I had some questions about ages: Ryou&Yugi-15 and
Bakura&Yami-20, I know that their ages might be kind of far apart but hey
it they start going out its illegal anyway since they are (or are going to be)
parents so whatever. Anyway I’m also sorry that this update is so late I’ve
just been busy with other stuff but I hope you like chapter 21 to “Father,
Mother, Lover”

“You’ll look after them while I’m gone?” Bakura asked
quietly so not to wake Yugi or Ryou.
“Yes, just…be careful you and Yami need to watch your back.
Those two have had enough suffering without needing to add you to their pain.”
Marik said sternly knowing that both Yami and Bakura were a little more
interested in revenge than they should be. “You need to keep their best
interests in mind Bakura.” Marik said
“That’s all me and Yami have been doing…all of this is for
them.” Bakura said
“No good deed is selfless, you wouldn’t do it unless there
was something in it for you too, and all I am saying is don’t let it take over
what you are trying to accomplish for them, both of them love you two very much
and I don’t know how much more Ryou can take and if he snaps you know Yugi will
end up following shortly after.” Marik said looking at the two exhausted
sleeping boys.
Bakura motioned for them to go into the living room.
“What exactly do you have planned?” Marik asked with a sigh
“And why shouldn’t I come with you?” he looked at Bakura curiously
“Because neither me or Yami knows how all this will turn out
and if something should go wrong we want you to still take care of them…they
wont trust anyone willingly and you would be the first they look to for
comfort.” Bakura said sitting down
“That bad huh?” Marik paused “Will they die?” He asked
“Yes, even if I have to go down with them…they are an
infectious disease upon all mankind and I cannot allow them to hurt Ryou, Yugi,
or anyone ever again.” Bakura swallowed a growl that he feared would wake Ryou
and Yugi up and looked at Marik seriously.
“I can count on you right?” He asked
“Yes…and don’t worry about them, just come back as soon as
you can, I don’t want to be up all night worrying about you…nor do I want to
deal with Yugi and Ryou waking up to find you gone.” Marik said with a smile as
Bakura walked out the front door.
Yugi and Ryou stirred slightly in their sleep before waking
up and were worried finding Bakura not still with them.
“Bakura?” Yugi asked
“Morning boys.” Bakura said with a smile walking in and
giving them a hug “I made you two breakfast, don’t protest.” Bakura said to
Ryou specifically
“Great!” Yugi said happily while Ryou simply nodded his head
in agreement
“Good now you two get dressed and well go out later on
okay?” Yami said from the doorway.
Yugi smiled up at them while Ryou looked at them curiously
“What happened?” Ryou asked knowing the two were up to something or had been up
to something.
FLASHBACK
“So this is where they are staying?” Yami asked
“I don’t know about Yugi’s father I only got proof that
Yaten lives here…for now.” Bakura said walking up to the hotel building
casually with Yami not far behind.
“Remember you get Yaten and I get Boshi, that way we both
are equal in helping them all right?” Yami said looking at Bakura.
“Trust me I remember.” Bakura said as they knocked on the
door.
END FLASHBACK
“Bakura?” Ryou asked sweetly “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” Bakura answered picking Ryou up and hugging him
strongly. As he led the small boy out of the room and looked to Yami and Yugi.
“Come on little one,” Yami said putting Yugi down as well.
They mainly ate breakfast in silence Yami and Bakura were
grateful that the boys didn’t ask any questions although it was obvious that
they knew something had happened.
“You two seem to be in an exceptionality good mood today.” Yugi
said with a smile
“Where did you learn such a big word?” Yami asked a little
surprised
“Ryou.” Yugi shrugged
“Stop teaching him these big words before he chokes on one
Ryou.” Bakura said standing but was immediately tackled to the floor by an
irritated Yugi.
“Take it back!” Yugi said grabbing Bakura’s collar
“Honestly!” Ryou said shaking his head as the two wrestled
around
Yami rolled his eyes and pulled the two boys apart “I swear
Bakura, sometimes you act like you’re still fifteen!” Yami said sitting Yugi
down in a chair who glared at Bakura, or at least tried to.
“But we are in a good mood and you should be too, both of
you.” Yami said smiling
“Why is that?” Ryou asked tilting his head to the side
“Well for one, Yugi has just been adopted, you are now
officially Bakura’s son.” Yami said smiling at both of them.
“I have a new dad?” Yugi said looking at Bakura a bit
differently totally forgetting the insult and fight he just had with him.
“You can still call me Bakura if you want.” He said patting
Yugi on the head softly
“What about Yami though? Is he my dad too?” Yugi said
looking at Yami
“No,” Yami answered “I’m going to be Ryou’s dad…it wont be
long until your back at the orphanage and then well take you home and I’ll
adopt you as well.” Yami said with a smile.
Ryou blinked a few times trying to think, he wanted to know
what became of his father but he probably already knew the answer. He looked at
Yami and smiled at him broadly before Yugi hugged him and sent them both to the
ground. Yami just shook his head at the two, Yugi in particular as he sighed
looking at Bakura who winked at him.
FLASHBACK
Bakura was a bit more brutal with Yaten than Yami would of
cared to be with anyone but Bakura was always more vicious than Yami had ever
been. Yami cringed slightly at what Bakura was doing to the man, but he
deserved everything Bakura had planned. The man either died of fell unconscious
when Bakura had finally finished with him. Bakura smiled satisfied with his
work. The mans body was practically mutilated and covered in blood; Bakura’s
hands were covered in blood as well. He went into the kitchen and quickly
cleaned himself off.
“Don’t you think you went a little overboard?” Yami asked
“No…” Bakura said looking to his side.
Boshi lay slumped against the refrigerator, and Bakura and
Yami both knew he was dead the knife embedded in his chest was proof enough for
anyone.
“Do you?” Bakura asked looking at Yami seriously
“No, they got what they deserved.” Yami said placing a case
of videotapes on the table that they stole from Yaten’s and Boshi’s house
before they burned it down. “This should give the police enough reason not to
try and find the killers.” Yami said
Bakura snorted, “Should they find any incriminating evidence
at all.”
“Indeed.” Yami said with a smile as they left the hotel and
made their way back to Marik and Malik’s place.
END FLASHBACK
“How soon?” Ryou asked looking at Yami
“Nani?” Yami asked
“How long do I have to wait until I can call you dad?” Ryou
asked with a smile
Just so there are no mix ups the fathers are dead and I am
in no way implying that you can get away with murder cause you usually cant,
