Hello everybody! I would really appreciate if people did not
print out my stories, it kind of makes me nervous because I haven’t signed any
of my chapters or anything and I’m worried that others will take credit for my
work, I know I cant stop you but please do not print out my stories that don’t
have signatures, Thanx. Or if you do please don’t plagiarize my work.

Other than that I hope you like chapter 22 to “Father,
Mother, Lover” ENJOY!!!

 

It had been a year since the past events, and everything had
turned out fine for Ryou and Yugi. Yami and Bakura were never convicted or
accused about the passing of Ryou and Yugi’s father’s. Ryou’s anorexia was now
nonexistence, and Yugi and Ryou’s depression, memories, and nightmares had
become obsolete. Ryou smiled jumping into Bakura’s arms once he walked inside
his home coming back from work swinging his briefcase slightly.

“Welcome home!” He practically squeaked squeezing him
tightly as he did so.

“Hello to you too.” Bakura said kissing him softly on the
forehead as he set him back on the ground “Where’s Yami?” Bakura asked looking
around a bit.

“With Yugi of course.” Ryou said smiling a bit

“Quiet Ryou,” Yami said coming down the stairs

Bakura smiled laughing slightly “I don’t think I like your
intentions toward my son Yami.” Bakura said petting Ryou on the head

“I could say the same to you.” Yami countered tilting his
head slightly.

Bakura rolled his eyes at Yami as he walked upstairs.

“Where are you going now?” Yami asked curiously

“Just to check on Yugi making sure you haven’t hurt him yet.
And I also told him I’d help him with his science project tonight.” Bakura
stopped “Is he decent?” Bakura asked

Yami furthered his brow at Bakura “I can have a conversation
with Yugi without being physical with him you know.” Yami said

“Really? When did hell freeze over?” Bakura asked smirking

“Bakura I swear!” Yami stopped when Ryou spoke up

“Dad?” Ryou asked sweetly “I need help with my English
report, would you mind?” He asked allowing Bakura to escape Yami’s wrath.

Yami nodded at Ryou as they went into the living room
together.

 

“Yu Bak Bakura asked going into his room but not finding
him, Bakura shrugged and planted himself on the floor lying down on his back.
He was so happy, Yugi and Yami were together, and he and Ryou were now
together…everything had turned out so perfectly for everyone, nothing had gone
wrong for the entire year. He sighed deeply but something caught his eye
underneath Yugi’s bed so eh reached underneath it pulling it out finding it was
a tape. He looked at it noticing it didn’t have a label upon it; it also looked
old like it had been there for a year. He shrugged thinking nothing of it, but
he was curious of its contents and slipped into his briefcase deciding to watch
it later. Yugi walked in shortly after practically bouncing.

“You seem to be in a good mood today boy.” Bakura said
sitting upon his bed

“I’m always in a good mood!” Yugi said hugging him

“Liar, you were really mad at Yami yesterday for…” Bakura
began but Yugi covered his mouth quickly

“DAD!” Yugi practically growled, “You shouldn’t even know
about that!” Yugi said eyes a bit wide

“Pl, ev, everyone knows, Yami cant keep a secret if his life
depended on it.” Bakura said

“I’ll remember that…” Yugi said looking toward his door

“Okay lets get too work on your little project, but first I
bought you something to help out a little.” Bakura smiled

“Really?” Yugi said brightening a little

“Yeah come with me.” Bakura said picking him up

“Why do you always do that?” Yugi asked

“Do what?” Bakura asked walking down the stairs

“Pick me up? I am sixteen now you know and I can walk…you do
it to Ryou a lot too.” Yugi said smiling a little

“I like to carry you is all, Bakura said putting him down.”
And leading him into the living room.

Yugi’s face turned into a large smile “You bought me a
computer!” He practically beamed

“You like it?” Bakura asked

“Of course! I love it!” Yugi said jumping in Bakura’s arms

“Ryou helped us pick it out for you though.” Yami said
closing an English book

“I figured as much, you guys probably don’t even know what a
Pentium 4 processor is.” Yugi said smiling slightly

“Hey.” Yami said

“No offense.” Yugi said and jumped into Yami’s arms giving
him a small kiss “Are me and Ryou gonna share it?” Yugi asked

“No, they were supposed to deliver two but the other got
delayed but it should arrive tomorrow, you guys get separate ones.” Bakura said

“Cool!” Yugi said as he smiled brightly at Ryou who smiled
back.

 

“Goodnight Yugi.” Bakura said tucking him in

“Again dad I’m sixteen not six, you don’t see Yami tucking
in Ryou do you?” Yugi said

“All the time kid, now go to sleep you have school
tomorrow.” Bakura said Turing out his light and walking into his bedroom.

Yami followed him in, “How was work today?” He asked
planting himself on the couch.

“Fine I guess…what makes you ask?” Bakura said taking his
shoes off

“I was just curious I was thinking you should take some time
off like me, spend some more time with Ryou.” Yami suggested

“Listen I know what your saying but honestly I don’t want to
rush him into anything he’s not ready for Yami…with you and Yugi its different,
Ryou’s more fragile and you know that Yami.” Bakura said

“I also know the way he looks at you Bakura, it’s been a
year you know. It wouldn’t hurt to try and take things to the next level with
him…you he would never make the first move and I know he wants you to do it
anyway.” Yami said smiling at him

“I don’t want to scare him off Yami, if I lost him I…” Yami
stopped Bakura from saying anything else.

“He loves you Bakura, you wont scare him trust me.” Yami
said before leaving Bakura alone and going into his own room to sleep.

Bakura bit his lower lip and sighed slightly closing his
door “Maybe.” He said softly before slipping off into sleep.

Bakura got up early the next day having to go to work
earlier than usually as he grabbed his briefcase, got dressed, and went on his
way to work. He wasn’t to fond of his job, being a lawyer did really cut his
and Ryou’s time in half…maybe Yami was right he should take some time off to
get closer to Ryou. God knew he wanted to get closer to him and wanted him more
than life itself but he was so afraid of scaring him, after what he had been
through who wouldn’t be afraid of getting close to another. Bakura shrugged it
off as he went up to his office and took out some papers for a meeting he had
today with an old client and remembered the tape he had placed in his briefcase
earlier that day and took it out. He frowned and decided that now was as good a
time as any to see it as he placed it in the nearby tape player…but nothing
could have prepared him for what he saw.

 

 

And just when you thought everything was going to be okay!
Sorry I couldn’t resist and I know you think Yugi would of thrown it away but
by the time he finally got home in all he forgot and never really thought about
it and besides it doesn’t matter anymore now dose it? Anyway, I hope you like
it!
