Unresolved Conflicts

A/N: I hate life, life hates me. I’m in perfect agony. (sings to Barney theme song) Yeah, well… that pretty much explains my week. I don’t know how I ever convinced myself that having six really hard classes and working two full-time jobs could actually work out. But I came into my senses and dropped one of my classes. At least this way I don’t have to skip sleep every day. You know, writing these things actually make me feel like I am writing a journal. And when you people reply it actually makes it worth while.

shanghanjin: Oh, I have so many torture scenes planned out with Jou. Writing this thing is going to be so hard. Thank you.

Dark Toy: You are thinking like me. You know, when that happens it means you are one messed up person in the head. Any ways, I am just kidding. I am glad you calmed down (even though being mad at the right time is a good thing). Just ignore me and review. I am a mad man (well, woman… girl… thing). Thank you.

Chapter 4


Jou tried to grab Kaiba by the collar but the CEO took hold of his hand, then grabbed the other hand, putting them both behind Jou's back. Of course this forced Jou into an uncomfortable position straddling Kaiba. And before the two boys knew what happened, they were kissing each other passionately, Jou pressing his body against Kaiba’s.

However, as soon as Kaiba released his hold on Jou's hands, and as soon as Jou could think coherently, the blond pushed on the CEO’s chest, breaking the kiss. Panting, he dared to look into the blue eyes of the other male. But as always, he couldn’t understand anything he saw in those eyes.

Kaiba was perplexed for a moment due to both his own actions and Jou's. He couldn’t believe that he had just kissed Jou. He also couldn’t believe that the other pushed him away. A part of him wanted to push the blond away himself but another part wanted to drag him back and resume kissing him. It just wasn’t logical to have both feelings for the same person at the same time.

Jou was so confused. First Kaiba takes his virginity in the boy’s bathroom at school then leaves him and ignores him for the rest of the school day. Then he calls the other to the limo and makes it sound like he regretted everything that had happened, and then the bastard kisses him. What was up with Kaiba? Seto Kaiba didn’t act this way. Something big must have happened in Kaiba’s life to change his mind.

Well, in truth it did. Those dreams wouldn’t leave the brunet alone. They were starting to affect his time with Mokuba, his time at work, and even his time at school. He had to do something about this and this was what he came up with (it wasn’t like him to do something like this and a situation like this, but hey, it wasn’t like him to have wet dreams about blond mutts in ancient Egypt with him as a priest either).

Seto tried to grab Jou's chin and kiss him again but as soon as he touched the blond’s chin Jou flinched.

“Why did you flinch?” Seto asked Jou. For some reason he didn’t like the blond not trusting him.

“Why do you always flinch when I touch you?” Seth didn’t like the fact hat his new slave didn’t trust him.

“I-I don’t know. I am sorry,” Jou answered, confusion evident in his voice.

“I… I… I don’t know… I’m s-sorry, m-master,” Jono was really scared now.

Seto looked at Jou's eyes for an instant before taking the blond’s face in his hands and speaking.

Taking the boy’s face in his hands, Seth looked at Jono in the eyes before speaking.

“No. You didn’t do anything wrong. Don’t apologize.” Seto gave Jou one of his very rarely seen genuine smiles.

“Don’t apologize. You did nothing wrong.” With these words Seth also offered Jono a smile.

“Why did you do it?” Jou didn’t know whether he was asking about the sex in the bathroom or about the kiss in the limo or something else. He was just so confused, and this whole thing seemed so familiar to him, as though it were a déjà vu.

“I don’t know.” That was a lie but Seto Kaiba was not about to tell his enemy his secret.

This was the worst possible answer that Seto could have given Jou. The blond wanted to hear something, anything that would help him understand what the hell was going on. Even if Seto told him that everything that had happened was a mistake and he wanted to go back to the way things were Jou would have at least known what to do and what to prepare himself for.

Realizing that he wasn’t going to get much of a response from Kaiba Jou just got off of the brunet and moved to the other side of the limo and sat down on the floor in the corner.

Seto just looked at Jou without saying anything. He wondered what he was going to do. He knew he needed to do something. He knew he had gone way too far to start pretended like nothing happened.

But if just forgetting this wasn’t an option then what could he do? He could tell Jou that he was sorry and perhaps pay him for his loss and pay him more to keep him quit. But what if the mutt felt insulted for that. It would make him feel like a slut. But maybe he wouldn’t have a problem with that. After all, he did need money.

No. Wait. This was too risky. Seto Kaiba did not take risks that were this big. Besides, a part of him didn’t want to lose the blond. Not yet. So instead Seto Kaiba came up with a… less insulting plan, though it had the basic idea. He would tell the mutt that they started on the wrong side and he would offer him the option of “giving” him a second chance. That way he could keep the blond calm and persuade him into keeping quit about what happened. Yeah, that would work. And he wouldn’t have to say goodbye to his little tryst with Jou just yet (though he wouldn’t admit this part to himself).

So Seto Kaiba started putting his plan into action.

“Jou. Listen. I am sorry. I shouldn’t have done what I did in the bathroom today. It was wrong of me to take advantage of you like that and then leave you. I was confused myself but let me make it up to you. I think we started on the wrong foot. But I don’t like the way things seem to be going. So would you give me a chance to make it up to you?”

Jou was even more confused now. Did Seto Kaiba just apologize!? Did Seto Kaiba just apologize to him!?!? Did Seto Kaiba not only apologize to him and ask for forgiveness!?!?!? Jou looked at Kaiba askance for a minute, but then his heart decided to take action. After all, this was his long time secret crush.

“Okay,” Jou replied meekly. But then, his old self kicked in and he added, “but ya betta make it worth while, moneybags.”

Jou had a plan of his own. He decided that he would make sure that Kaiba liked him so much that this little date would eventually turn into a relationship. He wanted Kaiba and for once he would get what he wanted. He was willing to fight tooth and nail for his price.

Seto Kaiba smirked. There really wasn’t a situation he couldn’t get out of. And there was nothing that he wanted that he couldn’t get.

He quickly picked up the phone in the car and told his driver, who had been driving around in circles, to go to a place that Jou had never before heard of.

And so the seduction began.
