Lost Man*
Yugi crushed Marik in a bear hug. He would’ve done the same to Bakura, but the thief gave him a death glare that he knew he didn’t want to test.
“Where have you been? You weren’t here yesterday! How come you’re not in your uniform?”
Marik kissed Yugi’s forehead. “We’re going to see Ryou. He’s in the hospital.”
Yugi rolled his eyes. “What happened? Bakura stab him?”
The two yamis looked at each other and Yugi blinked.
“Oh my god I was just joking!” He let go of Marik and pushed Bakura lightly. “You stabbed him?”
Bakura shrugged. “Accident.”
He looked back at Marik. “And Malik? How’s he?”
“With Ryou.”
The boy’s face paled. “Malik got stabbed too?”
Bakura laughed. “God no! Look at his face Marik! Who cancelled your Christmas midget?!”
Marik started to laugh as well and as Yugi grew angry, the two gave each other high fives. The short duelist huffed and sat back down.
“I don’t have to take this. Go away.”
“Aw, you made him mad!” Marik went over and sat beside his boyfriend, whispering in his ear. Yugi giggled and pushed him away.
“Thought so.” He kissed Yugi and tossed his keys to Bakura. “Hey, give me a few okay? I gotta talk to Yugi.”
Bakura rolled his eyes. “That’s a lie if I ever heard one. No fucking behind the school, please?”
“Get outta here!” Marik waved his friend off and pulled Yugi closer to him.
Bakura walked the halls, knowing he must look out of place in his street clothes, but not caring. He’d like to see someone try and stop him. As he approached his locker, he heard footsteps down the hall and turned to see who it was.
Seto Kaiba was walking down the hall engrossed in a cell phone conversation. As he passed Bakura, the two of them stared each other down, even as the CEO continued down the hall.
The thief opened his locker, unconsciously grinning. I wouldn’t mind that after a hard day of work.
He retrieved some items from a hidden hole behind a panel in his locker and closed the door, continuing to make his way out.
When he reached the outdoors, he saw Kaiba pacing. He neared Marik’s bike and got on, deciding to eavesdrop in his spare time.
“And I told you I wanted it done yesterday!...I gave you a chance when I took my luck on a college graduate as opposed to the experienced applicants I had lined up for this job…Your father no longer has anything to do with this. He got you the job and that’s all. Pack your things. If you’re not off the property by closing you will be arrested.”
He ended the conversation and dialed another number. “This is Kaiba…in regards to Itoshi. Get him off the property in thirty minutes.”
Seto hung up again and slid his narrow cell phone into his jacket. He then pinched the bridge of his nose and paced some more.
“Aw, looks like you got stress!”
The CEO glared at Bakura and began to go back inside, but the thief called out, and stopped him.
“Don’t go Kaiba-boy! Let’s talk!”
Seto stopped in his tracks and walked back over to Bakura not seen in most land animals. He grabbed the thief by his shirt and shook him like a British nanny.
“Don’t ever call me that again you worthless son of a bitch!”
Bakura smirked, very aware of the redness growing in his cheeks, He wouldn’t be able to keep up this façade for long.
“Hard day at work honey?”
“What’s your damage thief? Are you some sort of glutton for punishment?”
Bakura just smiled and this pissed Seto off even more. “Why don’t you just go your own way Bakura! I don’t know what your problem is, but that little tear jerker in my office doesn’t make us pals –”
“Not my fault you’re still chasing tail you can’t have.”
“Shut up you bastard –”
“You lost! Just face it. Yugi and Marik are joined at the hip and pretty soon they’ll be joined at the –”
Kaiba punched him, tightening his grip on his collar. “You…”
The white haired boy smiled. Kabia sure did smell nice. “We should really fuck sometime. The sexual tension is just killing me! Everytime I see you, I just keep thinking ‘Ummm, fuck you Kaiba, fuck you’!”
Seto shoved him off the side of the bike and was about to go after him when a familiar voice stopped him.
“Seto! What are you doing!”
He turned and was about to smile when he saw who was there. Yugi was running over, but Marik was right behind him, walking calmly.
“Yugi.”
The duelist went right past him and helped Bakura up. “Are you okay?”
Bakura grinned. “All I did was ask him if he had a hard day and he shoved me. Kaiba’s so mean, damn!”
Yugi frowned and rounded on Seto. “Is that true?”
“He’s a liar and a thief. There’s more to it than that.”
“Is that true Seto? Gosh, you can’t just treat people like crap because you feel like it!”
The CEO frowned. “I wasn’t. I –”
“We got a problem?” Marik wrapped his arms around Yugi and kissed his neck.
Seto’s face darkened and set his mouth. “Yes. It’s true. I shoved him right off the bike. He’s filth.”
“Bakura’s my friend –Marik!” he giggled and tried to stop the bronze Egyptian from kissing his neck.
Bakura smirked and came around to stand next to Yugi and Marik. He began to mouth “You lost, you lost” over and over again, but stopped when he saw rage building in the youth’s features.
“Yeah, we’re friends Kaiba. But, you wouldn’t know anything about that.” He listened to Yugi giggle again and turn to kiss Marik.
“Yugi’s Marik’s friend too now.”
The CEO clenched his fist and left the area before he said something he would regret.
Marik came up for air and hugged a dazed and giggling Yugi to his chest, watching the teen leave.
“Yugi’s mine. He should know that by now.”
The thief nodded, still staring after Seto. “Let’s go Marik.”
Yugi whined. “But you can’t just leave!”
“See ya later Chibi!” he took his keys from Bakura and straddled his bike. “I’ll pick you up, be ready.”
Bakura snickered and got on behind him. “Anyone can pick him up!”
“Hey!” Yugi picked up a rock and threw it past Bakura’s head. The two yami’s took off, Bakura waving and yelling, “Bye Midget!” after them.

Seto watched Yugi come in the building and stood where he could be seen. The boy perked up when he saw him and came over.
“Hi Seto, going back to lunch?”
“No, I was going back to the library.”
“Oh.” Yugi looked down the hall towards the cafeteria with a sad look.
“What’s wrong? Is someone bothering you?”
“No, it’s just I have no one to sit with today.”
“Hn. Your delinquent friends are all gone today. Pity.”
Yugi frowned. “God, why are you like this Seto! Is it because I’m with Marik and not you?”
The CEO winced and the boy shook his head.
“That’s what I thought! Well get used to it Seto! Just because it’s not you doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be with anyone else and treating my friends like crap isn’t going to endear me to you either –”
“That not what I –”
“You can be so nice sometimes! Why do you have to be this way?” Yugi turned away, crossing his arms. “I want to be your friend Seto, but not if you’re going to be this way.”
Seto set his jaw and did his best to control his voice. “Then, I guess we’re not friends.” He walked away before Yugi had a chance to respond.
