He had never meant to go
back. After leaving, he had told himself
sternly that what he had done had been wrong under any
circumstances. He decided to put it
behind him, and get past it.

But, four days later, the heat
was once again getting to him. He found
himself thinking about the stranger on the other side of the wall.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> It would be so easy, so simple.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> And it was so hot.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Every relationship that Seto had ever been in
had nasty consequences; it was part of his job.
This man was offering him relief, and release from the constant
frustration, free from names or dates or broken promises.

He had done some research when
his mind wouldn’t let go of the experience.
He had learned some of the terminology from a rather unfortunate
overheard conversation in the locker room.
Seto had known that the bathroom with the glory hole was called a
Tearoom, but that had been the extent of his knowledge.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> During his research, he learned that he
hadn’t misinterpreted any of the signals, though the knocking seemed to be the
man’s personal touch.

And after only a week, he found
himself drawn to the theater on his lunch break.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> The walk there had been the most painful five
minutes of his young life. When he went
into the Tearoom, he could tell right away that the last stall was already
full. Once inside, he hesitated,
suddenly nervous.

– tap – pause – pause – tap – tap

Suddenly reassured, he dropped
his pants. It was the same man, the one
that he’d been with before. It was odd;
he loved the fact that this man was anonymous, and yet, it had to be this
man. He’d allowed his defenses to fall,
and was partaking in a practice that the tabloids would absolutely adore.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> But only with one man.style='mso-spacerun:yes'>

The third time he went back, it was
a disaster. There was no tapped code
into the wall, just a large, stubby finger beckoning him through the hole.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> He’d just left.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Back out into the heat.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> It wasn’t safe with somebody else.

Still, he’d come back the next
day, to find that his man had returned.

As the summer progressed, they
worked out a schedule. Or perhaps the
other already had a schedule, and Seto was just beginning to discover it- any
day at lunch except for Wednesdays or weekends, and sometimes Saturday
evenings.

He was final able to control
himself in the heat. His sexual
frustration was gone, and he was shocked to find out how much good it was
really doing him. He yelled less, and he
got more done. He was even sleeping
better now. He’d never realized before
how much of his energy was actually wasted on frustration.

There
was a type of sick humor to it. This stranger
could have no idea how beneficial he was to Seto’s health, simply by remaining
free of any complications.

Still,
he was starting to grow nervous. A man
that is hunted should learn to never follow the same path twice.style='mso-spacerun:yes'>
Every time he returned to that theaterstyle='color:blue'>, he was running a huge
risk. If he was discovered, the
retributions could be overwhelming.

The
fear only reinforced his decision to never use the glory hole unless the man
tapped the
code. That man had his
trust, and had never attempted to see Seto’s face.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> He was there for his own benefit as
well. But otherwise, it could be anybody
on the other side; perhaps even someone with a camera.

Though
he wanted his own identity to be a secret, the more he
visited the
Tearoom, the more he wondered about his partner’s identity.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> What kind of person is willing to suck
somebody off nearly every day of the week but never asks for any type of
repayment?

Seto
had deduced that he was young, just by the jeans and the tennis shoes
.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> He also, obviously, didn’t work, at least not
in the day time. But that was all the
information that Seto could really gather, without attempting to look for
more. He had been tempted, several times,
to wait inside the theater until his partner also left, but he’d always convinced
himself to walk away. If the other had
done that to him, he would have been furious.

Still, he often pictured a face
in his head. Seto wouldn’t mind actually
being able to see the other person; it was only necessary that they couldn’t
see him. He needed this without any
strings attached. He had fun with it,
changing the stranger’s eye and hair color almost every time.style='mso-spacerun:yes'>

The summer heat didn’t let up,
even as school approached. He was sure
that it was to go down in history as Domino’s hottest summer.style='mso-spacerun:yes'> And, though he could now manage to walk into
the office without getting hard, every time a wave of the hot air washed over
him, he was reminded of the Tearoom and the glory hole, and the stranger behind
the wall.
