The Nightmare!
Another day and ehre comes Chapter 28! I've been trying to get this chapter
up for the longest, but the computer I use is not accepting my diskette. :( So
I have to go the snail way and type all of this in. Grrrr.... Anyways, I really
hope you all are enjoying the story! Please continue to review! And thanks to
all that are reading and reviewing. Now it's time for Chapter 28 and a feature
POV of Jou!
Chapter 28: Free Me!
~Jou's Mind~ *Jou's POV*
The pain...so unbearable! I wonder when or if...I get my body back will it bruise
up like I am now? That damn Kat...he's so jealous! And then he hates Seto
because of what he did to him. What I still can't get to sink in is that my former
self, Kat, was lovers with Yami! Come to think of it, that may be the fuel for
my attraction to him! Wait a minute...am I secretly in love with Yami?? NO WAY!
That's just lust...
I feel someone touch me. I look to see Yami kneeling besides me and Kat standing
above us.
"'Jou, are you ok?'" Yami asks me.
I suddely feel my stomach hurt even more. Did I get hit again? I was so lost in thought
that I lost feeling of the outside world!
"'Kat, stop this! Take your anger out on me!'" I hear Yami say to Kat.
~Shadow Realm~ *Kaiba's POV*
Jou, hang on! I will save you from this damned curse! Ra, what's happeneing to his
body?? It keeps changing and then what's even worse is I can't even get close to it! Where
is Yami when you need him?
"Kaiba, how do you think we get closer to Jou?" I hear Yugi ask me.
"I don't know!" I yell out of fustration. "He keeps changing. Maybe...the Sen'nin Puzzle
has something to do with it."
"How about if Yami is inside of Jou." Honda implies.
He better not be! I got something for Yami when or if we get out of this! But then
again...if you are in there, please rescue him.
~Jou's Mind~ *Jou's POV*
Seto, I hear you calling out for me. I know you hate Kat for taking over my body. Just
be patient and with the help of Yami, I will escape him!
"Now, how shall I eliminate you Atem?" Kat asks him.
"'Tell me, how would I answer that question?'" He replies.
"I think that you want me out of here." Kat says slyly.
"It would be nice." I add.
"You shut up Jou! Be a good, quiet soul for once in your life! I'm going to finish what
I started!" he says lunging towards Yami.
He lands on top of Yami and he struggles to throw Kat from him. I wish I could help, but
I'm so weak. I can't do anything to help you now Yami. Please Kat...stop...don't choke
him! I close my eyes for a moment, and open them again to see Yami who's
unconscious and now Kat is after me again!
(AN: The next few scenes are going to flip-flop between what's going on in Jou's mind
and what's going on with Kaiba, Yugi, Honda, and Otogi.)
~Shadow Realm~ *Jou's POV*
The four men stand helpless to do anything about Jounouchi. All they could do was
wait.
Suddenly, his facial features began to change.
"What's happening??" Yugi exclaims as Kat's facial features begin to slowly appear
on Jou's face.
~Jou's Mind~
"I must get you out of my mind! This MY body, MY mind, and MY soul! You can not
and will not have it!" Jou screams to Kat.
"Nice words, coming from a powerless soul! As we speak, my soul is merging with this
vessel, and once it is complete, I will have enough power to kill both you and Yami!"
~Shadow Realm~
"Help...me...Seto!" Jou wimpers as he temporairly fights off Kat.
Kaiba walks closer to Jou. Kat's soul takes over.
"What...what are you doing?! Get away from me!"
Kat pushes Kaiba back, but he walks back towards Jou, even closer this time.
"Kaiba, wait! Don't get any closer!" Honda yells.
He tries to grab his hand, but Kaiba looks at him and Honda is thrown back. The
other run to his side.
"You ok?" Otogi asks him.
"Yea, I am." He says standing up. "It's like...he's not Seto Kaiba anymore."
~Jou's Mind~
Yami is still knocked out and Jou is struggling with Kat for everything he has to
protect.
"Give up now Jou! I've almost become one with this vessel! If you let me complete
my merge, then I may spare you!"
"Kat...I would rather die than to share my body with you! My death is the only
way you will successfully get my mind, body, and soul!"
"Well," Kat says somehow turning his right hand into a dagger. "that can be arranged!"
Kat raises his right hand and thrusts it towards his heart...
~Shadow Realm~
Kaiba inches closer and closer to Jou until he successfully touches him. Small spurts
of energy try to knock Kaiba away, but he withstands each deathly 'blow'.
"Kaiba, come back or you'll die!" Yugi yells to him.
"It's better to die alongside the one you love, than to die alone!" Kaiba says softly while
caressing Jou's golden mane. "Jou, if I die from this, I just want you to know that I love
you!"
Kaiba kisses Jou's shivering lips softly, passtelytely... For a brief moment, his attire
changes.
"Priest Seth..." Yugi says.
~Jou's Mind~
"DIE!" Kat yells until he is stopped. "I...I can't move! What's going on?! What did you do
to me??"
They didn't notice Yami disappear. A white light engulfs Jou and blows Kat from atop of
him.
"I don't understand...what power do I have?" Jou asks himself.
"Seth!" Kat yells as his body begins to disintegrate then vanish. "You will die for this
some day!"
~Shadow Realm~
Jou's hand raises up and softly begin to caress Kaiba's hand. Kaiba, shocked at his
action, pulls back from the kiss.
"Am I ok now?" Jou asks aloud.
A flood of 'Jou' and 'Jounouchi' could be heard from the others who are happy to see
him. No one happier than Kaiba. The Sen'nin Puzzle disappears from Jou's neck and
reappears around Yugi's.
"My...my puzzle!" Yugi exclaims.
"I'm glad to be back Seto. Thank you." Jou says to him.
"We will celebrate later my love, but for now, let's get that damed Anzu and Dream
Clown!"
