I am so, so sorry I have been so bad with updates lately,
I’m having some school schedule mess up’s and my days are being cut in half
cause of night school so I only really have the weekends to write but I promise
to try and finish this and pay more attention to my other stories and I’m
really sorry. Well I hope you like
Chapter 4 of “Father, Mother, Lover!” ENJOY!
“His name is Yugi” Ryou trailed off
“Is this the one who told Meia about your father?” Bakura
asked
“Y-yes.” Ryou managed to choke out trying not to cry.
“Please don’t cry Ryou.” Bakura said brushing away a tear
that managed to escape his eyes.
Bakura gently kissed his cheek and smiled at him.
“Ryou, me and Yami are not your father and we will never be
like he was either. We took you into your home to take care of you, to give you
the love you never had.” Bakura said a small smile played across his lips.
Ryou looked at him wiping away the few tears that escaped.
“I-I know Bakura and I really am thankful its just…you and Yami will never
understand because you never experienced something like what I went through,
you and Yami cannot relate to me but…my friend could.” Ryou breathed, “I could
talk about things that most would cringe at, but he would always listen to me
let me vent my pain and feelings and in turn I would let him. We have never
been separated really until now. I feel guilty that I have been given a home
yet he has not.” Ryou said
“Would you like to visit him?” Yami said from the doorway
looking at Ryou thoughtfully.
“I’m sorry Sir.” Ryou said looking at the ground
Yami looked at hi curiously “Oh, Ryou don’t apologize and
don’t call me sir, call me Yami at least…please.” Yami said sitting next to
Ryou.
Ryou looked at him cautiously “okay…Yami.” Ryou said
hesitantly
“Would you like to visit…Yugi was it?” Yami asked again
“I would love to see Yugi again.” Ryou said looking at Yami
hopefully
“Then we will have to arrange something…wont we?” Bakura
said looking at Yami.
Ryou smiled softly at them as Yami took his hand.
“Will you do something for me though?” Yami asked
“Yes.” Ryou said
“Eat something?” Yami asked
“…O-okay.” Ryou said looking away
“I’m not having you eat to be mean Ryou, its just you need
to eat. You’ll get sick if you don’t.” Yami said.
“I-I know…I’ll get into the habit again, I’ll try to at
least.” Ryou said smiling
Bakura smiled at Ryou and then to Yami. They all sat down
and ate breakfast together.
Although disappointed they couldn’t meet with Ryou’s friend
that day Meia said she needed to talk to them about Yugi before she let them
see him so they arranged a meeting with her for the next day. When they arrived
at the orphanage Ryou went straight to the playground and embraced a young boy
with multi-colored hair as the two began to chatter away with one another. Meia
walked up behind Yami and Bakura.
“They really are the best of friends.” Meia said smiling “I
guess sense he already knows about Yugi its okay, but I need to talk with you
two.” Meia said leading them inside.
“Is it all right to leave them outside?” Bakura asked
“Yes its fine, don’t worry we’ll join them shortly enough
anyway.” Meia said
Ryou finally let go of his friend.
“I’ve missed you Ryou.” The young boy said
“I’ve missed you too.” Ryou said smiling
“I was so happy when I heard that you had been taken into
foster care. Is anyone bullying you?” Yugi asked concerned
“No, I’m the only one there actually, I’m so sorry Yugi…I
would have stayed here with you if I had a choice you know.” Ryou said a bit sadly
“Don’t be sorry on my account Ryou, it makes me happy as
long as you are and…you deserve a much better life than what has been dealt to
you.” Yugi said
“…So do you Yugi.” Ryou said looking at him sadly before
embracing him again.
Meia sighed as she sat behind her desk and Yami and Bakura
sat in front of her.
“Has Ryou told you anything about Yugi?” She asked
“Nothing beside the fact they are friends.” Bakura said
“Well for started Yugi is blind in his left eye and deaf in
his left ear, his father was just as abusive as Ryou’s but luckily for Yugi it
never got sexual.” Meia said “I’m telling you this because he literally cannot
hear anything if you say anything in his left ear nor can he see anything from
his left eye.” Meia said
“H-how did this happen, if you don’t mind me asking that
is.” Yami asked
“His father was assumingly drunk and attacked Yugi
with a broken bottle…he has had reconstructive surgery since so you can’t
really notice anything wrong.” Meia said
“Anything else?” Bakura asked
“He is just as afraid of men as Ryou is…although his father
had never assaulted him while he was in foster care he was raped by one of the
boys there he was removed from foster care after that, he was only eleven when
it happened and he’s never fully recovered from the experience.” She said
looking away from them.
Yami and Bakura exchanged concerned glances.
“That’s why Ryou relates to him so well.” Bakura said
“Yes, I just wanted you to know to stay on his right side
and be gentle with your movements, you might frighten him.” Meia said
“…Meia…is Yugi eligible to be put in foster care?” Yami
suddenly asked
“W-well yes but…you want to take him in?” Meia asked
“It would not only be good for Yugi but it would help Ryou
also…its obvious they draw strength from one another, its wrong to separate
them.” Bakura added
“I know how the two boys are together but…you two are both
new to foster care, you don’t want to overwhelm yourselves…both boys are much
more than they seem.” Meia stated
“All the more reason why they should be together.” Yami
stated
Meia looked down at the ground then back up at Yami and
Bakura smiling…well lets have you meet your new foster son, then we’ll fill out
the paper work.” She said standing
Bakura and Yami exchanged smiling faces this time.
Ryou gave Meia a weak smile as she softly hugged him.
“How are you Ryou?” She asked softly
“Fine, and you?” Ryou asked politely
“Can’t be better.” She said, “I’ll leave you four to get
better acquainted. Yami, Bakura?” She asked
“Yes?” Bakura answered since Yami was preoccupied with Yugi
at the moment
“Meet me in my office later, take as long as you need
though.” She said walking away.
“Hello” Yami said to Yugi but
“Hi.” Yugi said although he took a step back from him
Ryou smiled at his friend telling him was okay, Yugi smiled
and nodded. The two could communicate easily without words.
“My names Yugi.” He said softly
“I am Yami and this is Bakura.” Yami said with a smile “ I
wanted to ask you a question Yugi.” Yami said softly before he began “Would you
like to spend more time with Ryou?” Yami asked
“Of course I would…he’s my best friend.” Yugi said looking
to Ryou
“Would you like to be our foster son? Come live with us?”
Bakura asked
Ryou’s eyes lit up “Really!?” He practically squealed
“M-me? L-live with you?” Yugi stammered “I…” He looked to
Ryou who was smiling at his friend happily “…really?” He asked
“Of course, if you want to we would happily take you in.”
Yami said
“…I-I doesn’t know what to say.” Yugi said
“Yes?” Ryou looked at him hopef “I’ “I’m the only one there
Yugi, no one will hurt you I promise.” He reassured his friend
“Then…yes, please.” Yugi said looking at Yami and Bakura
happily.
The four boys talked as they slowly walked back to the main
building to set everything in order and take their new son home. Unknowingly
that they were quietly being watched.
“That little bitch.” A man spat from the shadows “enjoy your
freedom while you have it Ryou even if I lose the trial you will be mine once
again…and you’re little friend knows to much now, he will suffer greatly for
what you have told him.” He said before disappearing into the shadowed
alleyway.
Evil lurks…of course what else can I do to develop an august
plot. Well finally Yugi in the story I hope it wasn’t to rushed and you like
this chapter I will try and update later and again sorry for the late update.
