Loving a Stranger
"I don't know you...." Atemu's voice shook.
"But, you can't forget who I am, or you, please remember." Yuugi couldn't stand the fear in Atemu's eyes.
It wasn't like him to be scarred. Yuugi never saw Atemu without corage. It was like seeing a dog with no loyalty,
or a cat with no independence.
"What do I do?" Yami grabbed Yuugi by the shoulders. Yuugi was now just as frightened as Atemu was.
"TELL ME!" Atemu cried, shaking Yuugi. "Please." He let go of the little boy and fell to his knees. "I'm
scarred, where am I?" Atemu cried. Yuugi knelt down and hugged him trying to make him feel secure.
"It's ok, don't be scared." Yuugi tried to convince him. Yuugi had realized he had to be the brave one
now. "Come on Yami, let's get back to the Cabbin." Yuugi said. Atemu stopped crying and gathered himself up.
"Is that my name?" He looked at the younger boy.
"Yes, you are Yami, and I'm Yuugi, your lover..." Yuugi tried to explain, Atemu thought the last thing he said
wasn't true, but something deep inside told him otherwise.
"how can I be sure what you say is true?"
"Trust me, I would never lie to you." Yuugi said. "Come on, get back up on your feet." They helped eachother up.
"Now follow me, we'll go find the others." Yuugi held Atemu's hand and lead him back to where the cabbin was.
