Hypnotism in the Shadows
The Nightmare!
Welcome one and all to the 23rd chapter of this exciting story. Thanks to all
who are following this story and a special thank you to the reviewers. And now
it's time for Chapter 23 and a feature POV of Anzu.
Chapter 23: Hypnotism in the Shadows *Anzu's POV*
(Shadow Realm)
Hmm, what did Dream Clown want with Yami? And then he gave me the Rod and
Ring.
'Hey, Anzu. Let us go!' I hear Bakura say.
"Kura, you know you'rt got going anywhere. Keep it closed Ri, you're not going
anywhere either."
That set them in their place.
''Don't you ever call me Ri!''
"If you two had any sense, then you would be good little boys and behave!"
I waited for a smart ass remark from either of them, but they didn't say
anything. Hmmm..I wonder what could Dream Clown be talking to Yami
about? Yami sounds pretty surprised... Wait a minute! Could Dream Clown
have his own motive?
(Yugi's Bathroom) *Ryou's POV*
Hopefully, whoever that voice is, is not leading me wrong. For some weird reason,
I trust it. I know it. I love the voice. But whose voice is it? Who is the one that
calls me? Who is telling me these things.
"Ryou?" I hear someone break me from my thoughts.
I look besides me to see Malik, smiling at me.
"What's up?" He says to me.
"Nothing. I was just thinking about what I said earlier. I mean, there has to
be a way to get to where our other selves are."
"Maybe Yugi could concentrate really hard and from his memories, he could
somehow open a gate."
"Good idea Malik. Let's give it a try." I say turning around and looking at
Yugi.
"Um...what are you two up to?" Yugi asks me.
"We were thinking, since you still have all your memories, mayf yof you
could concentrate really hard, then maybe you could open a gate to that
Shadow Realm." Malik replies.
"I don't know guys. I'm so sleepy. I don't know if I have the mental
capability to perform such a task." Yugi says looking a little sad and very
sleepy.
"Try Yugi!" Jou says to him.
"Do it, cause the next time I see Yami, he's going to get it for possesing me!"
Seto replies.
"Come on little buddy! If Anzu is behind all of this, then I would love to pay
her back!" Honda says cracking his knuckles.
"No, don't hit Anzu. Hit that Dream Clown..." Otogi says caressing his lover's
hands.
Yugi loat mat me, then at Malik.
"Go for it." Malik and I say together.
He smiles then closes his eyes. Moments later, a weird aura emits from him. I
back away from him, not knowing what the hell is going on. Then Yugi starts
to change...into Yami?! I look to see that puzzle thingy hanging around his neck.
"Umm...Yugi?" Jou says nudging him a little.
Yugi...errr...Yami...or whoever he is, opens his eyes and looks around at us.
(Shadow Realm) *Anzu's POV*
Where did Yami go?
"WHERETHATTHAT DAMN PHAROAH?!" Dream Clown yells.
He looks like he's mad...and he's walking over here really angrily...OUCH!
He slapped me!
"Damn! What the hell was that for?!" I yell at him for his uncalled for
action.
"If it wasn't for you, then Pharoah would still be here!" He yells at me.
"So now is it my fault?!" I say to him.
"Yes..." he says calmly. "It is your fault...but maybe this isn't a bad thing
for me...I mean us."
What does he mean by me?!
"If Pharoah is now back in his hikari's body, then most likely they're going
to come back here for Marik and Bakura. And when all of them are here, we
can trap them forever in their nightmares!"
(Yugi's Bathroom) *Yami's POV*
Where am I?
"Yugi? Are you ok man?" I hear Jou ask me.
I look in his direction to see him snuggled close to K. Wa. Wait a minute...am I
home?
"I'm fine, but how did it get here?"
"It's that damned Pharoah." Kaiba says.
He must be annoyed by me integrating with him.
"Sorry about that Kaiba. At the time, you was the only way I could get through
to this world."
"No problem. But I will get you back for that."
Jou nudges Kaiba and looks at him angrily.
"And what do you mean by that Seto?" Jou says to him.
"Nothing...nothing." Kaiba says innocently.
"Yami? Is there any way you could open the gate to where our yami are?"
I turn around to see Ryou and Malik looking helplessly at me.
"Yes. It is now possible. But it really feels good to be out that puzzle and
back with my aibou."
"Where is Yugi?" I hear Honda ask.
"Our bodies are now one. He is resting. Thank you all for keeping him awake
for as long as you did. Now we really need to get going. To save Marik and
Bakura."
I close my eyes and concentrate on the Shadow Realm. I open the gate
and allow everyone to enter.
"Back so soon Yami?"
I turn around and see Anzu standing with the Rod and Ring.
"Give those back to us Anzu!" I yell at her.
"Nope. I have a special use for those..." she replies.
Someone walks behind her and she hands the two items to him.
"Who is that?" Otogi asks.
"That is Dream Clown. Little to Anzu's knowledge, he has his own agenda to
fulfill." I answer.
"Someone once said, 'A wise Pharoah is one who knows when to speak.' Wait...
I don't think anyone ever said that, but it's a great quote anyways. Maybe
you should follow it Pharoah."
"What do you want from us Dream Clown?" Kaiba yells to him.
"Pharoah knows just as well as I do, what I want. And you have it Seth!"
"What could I have that you want?" Kaiba asks.
Dream Clown holds up the Rod and Ring. His body begins to glow. Where the heck
is Jou?! Come on...he's after you!!
"Jou!" Kaiba yells as Jou walks towards Dream Clown.
He grabs Jou's hand and pull him back.
"Where are you going Jou?" Kaiba asks him.
"To my lover..." Jou replies in a stale tone.
I run to him and try to intercept the spell with my puzzle.
"Stay out of this Pharoah!" Dream Clown says as a power overcomes me and
throws me back.
"You don't deserve him! You are not his lover!" I yell to him.
"Jou? Remember back during Battle City when Malik had you under his control?
You overcame that! Now do the same right now!" Kaiba said as he continued to
pull Jou back towards him.
"Leave me alone Seth! Didn't I tell you before that you are not my lover?! Now
get away from me!" Jou yelled and pushed Kaiba back.
Kaiba sat there...and looked at him, just as the rest of us did.
"There's nothing you can do to us now!" Dream Clown yelled as he disappeared
with Anzu and Jou.
We walked over to Kaiba who was still in awe of what just happened. He stood
up and looked harshly at us.
"Where didy goy go Yami?"

'Hey, Anzu. Let us go!' I hear Bakura say.

(Shadow Realm) *Anzu's POV*
Where did Yami go?
"WHERETHATTHAT DAMN PHAROAH?!" Dream Clown yells.
He looks like he's mad...and he's walking over here really angrily...OUCH!
