Part Three: Seperation
Thx to Molly for her help and to jackalynn and usmorgen for their reviews. =)
Note to self: write Jack more often, he's tremendous fun.
Chapter includes explicit Godwin/Jack, enjoy! XD
Part Three: Seperation
At some point it had become impossible to hide Stardust, not only because of her size but also because Yusei wouldn't back away if challenged and Stardust had a way of winning duels for him. It didn't matter though, especially since he didn't rely on the orphanage anymore. He had his own place that offered him shelter (sort of) and despite the fact that he wasn't much of a talker he had a few close friends that made him not miss Jack every single hour of the day. Of course, Stardust helped with that, too, but she had been capricious for over two months now and while most people probably didn't pick up on it her behavior did take its toll on Yusei's inner peace.
He tried to distract himself by working on his D-Wheel. His second D-Wheel, strictly speaking, because Jack had taken the first one when he left for the city two years ago. He wasn't angry with him. He didn't really understand it, and Jack should have known that asking for it would have been enough, but done was done and now his time was best spent working instead of worrying. Rally and the others didn't get that, but they let him be, most of the time. Occasionally they cursed Jack for what he had done, and since Jack had been their friend, too, Yusei figured it was their right, but that didn't mean he had to agree.
He checked his laptop once more and stuck his head back into the D-Wheel's engine. This one was better than the original white model, much faster and more agile, which fitted Stardust's quick and unpredictable moves. Though few people in Satellite took part in riding duels it was still something that had captured Yusei's attention and fascination, and he had found that he was pretty good at it, too. Speed came as natural to him as height did to Stardust, and they were both equally unafraid of it.
He shut the engine's hood and decided to take the D-Wheel out for spin. Stardust needed to spread her wings anyway, she had been agitated all day after one extremely unsatisfying duel in the morning. Of course, Yusei knew that wasn't what had her so on edge; he had gotten more than just one kind of 'the talk' and the reason for his girl's condition was simply that she wouldn't be just a girl for much longer. He wasn't quite sure what exactly he was supposed to do then – even though at seventeen he was far from naïve and had some general ideas – but since he had no way of doing anything about it at this point he might as well just wait and see.
He put on his helmet and pushed the D-Wheel out onto what was left of a long abandoned subway tunnel that served as an entrance to his hideout. He felt Stardust at the back of his mind, a familiar and comforting presence. She instantly knew what he was up to and roused from where she had been resting, up on some roof in the sun. Like any monster that bonded to a human they shared some sort of mind link that let them communicate, but it wasn't exactly words, more like feelings and general impressions. Now she knew that he wanted to ride and restless as she had been these days she couldn't wait to join him.
They loved to fly together.
*
By nightfall Satellite became like a black hole in terms of illumination – Neo Domino City however was bright with lights and entirely sleepless, especially when a Riding Duel was taking place.
Once more Jack accelerated his D-Wheel to full speed. “There's only one king”, he proclaimed proudly, “And that is me!”, he sent the masses roaring as they applauded and screamed his name. He truly was their king, if adoration was anything to go by.
Red Demons soared through the pitch black sky, then dove to fly next to him, almost close enough that had Jack reached out he might have touched the tip of his wing as he took a last round through the stadium. This was what he was born for, to stand on top of the world, with Red Demons by his side. The vision was lacking something, but that, too, would come to him in time.
For now, he would take Godwin's support to secure his position as king and he would have to lie to say he didn't enjoy it. It didn't bother him; the man might have his own intentions and hell if he wasn't a secretive bastard, but he was a genius when it came to getting things done, and he always answered Jack's questions – or at least told him, that he wouldn't. He never lied and most importantly, he wanted Jack to be king and had faith in his abilities, which was one thing they had in common.
*
The doors to Godwin's office opened with a smooth technical sound; the spacious room was barely lit, even though the night sky was thick with clouds and starless so the huge windows that took up the whole wall opposite the door were no source of light either. The pale haired man had looked out over the city but when Jack entered he turned around, smiling his confident smile that only failed to bother Jack because Godwin didn't strive to be king, but advisor.
“It was a victory worthy of a king.”, he said, “As expected of you.”
Jack didn't want praise where it wasn't earned. “He was so weak an opponent that the hardest thing was to make the duel entertaining.”
“Yet you did so, and it was a grand duel, despite the insignificance of your objector.”, Godwin argued and held out his hand. “Come here. I'll reward you.”
Jack didn't hesitate to follow the invitation, it was something Godwin had insisted on since their first encounter; success was to be rewarded, failure due to mistakes was punished. It was a strict discipline, but a fair one. And Jack rarely failed at anything.
He let himself be pulled behind the heavy wooden desk, suspiciously empty of all the paper work that the Chief of the Public Security Maintainance Bureau – try saying that tree times fast – usually drowned in. He was pushed against that very same desk, resting almost on it as Godwin pressed himself against Jack, that tall familiar shape covering him easily. By now it was nothing if not natural to let his fingers dig into the thick, silver-ish hair as Godwin leaned in to kiss him.
Godwin's kisses fitted them both; they started out controlled, reserved almost, but quickly became more passionate. Jack believed in both, control and passion, and that one needed the other. He returned the kiss in kind, helping when the older man began to systematically rid Jack of his clothes. Godwin never denied the fact that he loved Jack's naked form, even just to look at, but mostly to do things to. Like running his gloved hands over the expanse of Jack's chest and stomach, then down to tease his already semi-erect cock.
Jack let his head rest on Godwin's shoulder and sighed with arousal; he wasn't exactly vocal, something his lover-slash-mentor liked to remark on every now and then because of the apparent irony, but his silence didn't mean he didn't appreciate the attention paid to his body. Quite the opposite.
Precum began to stain Godwin's ever present gloves. “Ah, you like that, dear boy, don't you?”, he murmured against Jack's ear, receiving a definite nod as an answer. “Then you will like this even more.”
And before Jack could decide whether or not to grace a comment like that with an answer, Godwin was on his knees between Jack's legs, one hand still at the base of his cock, the other fondling his balls and that alone could drive him crazy. And then Jack couldn't help but let out a loud and pronounced moan as the wet heat of Godwin's mouth engulfed him, completely and without hesitation.
His hands grabbed the desk's brink so hard that his knuckles turned white. He gasped for air as Godwin started to suck on him as if his life depended on it. Jack would get over how good Godwin was at this particular exercise, right about when the sun went out and hell froze over and Kuriboh defeated Red Demons in a duel. He wanted to push into that moist cavern, but strong hands on his hips kept him still. Then the suction faded, only to be replaced with a skilled tongue swirling over his head and along the whole length, making him throw his head back in abandon. Nothing made him lose it like Godwin's rewards. His body was on fire and soon... soon...!
“Godwin... God...!”, he groaned, fighting to keep his voice down.
A hand on his thigh tightened for a moment. A reminder.
“Rex! Going to–“, and it was alright, because Rex just swallowed him again, letting him buck and move to find his release. He looked up at the dark sky where the clouds had begun to break up to reveal a bright full moon.
'Yusei!'
And then he came, moaning and eyes wide open, seeing stars.
*
Stardust paced around the roof yet again and Yusei would really rather she didn't, but he felt the same eerie agitation as his dragon, he just didn't show it. He sat with her on that roof late at night, waiting for the moon to show itself while getting a lot of confusion from the other side of their mind link. Stardust didn't understand what was going on with her and Yusei couldn't explain it to her. Then, out of the blue, the image of Red Demons appeared in Stardust's thoughts and Yusei couldn't help the yearning he shared with her. He longed for Jack, but not only was he incredibly far away, he had also no idea what their dragons might want to do and what that would mean for them. Yusei was pretty sure that he could explain things to Jack, but whether or not the other would be willing to actually go through with it was another matter entirely. He'd been told that if Stardust chose a mate the decision would be taken out of his hands – but he didn't want that to be true for Jack, too.
He had to try though, if only for Stardust. The huge white dragon whined and pressed her head into his back, gently so she wouldn't push him off the roof. He was a little close to the edge. “I know, girl.”, he said and petted her head affectionately, “We'll go find him, I promise.”, and with that he meant both Jack and his dragon.
