Angels

Hope you like the story so far I apologise if I have made any mistakes in my previous chapters and in the ones to come…


Chapter 3


Joey had been placed under supervision since he left heaven making sure that he wouldn’t do anything which would make trouble for the archangels. Were ever Joey went their was an angel not too far behind.

It was starting to get on his nerves even if Joey tried to lose them they still spotted him. One night when Joey was about to go to bed their was a knock on his door “who the hell could that be”.

Joey opened the door to see Saphrion standing their “you” Joey grabbed Saphrion’s collar really tightly and had an angry look on his face. “You better call of these stalkers because I have had it up to here” Joey said.

Saphrion grabbed Joey’s wrists and shoved the boy away “I had come to tell you that you’re in danger”. Joey gasped “danger what kind of danger” Saphrion just walked into the apartment without being invited.

“It seems that the leader of hell Satan as you call him has heard about you and has decided to capture you and bring you to hell” Saphrion told him. “Right so some guy wants to take me to the underworld yeah if I would believe such crap” Joey replied with a laugh.

“After all you have seen and experienced I thought it would be easy for you to believe however I guess it just shows that you are an idiot” Saphrion said. “Idiot hey listen here pal I am not an idiot and how can I trust you anyway what you might be telling me is nothing but bullshit”.

“Very well if you will not believe me then fine but don’t blame me if you get attacked” and with that said Saphrion vanished. “What a jerk”, Joey decided to go to bed since he was very tied.

Just like Saphrion said Joey had been getting attacked it was a pain luckily he had been able to escape before they could get their hands of them. Joey wasn’t sure how much he could stand soon they would get him.

Joey couldn’t go back to his apartment since they already knew were he lived and all. “Man this Satan guy must really have it in for me this is the third guy today” Joey said to
himself just after escaping from another dark angels clutches.

Saphrion had been watching Joey up from heaven, he found it quite entertaining seen Joey fight of all the dark angels that had been going after him. “Saphrion it is quite cruel of you to just watch and not help the more guy” Michael came up behind him.

“He didn’t want to believe me so now he must suffer the consequences this is what you get for defying my information” Saphrion replied. “Defying that’s quite harsh I guess that proves that you are the angel of penance”.

“I have already told you before Michael to not use that word around me” a glare came upon Saphrion’s face. “Okay you don’t need to get angry besides even if you don’t like the word penance it is what you are but hey surly some were inside you your feeling quite sorry for the dark angel” Michael then walked away.

Joey had just been ambushed in the park luckily no one was around however he wasn’t having very much luck. A blow was hit to the head and Joey was about to collapse when he saw a bright white light before falling into darkness.

The next thing Joey woke up and found himself on his lounge in his apartment. “Do not worry I have put up a barrier to keep the dark angels at bay for a while”. It was Saphrion, Joey was really surprised to see him.

“I take it you were the one who saved me back their in the park I guess I give you my thanks”. “I did not do it for you the last thing we need is some brat ruining the balance between heaven and hell” Saphrion said.

“Right well what ever I don’t care but tell me why are you here anyway” Joey asked “I have been told by the high council to tell you everything but you must keep it to yourself is that clear” Joey nodded his head.

“I guess I should start from the very beginning so it will make sense to you, thousands of years ago their was a battle between two species one known as angels and the other was demons”.

Saphrion continued “the war went on for many years until it was decided that two dimensions would be formed one as heaven and the other hell, when heaven and hell were created the angels were sent up above why the demons were sent down below”.

“Okay I’m with you so far” Joey said, “both angels and demons alike were not allowed to leave bringing the war to an end however an angel had gone against god and was punished by being banished and sent to the underworld were he became the ruler known as Satan but his real name was Lucifer”.

Joey nodded his head remembering a story about a fallen angel called Lucifer who went to hell. “Lucifer decided to create his own angels which are called dark angels because of their black wings and dark hair, god decided that it was an angels duty to guide humans souls to heaven but only the good ones why Satan had decided that his dark angels would guide the bad souls to hell” Saphrion kept saying.

“Soon after to keep heaven and hell in balance both angels and dark angels had to work together and partner up making sure each were doing their duty and taking the rightful soul to their destination, if this was not followed either the angel or dark angel would be punished”.

Joey kept nodding his head taking all this information in “amongst angels there are different ranks from the highest to the lowest, the highest rank is known as a power which is what I am my job is to make sure angels and dark angels are doing what they have been told if not it is I and three other powers to punish them” Saphrion still had much more to say.

“What are this punishments may I ask” Joey was curious “punishments for angels if they did not complete their tasks when their time runs out on earth then they are stripped of their powers but with dark angels their punishment is being tortured back in hell” Saphrion told him.

“However there are certain rules that both angels and dark angels must follow if not the punishment is far worse”. “Then what are these rules you talk of” Joey asked “there are two rules one neither an archangel or a dark angel may fall in love with one another or even with a mortal the second rule is that no human must know of our existence” Saphrion said.

“The punishment if those rules are broken what would that be” Joey asked again, “if either rule is broken an archangel is banished to the underworld and turns into a dark angel and a dark angel would turn into a demon” Saphrion explained.

Joey thought that was quite harsh just for loving someone who is not the same as you and being punished for it how cruel can it get. “So you have explained all that then what about me what is my role in all of this” Joey now wanted to know.

“Twenty four years ago an archangel known as Arianna had fallen in love with a human she ended up giving birth to a child which happens to be you Joey since your father is human and your mother was an archangel you are half human and half dark angel” Saphrion said.

“Half dark angel hey wait a minute you say my mother was an archangel then wouldn’t that make me a half archangel not a dark angel” Joey was now a bit confused. “Unfortunately not your mother was punished for falling in love with a mortal and was sent to the underworld were she became a dark angel”.

“With that you gained black wings not white but instead of dark hair you have blonde just like Arianna use to when she was still an archangel and hadn’t broken one of heavens rules” Saphrion said.

“So my mother was banished from heaven just because she fell in love with my human father is this your gods will, not allowing either a dark angel or an archangel to fall in love and not even with a human how immoral can someone be that is not punishment that is just plain evil” Joey was furious.

“How dare you say such things about god” Saphrion was getting angry hearing this human saying despicable things about his lord. “How dare I how dare he forbidding the one feeling that makes anybody feel happiness I grew up without my mother my dad searched high and low for her wondering why she disappeared is it gods decision to allow a single child grow up without his mum”.

Saphrion wasn’t sure what to make of this he could feel the sadness coming from inside Joey. Was the human right is it cruel to not allow archangels and dark angels to love who they please.

Saphrion then cleared that thought from his mind how could he think of such a thing. He was a power and a power should not disagree with gods wishes. Saphrion knew that if he stayed around Joey any longer then he might start thinking about things differently.

Saphrion soon realised that the barrier had been broken some how “now is not the time to sulk”. The archangel grabbed Joey and he released his white wings, Joey couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

They were the most beautiful wings he had ever seen, Saphrion wrapped his large white wings around them both before vanishing just when the dark angels entered the apartment finding it empty but seeing white silver feathers on the floor.

“Night you must come and have a look at this” one of the dark angels said picking up a silver feather from the ground and handed it to him. “So a power was here I see I am not surprised of course an archangel would get involved we must report this to Lucifer immediately”.

Down in hell a very attractive man with long purple hair and large black wings was sitting on his chair holding a glass of red wine. “So you have returned but without the boy I see” he said to Night.

“I am sorry my lord but he got away again but this time a power was with him” Night handed the feather over. “This is no ordinary power I would recognise this feather from any were it belongs to Saphrion”.

Night was shocked “Saphrion do you mean the angel of penance but what would he be doing with the human” Night asked. “Quite simple really he is trying to keep the order between heaven and hell in balance it is his duty as a power to do so”.

Lucifer smiled why twirling the feather with his fingers watching it glisten “I wonder how long it has been since I last saw him”. “I have heard that he is quite beautiful” a female voice was heard behind him.

“How long have you been listening to this conversation” Lucifer asked “not for very long I just heard the name Saphrion” she took the feather from Lucifers hand and looked at it. “Mmm yes just by the look of this glamorous feather it is no wonder god chose him to be one of the four powers”.

“Do you still have a grudge against Saphrion since it was he who sent you here” Lucifer asked. “Ha there are many dark angels down here who have a grudge against him and I am sure even he knows that however it is hard to get our hands on him” she replied.

“Tell me Arianna how would you like to know that it was Saphrion who had taken Joey” Lucifer smirked. “I see, so I take it that it was god himself who ordered Saphrion to take my son well please allow me to bring Joey here”.

Lucifer looked at her “no I have a better idea bring Saphrion to me instead I think it is time for a friend reunion”. Arianna bowed and she and some other dark angels went along to bring the archangel to their master.


Well I wonder if they will be able to catch Saphrion you’ll just have to read the next chapter to find out…
