You Are What You Eat

~Time of day, Number of days obsessed with Kaiba, Attempts at winning Kaiba’s heart~

‘I have decided after many weeks of watchful consideration that I’m going to take upon myself the task to get Seto Kaiba to eat sweet things. Starting today, and everyday from now on, I will be packing something sweet in my lunch for Kaiba in hopes.’

~Before school Day 23 Attempt 1~

‘I see Seto, I’ve decided I’m allowed to call him Seto in my head, sitting already at his desk when I get there 15 minutes before. I had anticipated this, that’s why I brought him breakfast. Ok, here goes nothing’

“Hey Kaiba…I know how your always at school early so I brought you some cookies to eat with your tea”, ‘Okay maybe not quite as eloquent as I’d hoped for it to come it’. Kaiba’s eyes get colder and narrower, he doesn’t look up however just continues to stare at his laptop. ‘Do I back off or press forward. I’m going to take my chances on this one’. “Kaiba, did you hear me or are you just being rude?” Kaiba looks very pissed off by the second interruption and quickly stands from his chair. “Who the fuck do you think you are? Are you my mother because I’m positive your not. You insignificant mutt, why don’t you go bother your friends. I don’t have time for you nonsense” Kaiba roared angrily. He sat back down at his seat but not before giving one more of his trademark ice glares accompanied by his sneer. ‘Okay so this didn’t go so well for me today. I’ll give the cookies to Yugi, I know he’ll enjoy them. Hmmm maybe when I give Yug the cookies I’ll talk to him about my situation. He’ll be able to come up with a few ideas of how to win Kaiba over’.

~Lunch time Day 25 Attempt 2~

‘Okay so the day before yesterday didn’t go so well, but I did give him yesterday to cool off so maybe today he’ll be slightly more susceptible to my attempts’.

Jou walks out in the courtyard where some, most of the social outcasts, eat. He spots Kaiba sitting in his usual place under the big willow tree. ‘Okay now is the time to approach him. You can do this Jou, you know you can do this’. “Hey Kaiba” Jou said as he strolled over to the tree Kaiba was shaded by. “Not you again mutt. Did you not comprehend what I said to you the other day? What do you want?” Kaiba seethed. Jou decided to pull up all his courage and sat down next to the stoic brunette. “Well, lets see what I have here for you. I figured you must get sick of the sweet and sour chicken and noodles so today I brought for you some sweet Korean style barbeque with brown rice.” Jou stated feeling very pleased with himself. ‘I’m so glad my dad prepared so much of the Korean style barbeque last weekend and froze it. I’ll I had to do was unthaw it and cook it and prepare the brown rice. Yum I cant wait to start eating’. “Get away from me you filthy animal. I don’t want your food and for your information I’m very happy with my chicken and noodles thanks” Kaiba declared angrily. Jou got up from the grass and walked out of the shade. He took one look back at the cold-hearted teen sitting there before walking back inside.
‘Geez I go through all that trouble just to be so rudely shot down. What a jerk. Oh well I’ll just have to try again in a few days’
