He's Not My Hero, That's Shining Flare Wingman

Welcome to Chapter 2! I've been working really hard on this story, and already finished chapters 2 and am working on the last bit of chapter three. It seems as though this is going to be a nice long one, because I haven't even really got them together yet, so... ^^; Guess the anticipation will be a killer. Hehe. Enjoy!

~~~~ He's Not My Hero, That's Shining Flare Wingman ~~~~~~~
The next morning the boy was ridiculously tired. He could barley keep his eyes open as he sat quietly in his class. His arms will still crossed over his chest, and he wore his glare the best he could, but it just wasn’t working. Sleep wanted to take over, the soothing darkness that started to encompass him was welcoming. The darkness was around him again, and the ticking was back. Not the ticking, was it the clock? He opened his eyes, the classroom was empty. The ticking was getting louder. He looked at the clock that sat above the desk. He watched it for a moment, the hands didn’t move. He frowned, so where was the sound coming from? He stood, again, his body feeling heavy, and this it’s self made Chazz start to panic.
He turned and headed up the stairs, towards the exit of the classroom, he felt like he was moving so slow. He hadn’t realized he was that tired. Exiting the room Chazz heard a familiar voice.
“Who is a slacker now?” Teased the voice, Chazz shivered unconsciously looking around for the keeper of the teasing voice. He didn’t know why, but the voice was bringing him pain. Deep down, it was like he wanted to scream that he was better than that, but again, his voice didn’t work.
“You’ll never be good enough,” the voice continued, the teasing tone never leaving. He screamed in his head for Jaden to shut up, that the Slifer didn’t know anything about him, but the teasing didn’t stop. He clutched at himself, as he ran slowly through the halls of the Duel Academy’s main building. The taunting voice calling from behind chants of worthlessness. Chazz pushed the doors open and ran out into the sun, it was so bright, almost blinding, he couldn’t see, but he continued to run, as quickly as he could, though quick wasn’t the word for it. He was going at a snails pace, never getting far enough away for the voice to stop.
The trembling had started back up. He was beginning to panic more now. He looked around, but still couldn’t see anything in the brightness, and there, ahead of him was the keeper of the voice. Jaden stood, standing out with the red uniform in the sunlight.
“Worthless,” He laughed, pointing. There wasn’t any kindness on his face, only hate.
Chazz stared, trying again to find his own voice to call out, to talk back, to do anything that might make the pain in his chest stop. Next to him, standing tall, Chazz could see what was causing such a glare. There, just waiting to attack was Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman. Chazz gasped, and let out a mangled scream, finally getting his voice back. He realized that this was it. The monster was going to attack, and this wasn’t a duel. He didn’t have anything to protect him. No traps, spell cards, or monsters. There was nothing to stand between him and the force that Jaden’s E-hero could bring.
The laughing had started again, the harsh laughter that caused another short scream. Then Chazz watched as Jaden raised his arm, and sneered.
“Elemental Shining Flare Wingman, attack!”
Chazz let out another scream and turned to run, but he could feel it behind him, and as slow as he was going, he knew he couldn’t get far. Then the attack connected and searing pain shot up Chazz’s back as he fell with a painful scream.
The pain that he felt in his spine caused the boy to awake from the dream, screams protruding from his throat as his eyes shot open. Classmates turned their heads towards Chazz and stared in startled fear and shock. Jaden and the other’s had stood automatically going to the boy. Jaden had gotten there first, trying to shake Chazz out of the screaming fit.
Though it didn’t help the trembling, the screams slowly died down, being reduced to choked sobs. He stared at the desk, not wanting to the look the other Slifer in the eyes. The professor dismissed the class, and watched as the others from their group gathered around the scared, trembling boy.
Chazz finally calmed himself, and when he was sure there wasn’t a scream lurking in his throat he turned his eyes up to the group. Once again, he felt the overwhelming urge to tell them all to go sod off, but he didn’t.
“Chazz, what’s all this about?” Alexis asked, “Did you have another nightmare?” She was kneeling next to him, and everyone else was quiet.
“I just didn’t sleep well last night, that’s all.” He said and added a huff to the end, to try and sound convincing, yet it didn’t seem like anyone bought it.
Bastion frowned, and he began his questioning, “When did the dreams start? Have you changed what you were eating lately? Late night horror movie marathons? Too much dueling?” He questioned in his intelligent tone.
Chazz just shook his head, “I just didn’t sleep well, that’s all.” He ground out behind his teeth, which finally seemed to work, as the other’s backed off.
