant you may not walk freely around my house without permission” Kaiba told him. “If you must know your brother said I could come in” Joey told him. “Next time knock you dumb mutt” Kaiba replied with a smirk on his face. Joey watched Kaiba walk down the stairs towards him.
He was standing at least a foot in front of him before calling out to someone. A lady probably around the her early thirties walked in. “Mutt this is Debra she will show you to your quarters” he told Joey. “Debra give him some clothes and then send him to my office” he told her. “Yes sir” she replied and then Kaiba walked back upstairs.
“Please follow me” she told Joey so he followed her, “just to let you know my name is Joey” he told her. “I thought your name wouldn’t have been mutt” she said to him. “Can I ask you something” he then said. “Of course” Debra said back to him waiting to hear what Joey wanted to ask her.
“Well what is it like working for Kaiba” he asked her, “well he doesn’t really boss you around he only asks us for things when he needs it” she told him. “Of course every one here has their own jobs that they have to do because this house is so big and the pay is good I think I like that the best” she then said.
“Debra their you are” a young girl ran up to her “oh hi Sarah was their something you need” she asked her. “I cant find master Mokuba do you know where he is” she asked Debra. “I heard that he was going on a trip with a friend from school for the holidays” Debra told her. “Ohhh that is just great” she said putting her hand to her head.
Sarah then noticed their was someone else standing next to Debra. “Wait a second who is he Deb” Sarah asked her. “This is Joey he will be working here over the holidays” Debra told her. “Right so then this must be the kid who will be Master’s personal servant” Sarah asked. “That’s right” Debra replied. Joey was a bit shocked he was thinking of how this girl would know about that.
“Um excuse me but how do you know that” Joey asked Sarah with a confused look on his face. “Everyone here knows about it, we all thought it was quite strange that a school kid was coming to work here” she told him. Joey couldn’t believe it so every body knew that was just great, he was really panicking now.
After that little chat Sarah walked of and Debra showed Joey where his room was. The room was small but it didn’t look all that bad. It had its own bathroom which was good so he was happy about that. Their was a single bed a small bedside table with two draws and a lamp on top. A tiny cupboard so he could put his clothes in and a desk with a chair.
“Well this will be your room and your clothes are already in your cupboard, I will be back in 10 minutes and I will take you to the master’s office oh and change into your work clothes” she told him then left.
The door shut behind her and Joey was left alone he was not sure how he was going to get through this. Of course the one thing he was sure of is that this was going to be along holiday.
