Duelist Kingdom Revisted
---Chapter 3: Planning and Plotting

After about a 30 minute drive the car finally pulled up to Setos mansion, he got out, and started heading up the stairs to the door.

One of the people that worked at his house got the door for him and without saying a word he headed up to his study to plan out strategies. He went upstairs and into his study, locking the door behind him. He then went over to his desk placing his briefcase on the end of it before sitting down. Seto picked up the phone then and pressed a speed dial button for Kaiba corp.

"Kaiba Corp, Laura speaking how may I help you?" The main receptionist for Kaiba Corp answered.

"Put me through to the strategist department" Seto didn't even bother saying who it was, everyone there new his voice so it didn't matter.

"Yes Mr. Kaiba just a moment" she put him on hold and began to transfer his call as quickly as she could.

Seto waited about 10 seconds before the head of his strategist department picked up,

"Yes Mr. Kaiba how may we help you?"

"I need you to input Pegasus's deck into the computer and start running plays against mine, I have a duel with Pegasus tomorrow at 2. Have as many strategies as you can ready for me by 9AM, thats when I'll be calling." Seto said calmly into the phone as Seto turned on his laptop that was sitting on his desk.

"Yes sir we'll do our best"

"Good" Seto then hung up and proceeded in opening a few programs on his computer and then got out his deck.

'I don't think Pegasus would challenge me again without having some new strategy, unless he's more crazy then he was before which is hard to imagine. What has changed since he lost his eye? He know he can't beat it without me . . .'

A thought then crossed Setos mind.

'What if he did get it back!? No, no he couldn't have it back, that guy that is sort of friends with Yugi, Bakura, he stole it. Unless Pegasus somehow found him and actually got the Millenium eye back, which is highly unlikely, there is no way for him to beat me . . .'

Seto thought all of this over and over in his head trying to reassure himself that Pegasus couldn't beat him, but the thought that he might have his eye back, however remote it was still scared him a bit. After a while of thinking about this Seto was able to push these thoughts to the back of his head and begin strategizing for the following day.


At the same time at Yugis house, Yugi was trying to figure out how to get to Duelist Kingdom and how to get his friends to come. He didn't mind going if it was to help Seto get Mokuba back, but convincing the others might be a bit harder.

After thinking about it for a bit Yugi decided he'd call up Kaiba and ask if he could atleast make arrangements for them to get there, even if they couldn't go on the same plane or whatever with him.

Yugi picked up the phone and looked through the phonebook for Kaiba Corps number and dialed it.

"Kaiba Corp, Laura speaking how may I help you?"

"Hey uhm, this is Yugi Motto I was just wondering if I could have Setos number?" Yugi asked figuring he'd have to answer some questions.

"I'm sorry but I'm not aloud to give that number out to anyone."

Yugi sighed a bit then had an idea "Well then could you call his place and ask him to call me? Just tell him I have a question about tomorrow, he should call me then."

"Yes I can do that"

"Thanks alot" Yugi smiled.

"You're Welcome, Goodbye" she then hung up and dialed Seto's home number.


Setos phone on his desk rang and he picked it up and said a bit hurridly into the phone "Hello?!"

"Sorry to bother you sir but I just recieved a call from Yugi Motto"

"What did he want?" Seto wasn't in the mood to talk he was busy trying to come up with more ideas on how to beat Pegasus, although he figured he wouldn't need most of them it was better to be safe then sorry.

"He asked for your number but I said I wasn't aloud to give that out to anyone, so he asked me to ask you to call him, he said it concered tomorrow."

Seto paused for a moment. What if Yugi couldn't go despite him saying he could, and despite Seto threatening him?

"Alright I'll call him." Seto then hung up his phone and dialed 0 to get the downstairs phone.

A few seconds later the main Butler picked up the phone "Yes sir how may I help you?"

"Get Yugi Mottos number and connect me."

"Yes sir" the Butler put Seto on hold and began looking up Yugis number. He quickly found it and transfered Setos call to Yugi's number.


Yugi was at home waiting for Seto to call, when it finally rang after about 5 minutes he jumped a bit and answered.

"Hello?" He said figuring who it was already.

"You needed something Yugi?" Seto said still typing rather feverishly on his computer.

"Yeah, I know we're not aloud to get a ride with you tomorrow, but could you atleast make some arrangements since I'm not sure how I'll get there?" Yugi asked.

Seto paused again. Would that be okay with Pegasus? He didn't want to do anything to endanger Mokuba but it was better that they get a ride from him then they not show up he figured.

"Alright go to the airport tomorrow at 11AM, I'll have someone meet you by baggage claim and take you to a plane. Don't worry about cost I'll cover it just show up."

"Okay Kaiba seeya then."

"Yeah bye" Seto hung up the phone quickly.


Yugi sighed a bit about Seto basically hanging up on him, but considering everything that happened he wasn't suprised, he wouldn't have been too surprised if nothing major was going on anyway though.

Now to get his friends to come . . .

Sighing a bit Yugi picked up the phone and dialed Tea's number figuring it'd be easiest to convince her.

After a few rings Tea' picked up "Hello, this is Tea'"

"Hey Tea', it's me Yugi" he tried to sound as normal as possible.

"Oh hey Yugi whats up?" Tea's voice cheered up a bit.

"Not much, I just have a favor to ask of you."

"Oh yeah what?"

"Uhm . . . I kinda need you to come with me to Duelist Kingdom with me tomorrow . . ." Yugi braced himself.

"WHAT!? Why are you going there in the first place?! Why do I have to go!?" Tea' started to yell.

"Calm down I'll explain!"

After Tea finally shut up Yugi started talking again.

"Kaiba needs us to go, Pegasus has Mokuba and if you, me, and Tristan and Joey don't go I think something will happen to Mokuba" Yugi said calmly into the phone.

After a slight pause Tea' spoke "Alright, I'll ask some more questions tomorrow probably but for now just tell me how we're getting there."

Yugi smiled a bit glad it was rather easy to convince Tea' "Meet me at baggage claim at the airport tomorrow around 11AM, Seto's arranging a flight for us."

"Why can't we just go with him?" Tea' asked.

"He said Pegasus told him to come alone, and besides would you really want to go on a hour and a half flight with Joey and Kaiba in the same plane?"

The vision of those two making the plane crash was made clear in both their minds and Yugi and Tea' both shuddered a bit.

"Good point, okay seeya tomorrow Yugi"

"Seeya Tea' and thanks, bye."

"Bye" Tea' then hung up.


Yugi hung up after her and was rather relieved.

'Well that wasn't too hard, I didn't think it would be. But Tristan, and especially Joey are gonna be a bit harder to convince . . .'

Yugi then once again picked up the phone and dialed Tristans number.

"Hello?" But it was Joey that answered not Tristan.

"Joey? What are you doing at Tristans house?" Yugi asked a bit puzzeled.

"I'm spending the night why? You not wanna talk to me or sumthin?" Joey joked a bit.

"Of course not, I was gonna call you after Tristan, I have a favor to ask of you both."

"Oh okay just a sec" Joey turned his head from the phone and shouted a bit since Tristan was in the kitchen grabbing food.

"Hey Tristan! Pick up the phone in there it's Yugi! He has sumthing he has to ask us."

"Okay just a sec!" Tristan shouted a bit and you could hear clanking and a bit of yelling from the kitchen as Tristan made his way over to the other phone.

"Hey Yugi whatcha gotta ask us?" Tristan asked as he picked up the phone.

"Well uhm . . . I need you guys to come with me to Duelist Kingdom tomorrow" Yugi braced himself even harder this time.

At the same time Joey and Tristan both yelled very loudly "WHAT!?!?!"

Yugi fell over from the sheer force of their voices and quickly got up.

"Please guys I really need you to come!"

"But why!? We're gonna have to see Pegasus ugly mug!" Joey yelled into the phone.

"Yeah and the last time we went there it was really dangerous!" Tristan yelled right after.

"I know, I know, I'll explain but just hear me out!" Yugi said hurridly into the phone.

When there was no response Yugi figured they were all ears and started talking again.

"Kaiba visited me today, appearently Pegasus has Mokuba and if Kaiba doesn't do everything Pegasus asked he'll hurt Mokuba. One of the things he told Seto to do was get us to go to Duelist Kingdom tomorrow otherwise he's going to hurt Mokuba more then likely." Yugi then paused waiting to see what they were going to say.

Tristan spoke first "I feel for Kaiba, surprisingly enough, but I dunno if we should go this could be a trap."

"Yeah and besides, what would Kaiba do if it was one of us in danger and he had to come? Nothing! He'd say 'I don't care' or 'I don't have time for this', any excuse for him not to go!' Joey yelled slightly.

"I know Joey but do you really want to be like Seto? And Tristan I've alread realized it might be a trap for one of us but I don't want Mokuba to get hurt."

Tristan and Joey both sighed a bit.

"Alright Yug, I'll go but only cuz you're goin, not cuzza Kaiba" Joey said a bit reluctantly.

"Yeah I guess I'm in too" Tristan also sounded reluctant.

"Thanks guys! Just meet me at the baggage claim in the airport tomorrow around 11AM okay? Seeya then!" Yugi said a bit happily.

"Okay seeya then, bye Yugi" Tristan then hung up his phone.

"Yeah seeya Yug" Joey then hung up.

Yugi hung up his phone smiling a bit, happy that he'd gotten everyone convinced to go. But at the same time he was worried.


'What if something happens to my friends? I'll never forgive myself if they get hurt . . .'

A moment latter Yami spoke up 'I dont' think they'll get hurt Yugi, like Kaiba said the reason Pegasus wants you all to go is to see Kaiba get embarrased.'

'I know that but what if that was just one of Pegasus's lies?" Yugi was still worried.

'It well could be, but if Pegasus wanted to hurt you and your friends, I don't think he would have done so through Kaiba, it's not his style' Yami made a good point.

'Yeah I guess you're right, I feel a bit better now' Yugi smiled a bit.

He then considered packing but Kaiba didnt say he had to bring anything, but just incase he got his duel disk and his deck ready before he went to sleep.

He looked at the clock a few moments before he fell asleep, it was now 10 and Yugi wondered what was going to happen tomorrow. Without worrying about it much more though he shut his eyes and fell asleep.


10PM at Duelist Kingdom, Pegasus was sitting on the balcony outside his room in his normal red outfit with a glass of red wine in his hand. He was looking out onto the lake the moon reflecting on it rather angelically.

'Ah Kaiba boy tomorrow I will humiliate you infront of Yugi boy and his friends, in more ways then you could possibly imagine. Of course I'll humilate you in dueling which you might expect, but oh thats only the beginning of it Kaiba boy.'

Pegasus then sipped his wine closing his eye a bit, seeing as he only had his right eye. Where his left eye should have been his silvery hair fell on his face so you couldn't see the hole where his eye used to be. He lifted his head a bit looking up at the sky, causing the hair that was covering his face to fall a bit so the area wasn't completely covered. He then opened his eye, the moonlight making his eye shine a bit. However where his left eye was, where there shouldn't have been any shine, the moonlight made something shine, something metalic . . .

'Oh Kaiba boy you may think you're going to win tomorrow, but you are very very sadly mistaken'

Pegasus then began to laugh at his thoughts. The thought of him beating Kaiba at a duel, the thought of Yugi and his friends witnessing it, the thought of his little brother witnessing it, the thought of them witnessing what would happen after the duel, and the look on Kaibas face when he realized what was going to happen.

By the time Pegasus had gone through all his thoughts, he was laughing loud, and slightly crazy, up at the bright full moon.
