Summary: When Ryou’s dad catches him and Bakura making love, he breaks them up the only way him knows how. Follow the love between a yami and his hikari as they get separated and brought back together because neither gave up on the love they shared.

As soon as he got to the hospital, he saw Yami and Yugi standing near the door. Yami motioned him hurriedly over almost yelling, “Hurry, they waiting for him.”
Bakura run into the emergency room and gingerly laid Ryou onto he bed that a couple of doctors indicate to him. He was then rushed out of the room to rejoin Yami and Yugi. They all plopped on the provided chairs. None of them noticed how uncomfortable the chairs were or how plainly white the walls were as they stared at it, all very worried about Ryou.
Finally the doctor walked out into the waiting room. Bakura jumped sky high, he was so nervous, “What is it? What happened? Is Ryou okay? Can I see him now?”
The doctor spoke in a soothing and comforting voice, “He’s been stabilized. You can see him now if you want, but he’s asleep and needs to rest. There are some legal papers we have to fill out, but we going to wait until he’s awake.”
Bakura left for Ryou’s room as soon as the doctor said he could.
Ryou was laying peacefully on his back, hooked up to some monitors. Bakura sat in the chair by the bed, which was ironically the only chair in the room. He grabbed Ryou’s hand and kissed it sweetly.
Bakura whispered to love in hushed tones, “Ryou…baby…I’m sorry…I’m sorry that I couldn’t react fast enough…I’m sorry that you had to go through this…I’m sorry that you have to be here…I’m sorry—“
He was cut off as Ryou groaned then quietly whispered back, “Stop being sorry. It wasn’t your fault. It never was…so stop blaming yourself. I love and that’s all that matters.”
