23: Unicorn L Crawford
After five minutes we all sat at the table in the
conference room, the brat just stared at me with huge eyes and seemed very
surprised that I were the C.E.O. of this company.
“So… let me get this straight… you’re letting a
five-year old girl lead Pegasus’ company” I asked the nanny, it seemed that she
had all lot of power within the company.
“Yes, Mister Kaiba, Miss Crawford is the heir of
Industrial Illusions” she said.
“And I’m not five! I’m eight and a half!” the girl
said “And my name is Unicorn L Crawford!” She said proudly, well you could still
hear that she was an offspring of Pegasus, and not just by her name…
“So we’re just here getting introduced to each other?
Is there no other point on having this meeting?” I asked still pointed to the
nanny.
“Well there is one more thing Mister Kaiba” she said
and looked towards Unicorn “As you already know, Mister Crawford got murdered
on
and you were there on the island when it happened…” I rudely cut her off.
“Do you think I murdered him?” I asked.
“Well, you would have a motive to it…”
“I had my reasons to be on that island and I can
assure you, I was not there to murder him, I would done something more creative
like freeze his assets or alike” I said looking straight into the nanny’s eyes.
“And those reasons were?” she mocked.
I snickered at her, which made her raise her eyebrows
“What’s so funny Mister Kaiba?” she asked and crossed her arms.
“Oh, nothing Miss, I just got the feeling that you had
a lot of power and connections within Industrial Illusions, but it seems I was
wrong”
“What gave you that idea that I don’t have power?” she
mocked again.
“Because you don’t know why I was there. Do you know
kid?” I asked the brat, the nanny turned towards her as well.
“You don’t have to answer that Miss Crawford…” she
said and the brat nodded, still I don’t think Pegasus would tell her about the
abduction of my brother.
“Then if this meeting has nothing to do with Kaiba
Corp’s association with Industrial Illusion. Then I will declare this meeting
over. I wish you all a good day” I said and got out of my chair and out of the
room.
I could now only suspect that soon there would be cops
around the Kaiba mansion to investigate on Pegasus’ murder.
