Chapter 3

Disclaimer: You know the drill.

Warnings: See other parts. I'm laaaaaaazy.

Author: Koneko Shido

A/N: I ran out of cheesecake, which bugs me. Thus, someone else needs to die. Another OC, people. Oh, and for those who don't know, MO stands for Modus Operandi, which is the way a criminal operates, specific things he/she does at every crime scene, that sort of thing. I watch way too much CSI. I can't help it! Grissom is my hero!

Dark Light 3

Who in their right mind would walk under a dark, crumbling bridge next to a canal when there's a murderer on the loose? Apparently this girl would. Well, she'll learn her lesson tonight. I very much doubt she'll ever do it again. Heheheh.
I've decided to hide under this nice bridge, since it's still daytime and I like the darkness. I waited ages for someone to walk along this stupid path beside the canal, but finally this girl has appeared to relieve my boredom. Yes, Yami Bakura is an equal-opportunity murderer. I'll kill anyone, pretty much. Except children. But that's just because I hate going anywhere near the little bastards. I just wait until they grow up, then kill them. It's all good. If you're me. If you happen to be one of them, you're pretty much screwed.
Oh, and I wouldn't kill Ryou, either. I've decided to convert him to my evil ways, because the poor little guy really looks like he could use some stress relief. And I like his eyes. That's quite strange, because usually when I like someone's eyes it means I want to gouge them out with a spoon and mail them to some random person. With Ryou, I like his eyes in his head. They're like melted chocolate or something. Nice. I'll have him sooner or later, one way or the other.
Let us get back to the matter at , th, though. My latest victim. She looks like she's in her late teens, and she has shoulder length blonde hair and brown eyes. Not like Ryou's eyes, though. Her eyes look more like a deer or something. She looks like she'd probably be really annoying, maybe something like that Tea bitch Ryou gets forced to be nice to. She's on my list.
Ah, she's almost here. Now, selected weapon of the day? Hmm. What shall I use this time? I like a little variety, to keep the idiots guessing. That's another reason I'm doing this in the daytime, I wanted to change my MO a little. Keep the cops guessing. I think this time I'll use a broken bottle. They're always nice. And I suppose I should make it quick, I want to get back and see how Ryou's getting on.
Well, here she comes. She steps into the shadows under the bridge and pauses, looking around a little nervously. She can't see me, of course. After a few moments she deems it safe to enter and jogs forward into the darkness, looking at the floor. She really should have been paying more attention, carelessness kills, you know. As she passes me I step out behind her and reach out, grabbing a fist full of her hair and yanking her back. She screams, but that doesn't really bother me. It isn't like anyone can hear her anyway, and if they tried to help I'd just kill them too. So now I'm behind her, holding her by the hair as she screams and struggles like a wild animal. Fool. In my free hand I have a bottle, so I smash it against the support of the bridge and plunge it deep into her back. That was fun.
She tenses, her screaming stopping, and makes a tiny, pathetic choking noise as blood trickles over her lips and down her white shirt. Then her eyes slide closed and she goes limp. I let her go with a sneer and she falls to the ground, the bottle still sticking out of her back and half filled with her blood.
I consider robbing her for a moment, just to confuse the detectives since I haven't bothered taking anything from any of the others. I'm in a rush, maybe next time. After all, it's not like there's anything I need to buy that I couldn't just steal. Well, busy, busy. Off to check on the hikari.
