29: An Invitation
I went into my office and picked up the phone “Seto
Kaiba speaking”
“Hi!
eyes.
“Why do you call me at this hour on a Friday?” I asked
and threw the clock a glance, it was
past seven
bedtime.
“Well I want to
apologise for that you became one of the main suspects in my father’s death”
she sounded sincere.
“Well, it’s not like it’s your fault…” I answered.
“Well damn
straight it isn’t!” I heard her nanny in the background telling Unicorn to
apologies.
“Well, this conversation is over, good night Miss
Crawford” I said and hung up not even waiting for an answer.
I snorted before leaving the office to go to the
living room, stupid brat! Who does she think she is?!! Well she is her father’s
daughter all right! Just as annoying!
I wondered why such a brat could become C.E.O. of one
of the biggest company’s in the world! But still her company is far from as
successful as my Kaiba Corp.!
I shook my head, I will not allow myself to sick down
to her level! I have my dignity to think of!
“Nii-sama!!!”
I snapped out of my wheel of thoughts as I entered the living room “There’s a
news report on a huge Egyptian exhibition here in Domino!” Mokuba said and
pointed at the screen.
And I sat myself next to Bakura and watched the news.
“We stand here
with Isis Ishtar, the one who is in charge of the exhibition here in

The news reporter turned to the young woman standing
next to him, she was a pretty girl, with long black hair and pale green eyes,
but still my eyes went to her rather odd necklace… it had the same eye on it as
the Millennium Ring and Millennium Puzzle.
Bakura seemed to notice it as well as he focused his
eyes on the necklace.
“Yes it was a
rather long flight, but what I’ve seen of

her face… it was like she saw me… and why would she want to invite
or something…
“If he would
like to come, he is allowed to bring a friend” she said and then she looked
to the reporter again and the interview ended soon after.
Then I blinked twice before I turned to Bakura “Want
to go?”
