“Hush, aibou…” Yami knelt before his lighter half taking his
hand in his and kissing it lightly as he lifted his head to meet his other
half’s eyes, which were full of tears. He then stood to his full height as he
lead him over to the bed and sat down, still holding Yugi’s hands in his as
they stared at one another for what seemed like an eternity. “Bakura reminded
me of something very important that I think we’ve both forgotten about over the
years…”

“The bond…” Yugi replied as Yami nodded.

Yami reached up and caressed Yugi’s cheek which was wet with
tears. “Don’t cry aibou…if anyone should be crying…it should be me for all the
pain I’ve caused everyone…especially you”

Yugi collapsed on Yami as they fell back on the bed
together.

Note : I’m sure most of you most likely didn’t even
notice that I did the duel between them like that for a reason; well for one, I
promised I wouldn’t do very much dueling in this story because that’s not the
focus of this story, but there is symbolism in it – some of the cards
that I used – to represent the past and present of the relationship between
Yugi and Yami.
