After the exhibit, everyone left the museum, well except for Yugi, Ryou, Malik, their Yami(s), Kaiba, Ishizu, and Jou who was still unconscious and now lying on a couch in Ishizu’s office.
“So you mean to tell me that you remember nothing at all about what happened in the bathroom?” Yami asked Kaiba in shock and disbelief.
“Look! I don’t remember a damn thing about the bathroom, not only that but the last thing I remember is going to bed at my home which was almost two days ago!” Kaiba yelled in frustration.
“That’s impossible! You’ve been walking around acting normal... well almost. You have been acting strangely.” Yugi said hesitantly as he sat on Yami’s lap.
“Explain.” Kaiba demanded, as he earned a glare from Yami who put his arms around Yugi for protection and comfort. “Well you have been almost flirting with Jou and trust me there was no mistaking that.” Yugi replied.
“Preposterous! Why in my right mind would I flirt with the mutt?!” Kaiba shouted. “Maybe because you’re in love with him and won’t admit it.” Bakura muttered.
“Who the hell asked you?” Kaiba growled. “Look all this arguing isn’t helping the situation, so I suggest you all calm yourselves.” Ishizu said as she sighed behind her desk.
“What situation, sis?” Malik asked. “If you haven’t noticed there are a lot of magical energies in the air and the fact we have a schizophrenic CEO and Jou has failed to wake up from whatever happened in the bathroom.” Marik answered.
“Correct, I believe I can shed some light on the situation… this all started when I sent you the Millennium Rod, Kaiba… it is rightfully yours after all you are the reincarnation of the High Priest Seth.” Ishizu said.
“Not this again!” Kaiba sighed. “We all know you don’t believe in magic Kaiba, but how else will you explain what has been going on?” Ryou asked Kaiba calmly, as the CEO failed to reply.
“Anyway in doing so you, Kaiba had unleashed something into the realm of the living to be exact the spirit of the High Priest you were so long ago.” Ishizu said. “He what?!” Everyone shouted, except for Jou who was unconscious and Kaiba who was strangely quiet.
“But what does it have to do with Jou? I mean a lot seems to be centered around him lately.” Yugi asked. “Very perceptive Yugi. You know the exhibit that was unveiled today… well that mysterious foreign priest that served the Pharaoh was in fact Jou or rather Jou’s past self.” Ishizu replied.
“I don’t remember such a priest.” Bakura said. “Well it was a secret even some of my royal advisors were kept in the dark, I recall that the priest’s name was Jouno and we disguised him as a slave, although the reason why escapes me at the moment.” Yami explained.
“Maybe I can fill you all in since the Pharaoh can’t… old age seem to be getting to him I’m afraid.” Kaiba chuckled, as everyone turned to Kaiba, noticing that his voice changed as well as his appearance.
“Seth?” Yami asked in astonishment. “Correct, it seems that I’m getting strong enough to communicate with you all directly now. At first I wasn’t able to unless my Hikari was unconscious, he did need the sleep from working himself too hard so I let him.” Seth said carelessly.
“So you have disguised yourself as Kaiba this entire time?” Ryou asked. “Yes, until he awoke in the bathroom not to long ago. Pretty good impression if I do say so myself.” Seth chuckled.
“Well go on and explain what the Pharaoh failed to.” Bakura said. “Patience Tomb Robber… anyway Jouno was in great danger in his own homeland and sent to Egypt for protection, we disguised him as a slave so no one would find out about his powers. Every now and again he would perform the duties of a priest if necessary, but it was always kept in secret.” Seth explained.
“So when he died he was given a priest’s burial and tomb now I understand.” Ryou said pensively. “That is correct, we felt that it was the honorable thing to do since he was a priest and he served the Pharaoh so loyally.” Seth added.
“Alright that explains a lot, but not why you have been acting so strangely towards Jou.” Malik said. “It’s obvious, Jouno and I were lovers in the past so it couldn’t be helped that I chose to flirt with his reincarnation every once and a while besides there is such a resemblance and not just in appearance.” Seth said softly as he stared down at Jou’s sleeping form.
“Amazing, but what does Kaiba have to say about this or does he know?” Yami asked Seth. “He does now and he’s not to happy about it, he’s conscious and aware of everything of this conversation. Well I might as well return to my soul room, I am tired from earlier and yes I will explain later.” Seth said as he retreated.
“I guess you believe everything now Kaiba.” Yami said with a smirk. “Wipe that smirk off your face, Yami. I can’t help but believe when I can see and feel another person sharing my soul.” Kaiba said sarcastically.
“Mmm… what happened?” Jou awoke, as Yugi, Ryou, and Malik rushed over to their now awaken friend. “You were out for a while Jou, do you remember what happened?” Yugi asked. “Strangely enough not a thing, the last thing I remember is leaving to the bathroom.” Jou replied.
“You collapsed in the bathroom nothing to worry about, mutt.” Kaiba said before anyone else could answer. “Oh so I assume you found me in that case thanks.” Jou smiled at Kaiba, as Kaiba blushed slightly.
“Yes, well I have to go take care of some business.” Kaiba said as he left the room suddenly. “I’ll be back.” Yami said as he ran after Kaiba. “Wait a second Kaiba, why did you tell Jou that, we all know something happened in the bathroom and now it seems Seth is the only one who remembers.” Yami said.
“Seth asked me to tell Jou that besides I have a feeling the less Jou knows the better.” Kaiba said seriously, as he saw Yami smirking at him. “What?!” Kaiba shouted in annoyance.
“You called him Jou. You never call him by his name. I see you like him more than you care to admit, Kaiba. You’re starting to slip.” Yami said smugly. “Whatever Yami, look he’s your friend you look after him, I’m just caught in the middle as usual.” Kaiba said as he left the museum.
“I’ll never understand him.” Yami sighed as he went back to Ishizu’s office on the way he looked around as if searching for something. “I could have sworn I sensed something, I’m going to talk to Seth first thing in the morning... I want answers.” Yami thought as he went back into the office.
