Welcome to Chapter 34. Thanks for reading to this point! I love you all for this. Today, I'm going
to make things interesting for you all. What could be in my devious little mind? Well, you'd just
have to read on to find out! Oh yea, this chapter belongs to Yugi and the next one will be Atemu's.

Chapter 34: Conflict and Confusion Pt I

I see the world completely different now. Why did he have to tell me that? I never wanted to see
or think of my relationship with Atemu in this way. Mahado, why did you have to say those things
to me? Do you not want your grandson and I to be together?

Or is it for more of my benefit...

NO. Why am I even questioning myself?! My love for Atemu should never be questioned! Not by
me, not by him, not by anyone. Ever! I love him. I truly do! He does things to me that is indescribable,
uncomparable to anything ever!

But, Mahado is right. I do want to be a father someday and that's one thing Atemu will never be able
to give me.

Ah hell, I'm 5000 miles away from home. Fine time to be doubting myself.

"Yugi, are you finished?"

I turn around and see Mahado standing in the door.

I nod. "Yea, I am. I was just thinking about Atemu."

"I apologize for what I said earlier, but, it had to be said."

"I know."

"If I in any way made you think twice about Atemu..."

"No. You haven't. Don't worry about it." I say with the biggest fake smile I could muster up.

I am having second thoughts.

I pick up my empty plate and go downstairs behind Mahado. He gets the plate from me and takes it
into the kitchen. I spot Seth and go stand near him.

"Hey, we missed you down here." he says. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." I quickly lie. "Where's the bathroom? I need to wash my hands."

"Oh ok. Go back upstairs and it's the first door on the left. You can't miss it."

"Thanks."

As I once again ascend the steps I bump into someone.

"So sorry sir! I didn't mean to..."

"It's fine." the man says looking at me.

Why is he staring me down? I don't know anyone here!

"What's your name?" he asks.

"Yugi... Yugi Mutou." I reply to this tall man who has a good build and a shaved head.

He looks nothing like anyone in the Ikhras family. Believe me all of them can be picked from a crowd.

"So, you're the other one Atemu's with."

Other...one...? I better be the only one!

"Sorry for that, but my name is Shada. It's just Atemu's been with my brother, Karim."

Na...ni?!?!

Did I miss a major thing here?!

"From the look on your face, I guess you didn't know this." He says handing me a picture of the two
very close together.

Juunigatsu 18, 20xx! That was just before Atemu's incident! He was here in Alexandria during that time!
(AN: December 18. No year revealed. I don't even know what year it is LOL!)

"So, two lovers in two different cities, halfway across the world."

"Yep. Sorry you had to be caught up in it Yugi."

"Hey! Shada!" I hear someone yell.

I turn around to see the same man on the picture...standing right before me.

"Hey Karim. I would like for you to meet Yugi Mutou. I bumped into him a minute ago. But get this, it's
Atemu's other lover."

Karim gives me the deadliest look I've ever seen.

"Keep away from him when you go back. If it wasn't for you he wouldn't be in the shape he's in now."

"Yugi, have you been to the bathroom yet? I was getting worried... Oh. Hello Karim. Hello Shada."

Seth. Glad he came over when he did! It sounds like the three of them don't see eye to eye.

"Well, hello there Seth. It's been song long since I last saw you." says Karim.

"Don't even try it Karim. What have you been talking to Yugi about?"

"Oh, nothing. It's just I've been telling him how lucky he is to have Atemu's heart in the palm of his hand."
replies Shada.

Liar.

"Do you think I'm supposed to believe the two of you? I know how much you want Atemu back Karim."

"What does that have to do with you Seth?" he replies.

"That's my 1st cousin and he's not here, so I must speak for him. I don't appreciate you telling Yugi that
you and Atemu are still together. That one-year relationship ended 3-years ago."

"I was Atemu's first love and lover. No matter how he feel about me or his little twin here, he knows that
he still loves me."

"This is the wrong day and time for some petty childish oushi like this! Get over him already Karim and
get on with your life!" (AN: Bull....)

I continue to stand in silence and look as Karim and Shada leave us.

"Come on Yugi, let's get out of here. It looks like you've had the worst morning of your life." he says
stating the obvious.

As I start to walk behind Seth, I remember I have the picture. I take a quick glance at it then quickly
put it in my pocket.

We say goodbye to everyone as Seth gets the keys from his oji, Akunumkanon. The two of us get into the
car and leave. We go to a quiet area in Alexandria. One I've never seen or been to before. There are
a couple beautiful houses and a small secluded park. We get out and go into one of the houses.

"Where are we?" I ask wandering where he could be taking me...

"My home." he says as I follow him upstairs and into a bedroom. He flops on the bed and I sit in a nearby
chair. "You can sit on the bed. It is big enough. I don't care."

"Thanks." I say slowly going over to the bed and laying next to him. "I've never been here before."

"Nah, you haven't. Well, this is where me and my mom and dad stay."

"If you stay here, then why are you at Atemu's all the time?"

"Cause, mom and dad are always at work. I don't like to stay here alone. Besides, there's always something
to do at Atemu's. And did I mention there's more people?"

I smile a little at his comment.

"So, what's wrong Yugi? I can tell that you didn't enjoy yourself too much today. What could have grandma
and grandpa said to you?"

"Nothing. They just asked me some questions."

"No. They just didn't ask you questions. I wanted to ask you about it earlier, but we were around too
many people."

"They asked me about Atemu and myself." I say now fighting the tears away.

"It looks like from what they asked you, you're second guessing yourself."

"Please Seth, can I trust you with this information. If it gets back to Atemu, then it would just break
his heart. I love him too much to see him heartbroken."

"I don't know Yugi. It depends on if it's something to hurt him. Are you involved with someone else?"

"No! I'm not! He's the only person I'm with!"

"Ok, then I won't tell him."

"Thank you. But, there's something about me that I've never told Atemu. I'm sure he knows, but just
doesn't want to hear it. While I was talking with Mahado, he asked me a question. It struck me. Made
a pair of eyes open that I was trying to keep close."

"A heterosexual relationship..."

How'd he know?

"Yea... but, he asked me if I really wanted to be in a gay relationship all of my life. If I have any desire to
have kids someday."

"And you do."

The book of Yugi Mutou has been opened once again. Read on Seth.

"I've been thinking about it."

"And you want to break it off with Atemu soon."

Kami, why?!

I could do nothing but break down and give in to the tears and emotions flowing through me. I really love
Atemu. There's nothing in comparison! But, it's just I would really love to have a wife and kids. I mean
does this mean the end of us?

I feel Seth's hand pat my back.

"Your decision is hard Yugi. But I'm in no position to tell you to continue seeing Atemu or to break it off
to seek a female mate. It's entirely on you."

"What would you do Seth?"

"I have not walked in your shoes therefore, I am unable to answer that."

Shimatta! Some help you are Seth!

"You have to really think about this Yugi. It's a life-alternating decision that no one can make, except
for you!"

Why me? Why did I choose to get into this relationship? I should have left him chasing. But, all of what
we have been through together. There's no one in the world who I would rather be with and to go
through those things with than Atemu. And I waited on him, and I'm still waiting to return to him in 5
days.

It has to mean something more. Doesn't it? Or am I imagining it? Making it seem like it's better than
it is?

You're right Seth. You can't make this decision for me. I must make it on my own. Thanks for
helping me to finalize this decision. I know I've made the right choice.

"Thank you Seth."

"You've thought about it that quickly?"

"There was really nothing to think about. I just had to clear my cloudy head and in the sunshine was the
answer." I say smiling.

I take the picture from my pocket and rip it in half. Seth takes the halved picture from my hand and looks
at it.

"Yugi..."
