Nazo no Kisu (Mysterious Kiss) - Extended Version
Chapter 38 is upon us readers! I would like to thank each and every one of you for reading and
reviewing! You are are such a great inspiration to me! I can't say it enough!! In today's chapter,
things get very interesting between Yugi and Atemu. What could it possibly be? Read on to find
out!
AN: Woah...that was a stab to the heart...*sniff sniff*
Chapter 38: Knowing Too Much
(Day Later)
I wake up to the sound of soft snoring in my left ear and a hand on my groin.
No...it's not my hand.
I turn around to face my sleeping love and kiss him softly on the lips. Not as to wake him, but
just enough to let him know I'm here.
He mumbles my name softly as I rub my hands through his wild tri-colored mane.
We've been united back together for a day now and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
I free myself from his loving embrace and go to the bathroom. As I'm washing my hands, I hear
a thump...thud...smash...
What the hell?
When I look in the doorway, I see Atemu standing, looking, panting...
"Thanks for helping me, Aibou." he says very sarcastically.
I laugh a bit and help him do his business and wash his hands.
We go back and lay down.
"Aibou?"
"Yes, Atemu?"
"I hope I'm not too much of a burden on you."
"No. Never."
"Are you telling me the truth? It's just that you can be out somewhere, meeing the woman of your
dreams. Getting married and having two kids. That's always been your dream, right?"

I place my fingers on his lips. I know what he's about to say.

We fall back asleep and wake up a few hour later to someone knocking rather rudely at my door.
"Who is it?" I say quickly putting on some shorts.
I toss Atemu his boxers and he puts them on.
"It's me, Jounouchi."
"Ok. I say walking to the door. Before I open it, I look to see if Atemu has his boxers on.
I open the door to see Jounouchi and Kaiba looking rather suspiciously.
"Were we interrupting anything?" Jou asks as they walk in.
Kaiba sits in the desk chair and Jou sits on the desk.
"Iya." I sya fighting off a yawn.
"Unless you count sleeping." adds Atemu as he lays with his eyes still closed. "What brings the two of
you over so early in the morning."
"Early?! It's 9am. This is not early." Kaiba says.
"We have some great news for Atemu." Jou says to us.
I gaze at Atemu as his eyes open and he looks in the direction of Kaiba and Jounouchi.
"Kaiba's doctors my be able to restore your sight."
What?!
There's no way!
I thought Atemu's doctor said there's no possible way to restore his sight because his eyes are so
sensitive! I look at Atemu once more who looks like he just seen the ghost of Pharaoh Atemu.
"There's a special type of eye surgery that was developed by Dr. Ushio Tazanaka for people with sensitive
eyes." explains Kaiba. "My dad talked to him and he said that although he may not be able to restore your
vision 100%, he can restore enough for you to only need glasses or contacts."
"Wait a minute. So I will be able to see again?! I will be able to see my Aibou's smile, his blush, his..."
"Atemu!" I say before he goes on to say something he and I both wish he hadn't.
"Wait. So how can I pay for such a procedure? I'm sure it costs a lot. My parents are financially secure,
but I don't think they can afford something like that!"
"My father, your parents, and Dr. Ushio can get together to discuss that. Most likely if your parents can
come up with half, then my father will be more than willing to pay for the other half."
"I have to call my parents!" exclaims Atemu as he jumps straight up in bed.
"Atemu, I"m sure they know by now. My father has already told them" says Kaiba.
I watch as Atemu bursts into tears of joy. Seeing him so happy, I could do nothing by follow suit as my
waterworks began. I hold Atemu against my chest as we cried happily together.
"Kaiba? Have you told my parents yet?" I ask.
"Yes. I did. They insisted I come and tell you personally." he replies as he wipes a stray tear from his
cheek. "You can have the surgery after graduation. In June."
"That's great!" exclaims Atemu. "Although I would rather have it now, I can wait until then.

(Fast Forward: 18 Gogatsu 20xx. One week before graduation)
It's almost time to leave Domino High School for good! Believe it or not, Atemu will be able to walk
with us also! I'm so happy!
Atemu's been taking the remainder of his classes with tutors and assistants. They say he's doing a great
job and will pass with flying colors.
Graduation is on the 25th and Seth, Taha, Mana, Mahado, and Akunadin are coming also!
When I finally get home from school, I notice Atemu's already here. How'd he get here so fast? He's
usually with tutors until 6 and it's only 5.
I go upstairs, hoping ot surprise him...that is until I hear two voices coming from my bedroom.
Who could be in here with Atemu?
'Atemu, I'm sorry! Kaiba is too!'
'Jounouchi, how many times am I going to tell you that I can not forgive you right now?'

As for the good news, it's graduation! Kaiba's Valedictorian. Never suspected anything less. And believe
it or not, Akefia is Salutatorian. I didn't know he was THAT smart. He's so quiet in class.
Right now, Takashi-sensei has just finished announcing the females and now, it's the males turn. I watch
as Ryou Bakura, Hiroto Honda, Atemu Ikhras, Malik Ishtar, Katsuya Jounouchi, and Seto Kaiba walk
acoss the stage. Then it's my turn. Please don't let me fall... I'm so nervous right now.
"Mutou Yugi." Takashi-sensei says.
I take a deep breath and walk across the stage and shake his hand. He smiles and hands me my diploma. I
walk down the stairs, careful of not tripping over my long gown and this overgrown cap.
As I'm sitting down, I hear Akefia Nakumon and Ryuuji Otogi's names being called. Along with the rest of
the senior class.
It's been a great journey so far, but I know it's only just beginning.
