High School

Yuugi stayed home that day. Jichan stayed with him in his room

to keep him company. That sat up against the bed post just

talking like two old best friends.

"Feels weird to be back." Yuugi said.

"What is like at Yami's, were you well taken care of?" Jichan asked.

"Truth." Yuugi looked at him. Jichan knodded. "Not exactly, but

Yami made sure I was safe... I miss him."

"It's only been one day."

"I know...."

"Tell me little more, be honest your a terrible liar." Jichan said.

"I won't lie to you, I drank beer but not alot...and I smoked just

once!" Yuugi flinched expecting to get a slap for doing those things.

"I don't want to tell you what to do but...don't ever do those things

again." Jichan sounded a little upset. "I don't want you fall into a

bad crowd.'

Jichan explained. At that point Yuugi dared not to tell his Jichan what

else he tried for the first time.

The next day he had to go to school. When he entered the building he

rehearsed in his mind what he would say to Yami.

"I love you but.....I want us to stay together, are we a couple?....Oh heck,

What do I say....I am madly in love with you Yami.......Woah did I say that

outloud...Couldn't have no one is starring at me...Where is he, I usaully meet

him by now....Oh man......" Yuugi's thoughts ceased when he walked smack into

Seto.

"HEY WATCH WERE YOUR GOING YOU PUNK!" Seto towered over Yuugi who fell on

his ass.

"Sorry!" Yuugi said then shuffled to his feet and ran off to hide in the boys bathroom.

Once there he found it odd that it was clear. "No smoke, they aren't here today..."

Jou walked in and suprized him. "EEEP! You scared me!" Yuugi said then noticed

a concerned look on his face. "What?" Yuugi asked.

"Where were you yesterday?" Jou asked.

"I was home." Yuugi said.

"You should of been with Yami..."

"I got grounded I had no choice." Yuugi justified.

"So what, take my advice and go see him before he does something crazy." Jou warned.

"What are you talking about?"

"He's been real depressed since you left." Jou sighed.

"Is he alright?" Yuugi felt a sharp jolt in his heart.

"No."

"I can't go see him now, I'm supposed to be in school."

"You can't live by the rules all the time kid, if you love him, you'll ditch and go to him right now."

"But...."

"Your not gonna go are you, boy are you selfish." Jou said.

"No I'm not it's just that...."

"It's your mother aint it?" Jou said. "Yami told me about your mother, your better off with Yami."

"I'm afraid of her..."

"What are you more afraid of: Your mom.....or losing your lover."

"Is he gonna commit suicide over me?!" Yuugi worried. "HE CAN'T, HE JUST CAN'T!" Yuugi couldn't take

anymore, he ran out of the boys room and down the hall not caring about who or what he crashed into.

He ran passed out the front door and far away from the school. On the way one thought echoed naggingly

in his mind. "GOT TO HURRY BEFORE...!" He found himself standing in front of the broken fence of Yami's

trashy house. The scraggly dog wagging it's tail and panting freindly greeted him by placing his paws on the

gate. The dog walked away when Yuugi opened the fence and climbed up the creeky steps slowy afraid to find

out what awaited inside. He pushed the door open slowy with his index finger and peered in. The kitchen was

still trashed from the day Yami and Aki grappled. Yuugi walked through the kitchen tapping the stray beer cans

with the toes of his shoes as he made his way to the parlor. no one was there. He saw that no one bothered to

pull the phone out of the tv nor pick up the coffee table and magazines. Yuugi turned to go upstairs hoping to

find Yami soon. He was at his bedroom door wich was shut tight. He was sure he'd be in there. He found the

courage to open it more concerned than scared. No one.......just another emty room. Yami's messy bed, cluttered

with emty beer cans ,emty cigarrette packs, and porno mag open faced down on his pillow. Yuugi sighed and walked

over to the bed. He batted the garbage of including the magazine and layed down to sleep. He was exausted and

sure Yami would return to this room soon. Awake or not he wanted to be there when he returned....Hoping more to be

awake. Sleep claimed him as he settled in his loves bed, wishing he was with him.

Later that afternoon......

"Hey..." A familair voice woke Yuugi from his dead-like sleep.

"Wha.." Yuugi's eyes could barely open until he rubbed them.

"Hey..." The voice said again as the person's face became clear.

"Yami, are you alright?" Yuugi quickly grabbed Yami around his neck. "Jou told me....I'm glad your alive..."

"What exactly did Jou tell you?"

"You were sad..."

"Oh.." Yami looked down at Yuugi who's eyes were filled with sorrow. "What is it?"

"Jou told me if I didn't come see you....you would of..."Yuugi burried his face into Yami.

"Forget about it, I'm sorry if I caused you any trouble."

"If my mom finds out I came back here she's gonna beat me." Yuugi cried almost in-understandable.

"I'll beat her ass if she touches you in front of me." Yami stood up making Yuugi stand up with him.

"Let's go Yuugi."

"Go where?" Yuugi asked.

"Anywhere, it doesn't matter." Yami smiled. "Jou saw how sad I was without you, i'm glad you ditched school." Yami smiled.

"So, what do you want to do?" Yuugi asked.

"I got a good Idea, all you have to do is follow me." Yami lead Yuugi outside.

"I have a bad feeling about this"

"SO what, let's have fun together." Yami smiled pointed at his motorclycle."

"Oh." Yuugi gulped.

"the conciquences don't scare me!" Yami smiled.

"Yeah well I have strict parntal figures in my house, i'm not popular in school, plus I'm a target in the street world."

"Stop thinking like your on the bottom of the food chain, after today I'm gonna make you forget everything." Yami said

sitting on the bike.

"Is that your philosiphy, cuz it doesn't make any sense." Yuugi got on the bitch seat.

"Repeat after me Screw the world."

"No." Yuugi said, Yami raised an eye brow at him. "Screw the world."

"That a boy, let's go." Yami said and sped off toward the horrizon.

Yuugi just wanted to know where they were going...........
