WIT - Part Three
Nazo no Kisu (Mysterious Kiss)
Welcome to Chapter 21, and the 3rd part of WIT. As we left off in 20, Atemu's back in town! But he says its
only for a few days... Could there be something else wrong? Oh yea, Yugi's going to win the tourney! But,
what's the thing Anzu wants to talk to Atemu about?
Chapter 21: WIT - Part Three
"Atemu..."
His hands hold my face...no not here. We're in the middle of the Tokyo Dome! He moves closer to me...here
it goes...
"Aibou? Is there something wrong?"
I feel his nose nuzzled against mine.
"Huh...no. Everything fine."
"I saw your Elite 8 and Final 4 duels. They were awesome, but your duel against Rafael is going to be
hard. He uses a guardian deck."
"Guardian Deck?"
"Hai. His monsters have an extremeity in attack and defense strenghts."
"So whenever he defends, it's a high defense and whenever he attacks..."
"...It's a high attack, right. I bought this card for you."
He hands me a card. I look at it. What card is this? I've never seen it before.
"Add it to your deck and win your title, Duel King. And in 3 years, I'll just have to take it away from you."
"Three? I thought it was 10."
"They're changing the format. WIT is going to be every 3 years instead of 10 and the previous WIT winner
must compete with the new WIT winner for Duel King/Queen."
"Duelists, please report to the officials table immediately."
"Well, I guess I have to go. I will see you after I win ok." I say winking at him.
"You better win. Don't forget to add that card along with Black Magician."
"Hey, how'd you know?" I ask as he turns me around and he walks away.
"Ganbatte, Aibou!" he yells.
I go to the officials table. An official looks at my deck and gives it the ok. I look to see my opponent, Rafael,
looking at his deck.
I walk to him.
"Hi." I say.
"Hello, Mr. Yugi."
"Oh no, just call me Yugi. I just came over to wish you luck in the duel. Your family and friends must be
proud!"
"Thanks. But I'm here alone. My family died in a boating accident and my friends are very far away, in
Russia."
"I'm sorry to hear that, but I bet the entire country of Russia is cheering for you!" I say smiling and extending
my hand.
He shakes it and smiles a little. "Thanks, Yugi. Good luck to you too."
We're introduced and we step up on the platform. The floor of the platform opens and Dartz rises up to the
arena. The crowd...yep deafening.
"Welcome all to the finals of the Duel Monsters Worldwide Invitational Tournament!"
The crowd gets even louder...what's the sound level in here? A million?!
"I am personally proud of our two finalists. First, is our number one seed, Mutou Yugi! He's battled his way
through using his Magicians Deck! His opponent is 60th ranked, Rafael Chekov! He's surprisingly torn
through the competition using his Guardian Deck!"
The crowd cheers both our names. I look towards the VIP area and I see Atemu sitting in the box with Kaiba...
no, that's Seth!
"Duelists, are you ready?"
We both nod.
"Duel Start!"
"Duel!" we both say then draw our 5 cards.
...
This has been an intense duel! We're both down to our last 100 life points! He's almost destroyed the keys
to my deck as I have done the same. I think we only have about 5 cards left...hopefully this next card I draw,
will be the one I need to win the duel.
"Boku no turn, draw!" I say drawing a card from my deck and looking at it.
It's the card Atemu gave me... 'Magician's Secret Power', Quick-Play Spell Card. 'This card can only be used
when Black Magician, Black Magician Girl, Magicians Valkyria, Black Robed Sage, or Magician of Black Chaos
is on the field. When activated, pay half of your life points. This card can destroy every monster and trap/magic
card from your opponent's side of the field. For every monster destroyed, deduct 1000 life points from your
opponent. This card can not be countered by any opponent's card.'
Wow, Atemu was right! This card is powerful! Luckily I have Magicians Valkyria on the field!
"I place one card face down and end my turn." I say placing 'Magician's Secret Power' on the field face down.
"This will be the last turn, Yugi. This has been a great duel. Draw!" Rafael says.
"Yes, Rafael, this is the last turn! Activate Spell Card, 'Magician's Secret Power'!"
He looks at me oddly as the card flips up.
"What does that do?" He asks as my life points drop to 50.
"When I have a Magician on the field such as my Magicians Valkyria, I can destroy every card on your side
of the field!"
"Not when I have this! Activate trap! 'Magic Jammer'!"
His card disappears.
"What?! What's going on?"
"This card can not be countered!" I say with a huge smile on my face. Ok, I'm about to become the King
of Duelists!! "For every monster that is destroyed, 1000 is deducted from your Life Points!"
I watch as his 'Guardian Aldos' and 'Guardian Grarl' are destroyed, and his life points drop to zero.
"Shorisha, Duel King, Mutou Yugi!!"
The crowd goes wild as Atemu and Seth run from their boxes and to me. I look at Rafael who's looking like
he lost his family all over again.
"Wait a second..." I say walking over to Rafael.
"I don't need your pity. I don't need your sympathy. As long as I have my deck to guard me, everything
will be all right."
Nice poem Rafael...
"Way to go Rafael! You are a great duelist!" I say to him.
He looks up at me. "Do you really mean that?"
"Yea. I really do! Now come on, you can celebrate with me!"
"Nah. I think I have some celebrating of my own to do." He says smiling. "Way to go, Duel King."
Before I could reach Atemu and Seth, I'm swarmed with media. Great. This is all I need... I'm so camera
shy!!
I'm swarmed by the media and duel fans for what seems like months...but actually it was only about 6 hours
of interviews, pictures, more interviews, and more pictures.
When all the attention dies down for the day...I know it's going to be even worse tomorrow...I leave and
go to the parking lot.
Empty...even okaa-san, otou-san, and jii-chan didn't even bother to wait on me.
"But I did."
I turn around to see Atemu and Seth.
"Hey, did you read his mind or something?!" Seth asks.
Atemu smiles.
"Come on, Aibou. I told your parents that you were going with me, and it was ok for them to leave."
"Arigatou. I can't believe you waited this long for me!"
"I told you earlier, I will wait forever for you."
"Aww, that's so sweet. Now come on let's go! I'm ready to go to Domino City!" Seth says.
We go to the lone car in the parking lot, Atemu mom's car. We all get in and take the drive back to
Domino City. Atemu decides to go to my house so everyone can meet Seth...but when he turned onto
Domino Avenue, the house was swarmed with media ready to get a glimpse and more interviews from
me, the 17 year old King of Duelists.
"I suggest we go to your place Atemu." I say.
"I would suggest the same." Seth says laughing.
Atemu passes by my house and I duck my head, luckily Atemu has his hair covered. About 10 minutes
later, Atemu pulls up into the garage. We get out and go in.
"Mom? Dad?" Atemu yells.
No answer. We go into the kitchen and on the fridge is a note, written in Arabic...
" 'Atemu, we're at the Mutou's for a visit. We will be back later!' " Reads Atemu.
We have the house to ourselves...but there's one little problem...Seth.

Omedetou Yugi! Awww, he won thanks to Atemu's card. I wonder if that card exists for real? I was making it
