Darkness…
“I had to show
him his past. Even though he won’t believe it”

“Why was that
necessary?!! If you know that he won’t believe you, why did
you show him the tablet?!!”
Blinking…
“He will
understand my story better if he knows about his past… even though I didn’t
want to show him. I’m forced to”
Blinking… Light penetrating the
darkness… blinking… vision returning slowly.
“Do you work for
that stupid Pharaoh?!”
“NO!!! I hate
him as much as you do! My family has been forced to watch his grave and tell
him about his infinite powers when he returns! He has destroyed my family!”
Blinking… seeing Bakura’s angered face… where
of Bakura… he must have broken my fall… “…Bakura…” I whispered… not being able
to move…
As he heard me, he looked into my eyes with both a
worried and relieved expression “Seto! Are you all right?” he asked.
“… I think so…” I tried to move.
Bakura put a hand on my shoulder “Take it easy… don’t
rush it…” I merely nodded.
sat down next to us “Seto…” I looked at her “I’m very sorry for putting you
through that. I know that all of this has confused you greatly, but you must
know that what you saw was your past life.” I blinked… my past life…? I don’t
believe in such crap as rebirth and past lives…
“Did you see the three creatures that the Pharaoh
commanded?” she asked.
I nodded, Bakura blinked at
her “Do you mean the three gods?” gods? I looked up at him as he stared as
“Yes, the three gods…” she got up on her feet and
walked over to the stone tablet again and pointed above the figures at three
pictures that were around something that reminded of the Millennium Puzzle
“Osiris…” she pointed to the creature over the puzzle, “…Obelisk…” she pointed
to the one on the right side of the puzzle “And of course, the Sun God, Ra” and
she pointed at the last creature.
“Gods…?” I asked.
“Yes, the infinite power of the Nameless Pharaoh lies
within the three gods and his Millennium Puzzle”
“Why are you telling us this? We’re against him…” I
said and tried to get up, with a little help of Bakura, I was soon up on my
feet again.
“I know. I’m against him too, for what happened to my
brother is his fault”
“Your brother?”
I asked.
“My younger brother was the one who is suppose to tell
the Pharaoh about his infinite powers, but my brother got more obsessed with
the thought of getting the power to himself, if we don’t stop him, he will get
killed in the end”
“And why should we help you?” Bakura asked her “If you
hate the Pharaoh that much why don’t you let your brother have them if he’s
able to take them?”
“It would benefit the both of you greatly to help me.
You will get what you desire and…” she turned to me “You will get your chance
on getting revenge on the Pharaoh”
Bakura and I looked at each other, this looked like a
win-win situation “We’ll help you
I said.
“Thank you” she said.
“How will your brother try and take the gods?” Bakura
asked.
“As you know that the origin of Duel Monsters is in
ancient
and that Pegasus made the game out of that fact, and he even went so far that
he made cards of the three gods, but since no on could control the power of
those cards, Pegasus sealed them away”
“But if they are sealed away then your brother can’t
get the power he seeks” I said.
“My brother does already posses two of them already”
She stated.
