Mind Struggle
The Nightmare!
Welcome to Chapter 27! I hope everyone enjoyed the events of the
previous chapter! Thanks to all readers and reviewers! You make me
want to consider a spinoff maybe...? Oh anyways, back to the story
and a feature POV of you, the reader!
Chapter 27: Mind Struggle
*Dream Clown's POV*
Hmmm...how did he get the Puzzle around his neck so fast? Who
cares! I'm just glad he has it and not that damned Pharoah or his
hikari.
"Dream Clown, youurn urn those items right now!"
What?! What the fuck did he just say? Is my spell wearing off?
*Reader's POV*
"Did Jou just say that?" Kaiba says shocked at his action.
"I believe so..." Otogi replies.
~Jou's Soul Room~
Yami and Kat are looking at the cards spread before them.
"You...can do it!" Jou says weakly.
"Didn't I tell you to shut up! I own your mind, body, and soul! Be a
good inu and obey your master!"
Jou struggles to stand up.
"My body will not be controlled again!" Jou says angrily.
"In what condition are you to stop me? You can hardly stand!" Kat
says laughing.
"'Kat, just leave him alone and select your card!'" Yami tells him.
"Oh all right Atem. Now which one?"
"'Remember if you want to continue control of this body, then choose
wisely!'"
"A-ha! I want this one!" Kat says picking up a card.
He looks at it then laughs rather loudly.
"Ha! HA! HA! There's no way you will be able to defeat this card!" Kat
says showing it to Yami.
"'Magnet Warrior: Valkyrion...one of the more powerful monsters in my
deck. But tell me Kat, how does it fare against this card?'" Yami says
picking up a card and showing it directly to Kat.
Kat eyes widen and he gasps at the card Yami just showed him.
"There's no way! How could you have done that?! Without even looking
at the card!? How could you have chosen Osiris, a God Card!!"
Kat drops to his knees.
"'Now, a deal is a deal, release Jou's soul!'" Yami yells to Kat.
He says nothing for a while. Then he starts laughing.
"Why should I keep my promise Atem? Especially to the one who broke
his promise to me!"
Kat raises his head and stares at Yami. His eyes are now blood-shot red
and his ancient facial markings (scars on each cheek, from the base of his
ear to the side of his mouth and black-lined eyes) appeared.
~Shadow Realm~
Jou's body becomes unstable. Dream Clown and Anzu, not knowing what's
going on, slowly walk away from him. The Sen'nin Puzzle's eye shines
blindly.
"Jounouchi!" Kaiba yells running closer to Jou's body.
Yugi, Honda, and Otogi follow him. When Kaiba tries to touch Jou's body,
he is knocked back.
"What...what the hell is going on? I bet anything it's that Pharoah!" Dream
Clown says annoyingly.
"We can't get any closer to him!" Honda yells to everyone.
"Ryou, this would be a good time to try to get our items back." Malik says
to Ryou.
"Good idea." He replies.
Malik and Ryou run towards Dream Clown and knock the items from his
hands.
"You stupid hikari!" Dream Clown says walking towards the Rod and Ring.
Ryou and Malik try to cut off Dream Clown's path, but he beats them to
the items anyways. He places his foot on them.
"Pathetic. I will commend you for the effort though. But really, do you two
really want to mess with me? Apparently you two really must want the Tomb
Keeper and Tomb Robber back safely. Defeat me and you shall get your
wish!" He says laughing.
"What are we supposed to do? Since we don't have our memories, we
don't know our powers. But I'm pretty sure we have some." Malik says to
Ryou.
"We don't need any special powers." Ryou says confidently.
"What do you mean?" Malik asks.
"Maybe we could try to outwit him." answers Ryou.
'Believe in me Ryou!' Bakura's voice says to him.
"Did you hear that?!" Ryou says looking around to see who said that.
~~~
Yami, Kaiba, Honda, and Otogi are trying to get to Jou. He is still unstable.
Anzu is no where to be seen and Dream Clown is still standting on the Rod
and now glowing Sen'nin Ring.
"Look, Malik! The Sen'nin Ring!" Ryou says pointing towards it.
Dream Clown takes his foot off the two items and the Sen'nin Rod also begins
to glow.
''Malik, my hikari, you can trust me!" Marik's voice says to him.
"Hi...kari?" Malik says slowly.
Suddenly, Malik lunges towards Dream Clown.
~Jou's Soul Room~
Yami and Jou and looking at a changed Kat.
"He seemed much 'nicer' the other way he was!" Jou says jokingly.
"'Now isn't the time to play! This...his uncontrollable anger, was the reason he
was killed."' Yami explains to Jou.
"What do ya mean?" Jou asks, now shaking in fear.
"'He got the wrong person pissed off at the wrong time! And let's just say that
Seth wasn't too happy about it!'" Yami replies.
"Seto? Seto killed Kat?!" Jou says shocked.
"Yes, my insignificant reincarnation. Your now lover, Seto, or should I say Seth,
is the reason I'm now just a spirit!"
"What ever you did to him, I'm pretty sure you deserved it!" Jou yells to Kat.
Kat walks to Jou and slaps him.
"You...bastard! It's not my fault you died." Jou says to Kat. "Now, you get the
hell out of my mind and just rest in peace!"
~Shadow Realm~
Malik lands on top of Dream Clown and tries to hold him down while Ryou grabs
the Sen'nin Rod and Sen'nin Ring.
"I got them!" Ryou yells to Malik.
Dream Clown knocks Malik away from him. Ryou throws him the Rod.
"No! No! This can't be! How could I have let my guard down and allow these...
weak, annoying little hikari to take the Rod and Ring from me?! Give those back
you two!" Dream Clown says running towards them.
Before he could lay a hand on the two, he is knocked away from them, and the
two lift their heads.

-Cues dramatic music!- Where did Anzu go? Can Yami and Jou get rid of Kat? Are
Bakura and Marik back where they belong? Wow, there's so many questions to
