Nazo no Kisu (Mysterious Kiss)
Kon'nichiwa minna! Welcome to chapter 28, which is the continuation of the 'filler' from chapter 27. Yugi and
Atemu will get POV duties. So please continue to enjoy!

Chapter 28: Countdown
(Saturday 7:30pm)
*BAM BAM BAM*
Huh?! What?!
"Yugi?! Open up!!"
Jou...
I sit up in bed, and see that my pillow is stuck to me...oh crud...
"Give me a minute."
"What are you doing in there?! Open up!"
"Are you alone?" I ask, not wanting anyone, not even him to see me right now.
"Yugi Mutou, if you don't open this door. I will break it down!"
'You better not break that door or I'll break you!'
I laugh as I hear dad yell at Jou.
'Gomen nasai, Masanori-kun.'
I open the door, revealing Jou on the other side.
He walks in and the first thing he does is cover his nose.
"Atemu's in Egypt, so who else could it be?" he asks.
I turn as red as the tips of my hair...
"Was it that good Yugi?" he asks.
Ok...here comes the deep-red blushing again.
"Wow, Yugi." he says looking at the bed. "Do I need to come back later?"
It would be nice...
"Ok, I'm catching the hint. Be back later. No, better yet, just call me." he says leaving.
(Sunday 8:02am)
I'm awake. I'm surprised. 8am on a Sunday and I'm up. Atemu...he can call at any minute!! I hope it will
be soon. I really miss talking to him.
But...yesterday made me feel as if he was really here with me. Is my imagination that strong?
*ring ring*
Is it him?! He wouldn't call this late...I mean this early... It's only 1am there.
*ring ring*
I'm so scared to pick up the phone...
*ring ring*
"Moshi...moshi..."
"Ohayo, Yugi!"
Tsch...it's only Jou.
"What...disappointed it's me?"
Duh...
"What are you doing up this early Yugi? You usually don't get up until around noon on Sundays... Ohh, I
almost forgot, Atemu is supposed to wake up and call you today."

"He shouldn't be calling anytime soon. If I'm right, it's midnight there."
"No, it's 1:10am. Alexandria is 7 hours behind Domino City."
"Well excuse me Mr. Time Zone Expert."
I laugh at his comment.
"Well, is it safe for me to come and visit you today Yugi?"
"No." I quickly say. I really don't want to be bothered with anyone today. "Come tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?! You are so unfair Yugi! What am I supposed to do until tomorrow?! I won't have a bit of rest
until I know that you've talked to Atemu! Another depression like 6 months ago and I may go insaine!"
"Look, here's the deal. When I talk to Atemu, I'll call you and tell you ok."
So, I guess I have to check in with mommy now....
"You better Yugi. Or else I'm coming over and into your room no matter what you're doing!"
"I'm not sure you want to see everything I do in this room."
"On second thought, I'd rather not come in and see whatever you're doing." he replies laughing.
"I have to go now, Jou. I will call you back later ok."
"You better. Ja."
"Ja ne."
I hang up the phone. I wish he could call me soon, I'm so worried about him.
(Alexandria, Egypt) *Atemu's POV*
Light...damn light...
*YAWN*
Hibernation over. Finally. Yugi! How is he?! I can't see the phone! Damn, I can't call him! I guess it's still
night. No light coming from the window. Guess I have to wait until someone comes in the morning to talk
to Aibou.
*SIGH*
This sucks. Even though I feel 100% better, I still can't see worth flip. Having only 25% of your vision to
use is really different. No color, no true shape...it's just black and white blobs. Some blobs move, some
don't. It's a world I have to get used to.
'knock knock'
I hear the door open and...the doc comes in.
"Hello there Mr. Ikhras." he says.
"Hello Doctor."
"How are you feeling? Did you sleep well?"
"I feel much better than before I went to sleep and yes, I slept well of course."
I feel something under my gown and press against my chest.
"Take two deep breaths please."
I obey the doctor.
"Ok, you sound great. I will return later in the morning to run some final tests on you. After that, you are
a free man."
I gasp...did he say free?
"Does that mean what I think it does Doctor?"
I hear him chuckle. "Of course it does. You are able to return to Japan for as long as you would like. The
only thing I require of you is one week of your life once a year."
"So I still have to get the medicine."
"Yes. This is to prevent any other wandering virus to multiply. I must make sure that there is no sign of
the virus still in your body."
"Ok, everything looks good now. So, I will return in the morning. Until then you can go back to sleep if
you wish."
"After 168 consecutive hours of sleep, do you actually think I need any more?"
He laughs as he leaves the room.
And once again I'm alone. I look towards the window to see some light coming through, but not much.
Someone should be here soon.
I lay in silence, near darkness, wandering about my Aibou. How is he? I wish I could talk to him right
now!
'knock knock'
The door opens and Seth comes in.
"Good morning Seth."
"Morning. How are you feeling?"
"Doing great."
"Does someone want to talk to their lover in Japan?"
Duh...
"What's the number?"
I tell him the number and I feel the receiver being put to my ear.
"Moshi Moshi..." he says hesitantly.
Guess he's a bit nervous.
"Aibou! I'm so glad to hear your voice once again!"
"Atemu! I'm so glad you are awake! Did you sleep well? Do you feel better?"
I smile as I listen to his excited voice.
"Yes, I am doing great!"
"So, when will you get out of the hospital?"
Today.
"I don't know. The doctor still wants to keep me a bit longer to see if everything is ok."
"So, it's going to be after New Years before I can see you again?"
"Yea, that's what it looks like."
Hopefully sooner. I want to return to you as soon as possible!!
We continue talking until the doctor comes back in.
"It's time for your tests Atemu."
I move from one bed to another and taken to an all-too familiar room. The doctor ties my hair
back to get it out of the way. He really wants to cut it all off so it would better fit the machines,
but that's a no-no.
I get into this machine and it's like being in a giant light bulb. Even with the protective black
goggles and my vision loss, I can still see light. Lots of it.
I feel like someone put me inside of a 100 watt light bulb.
About 30 minutes or so later, I'm back in my room. Mom and dad are here too!
Mom's doing paperwork...I think. I know she's flipping through some pages and writing.
"Atemu, ibn. Your mother and I have something for you."
Is it my getting-the-hell-out-of-this-hospital gift?! I'm so ready to go!!
"You can go back to Japan in the morning."
What...
Did I hear that right?! I can go back to Yugi!! My Aibou!! I can't believe it!! Yes, that would be the
perfect Christmas gift to him!! Me!
I can't wait to feel his arms around me, his lips on mine, his dick buried deep within me. Just one
