Chapter 4

Okay, every weekend. I’m doing good on updates. I haven’t been able to get on the computer all weekend because I was busy. Now, on Sunday, I update! Yay! Okay, I’m a moron, leave me alone.
Anyway, here’s chapter 4 for y’all’s reviewing.

Chapter 4

Ryou woke up with arms around him and breath on his shoulder. He turned around, still in
the arms and smiled up at Bakura’s sleeping form. He nuzzled into his yami’s chest and relaxed in the strong, yet gentle grip.

The teen laid there, his face nuzzled in his yami, for a few minutes until he felt the warm arms’ grip tighten around him and he was pulled up on top of Bakura’s chest.

He looked up at Bakura who was smirking at him.

“Nice nap?” the dark spirit asked.

“Yes,” Ryou answered and stared back into Bakura’s eyes.

Bakura moved his hands down to Ryou’s ass and cupped it, pulled him up to capture his lips in a demanding kiss.

The spirit bit down on Ryou’s bottom lip, hard, tearing the skin, causing the boy atop him to cry out. The cries were absorbed into Bakura’s mouth and the yami lapped at the blood that came out of the wound he had just created. He ran his tongue across the torn skin, soothing it, and sucking on Ryou’s lip.

/Yami..../

Bakura broke the kiss and looked at Ryou, “No?”

Ryou shook his head, “No.”

“Can’t I even hold you and kiss you?”

“That leads to other things,” Ryou said, avoiding Bakura’s eyes.

Bakura took one of his hands and moved it to grip his hikari’s chin, moving his head and forcing Ryou to look at him, “You think I can’t control myself and I’ll rape you or something?”

Ryou moved his eyes down, silent.

“Look at me, Ryou,” Bakura said, sternly.

Brown eyes wondered up to identical ones.

“If I felt that way,” Bakura started, “I wouldn’t have waited so long. I wouldn’t have been so gentle with you. I wouldn’t be trying to help you now. Don’t you trust me?”

“No, Yami, it’s not that. It’s just....”

“What is it? What are you so damned worried about?”

“You!” Ryou sat up with tears in his eyes.

“What? Me?” Bakura cocked an eyebrow, confused, “How are you worried about me?”

Ryou got off of Bakura and sat on the corner of the bed. He looked down, “Sometimes you.... You do things that I don’t think you realize you’re doing.”

The white haired yami sat up, “What exactly are you saying, little hikari?”

“Sometimes it seems.... You seem just to change into a different person. I don’t know, you just......” Ryou looked up at Bakura, “change.”

Bakura blinked at him, making no movement.

“So, pretty much, you’re saying you can’t trust me,” the spirit stated, simply.

“No!” Ryou turned his body to face Bakura full-frontal, “I do trust you, yami, but-”

“There’s no ‘buts’ to it, Ryou!” Bakura said, defensively, “It’s either you trust me or you don’t. I don’t know what you’re babbling about now and, I don’t think you do either. What are you so afraid of?”

Ryou dropped his gaze to the bed. He didn’t want to look at Bakura, he didn’t want to face him.

Bakura sat across from Ryou, growing agitated. His eyebrows drew down and his fists began to clench.

Ryou sat in front of him, oblivious to the fact his yami was getting near to beating him again.

“Ryou!” Bakura leaned forward and grabbed the boy’s shoulder’s, tightly, shaking him, “What the hell is wrong with you? What are you not telling me?!”

Ryou whimpered in Bakura’s painful grip. He stared into the chocolate eyes so much like his own, but this pair was filled with irritation.

“Answer me, dammit!” Bakura threw him to the floor with a painful thump.

Ryou bit his lip, but immediately let go because of the wound Bakura had created earlier. He scooted back until his back came in contact with the wall. He curled up in a tight defensive position, as he always did when his yami beat him.

Bakura stood and walked toward Ryou. He reached down and grabbed him by the hair, pulling him up.

The teenage boy whimpered and tried to back up, but the wall prevented him from doing so.

Bakura leant his body against Ryou’s to stop his struggling. He took his hand from Ryou’s hair and punched the boy in the stomach, stepping back and watching him double over.

His foot was brought up and connected with Ryou’s chest, sending him back into the wall with a cry of pain.

Ryou curled up in the tightest ball he could and gritted his teeth, ready to take on the rest of the beating.

Bakura was about to raise his foot to kick Ryou when he realized something; this is what Ryou was talking about just a few minutes before.

The spirit stepped back with wide eyes, “Oh, Ra....”

He looked at his trembling hikari up against the wall, huddled in a tight ball.

“Oh, Ra...” he whispered to himself, then took off out of the bedroom and out of the game shop.

Ryou looked when he heard Bakura run out. He staggered to his feet, trying to breathe which was a little difficult just after being kicked in the chest.

He went to the window and saw Bakura take off down the street, heading in the direct of his house.

“He wouldn’t,” Ryou gasped and ran toward Yugi’s room.

Yami stepped out and looked at him.

“Ryou! Are you alright?” Yami went to him, quickly.

“M-my yami!” Ryou gasped, trying to get his breathing in order.

“What about him? Here, come sit down.”

“No! My yami!” Ryou practically yelled, “I-I think, he-”

Yugi looked out the door, “Ryou? What’s wrong?”

“Dammit! Never mind me!” Ryou snapped.

Yami and Yugi stared at him, taken back by the sudden outburst.

“I think, Bakura is going to my house to try to do something to my father! You’re got to stop him!”

“Oh, Ra! I’ll go get him! Yugi, you help Ryou into a chair!” Yami took off down the stairs and after the direction that Bakura had taken.

Yugi helped Ryou into his room and sat him down on his bed.

‘Yami, please stop him,’ Yugi thought.

‘Damn that tomb-robber!’ Yami thought, as he ran as fast as his legs with carry him, ‘Why’d he go and do something like this?’

Yami looked everywhere in every direction. Bakura was no where in sight.

Bakura ran, thoughts racing through his head, none of them clearing and leaving him to peace.

He caught sight of Ryou’s house and ran toward it.

Forgetting that he had the house key, he slammed his shoulder into the door, thinking it would give away, but being wrong. He heard a snap within his right shoulder, but ignored it. He backed up, panting heavily, and was fixing to run into the door again when he saw three colors flash by. He swirled around and stared into Yami’s face for only a few seconds before everything went black.

“Yami? Yami Bakura, are you okay?” Ryou’s voice crept through the darkness to Bakura’s ears.

The dark spirit blinked his eyes open, groggily, and stared up into Ryou’s concerned face.

“He’s awake!” Ryou said, excitedly, and looked back at the confused spirit lying on the bed, “Yami, how are you feeling?”

“Ryou? What the hell.....?” Bakura asked, his daze fading.

His head throbbed, considerably, and he lifted his right arm to hold it when an even worse pain caught in his shoulder, making him cry out.

“Yami! Yami, are you okay?” Ryou asked, worry and concern apparent in his every feature, “It’s okay. Just don’t use your right arm.”

“Well, I know that now!” the spirit snapped at his hikari, “What the hell happened?!”

“Yami said you ran to my house and-”

“The Pharaoh! Where is he?!”

“I’m right here, Thief King,” Yami said from the door way, “That sure wasn’t a smart thing to do on your part, though.”

“What the hell did I do?!” Bakura asked, frustrated with no answers.

“Listen to Ryou,” Yami stated, simply, “He tried to tell you earlier.”

Bakura snorted and looked at Ryou with a demanding glare, “Well, Hikari? Are you going to tell me or not?”

Ryou stared at Bakura, tears breaching his eyes.

“Oh, what the hell are you crying about now?!”

The white haired teenager ran from the room, pushing Yami out of the way at the door and running down the hall to the bathroom, slamming the door shut.

“Ra dammit, Tomb-robber!” Yami still stared, surprised, to where Ryou had run.

He turned to Bakura, stepping inside the room, and slammed shut the door behind him.

Bakura chuckled, “Angry, Pharaoh?”

Yami ran over to Bakura and grabbed the other spirit’s shirt and pulled him to where their faces where inches apart.

“What the hell is your problem, Bakura?!” Yami shook him, not caring if he hurt Bakura’s shoulder or not, “Ryou cares so much for you! Who the fuck knows why with the ass you are to him, his friends, and everyone else he knows! He LOVES you for Ra’s sake! What the fuck are you so angry at that you cannot even treat him right?!?!”

“You know nothing, Pharaoh!” Bakura snarled, “You knew nothing five millennia ago and you know nothing now! Why don’t you just shut up?! SHUT UP!!”

Yami narrowed his eyes, dangerously, at the spirit beneath him, “Tomb-robber, you’re going to get crushed one day and you’ll have no one to turn to because he’ll have already left you. Living without the other half of his soul will be difficult, but he’ll deal with it. Ryou is much stronger, physically and mentally, than you give him credit for.”

“I don’t need another lecture from you, Pharaoh,” Bakura said, glaring at Yami, “I already got one before. Remember? Right before you killed me?!”

Yami stood straight up and threw Bakura down to the bed, roughly. The tomb-robber grunting with the contact of his shoulder against anything.

“You had that coming,” the former pharaoh stated and walked to the door.

He opened it and was about to walk out when Bakura spoke out again.

“I had it coming, just like Egypt had it coming, with you ruling it, to bring all the innocent people to doom.”

Yami stood, silent, for a moment, then walked out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
