Right_read_Time: ^-^ I have a lot of the story planned out on my head. It’s just trying to find the time to write it all down before I forget~ And I won’t forget my other fanfic~ I’m not going to make the mistake again and have five fanfics going at once. Two right now is going to be my limit. Only because THIS idea won’t leave me alone! ^-^

Chapter 1

Ryou laughed as he ran up the plank boarding the ship. Yugi and Malik not far behind him. Ryou couldn’t believe that they had won a trip on a brand new cruse ship. A once in a life time chance for the three of them, since none of them had much money to begin with, ever being able to go on a three week vacation was simply out of the question. But here they were, on the most expensive cruise ships ever built ready to set sail.

Ryou smiled as he grabbed onto the railing looking over the front. Malik smiled as he came up behind Ryou and stepped up on the railing so he could see over the silver haired boy’s head. This made Yugi laugh.

“You two look like you belong in Titanic!” Yugi said laughing more. Malik blinked looking back at his shorter friend and grinned. “Well, I know I would have plaid a WAY better Jack.” He said and looked down at Ryou as if studying him for a moment. “And I think Ryou could play a much better Rose.” He said and was satisfied when he saw Ryou turn bright red. Malik and Yugi burst out laughing which only caused Ryou to blush even more.

“Well, it’s true! You make a better girl then most girls do!” Malik pointed out.

“Shut up Isthar. You could look like a girl just as easily as I can.” Ryou said with a huff. Malik just smiled back at him and leaned down kissing the top of Ryou’s head. Ryou turned away from him crossing his arms over his chest.

“Aww, don’t be mad.” Malik said nuzzling him.

“Yeah.” You said as he watched Malik and Ryou. “It’s a waste to get irritated now when you still have to put up with Malik for another three weeks.” Yugi pointed out. Ryou looked around at Yugi.

“Why did I agree to come on this trip?” He asked and yelped when Malik wrapped his arms around him.

“Because you couldn’t bare being without your two best friends for three whole weeks.” He said and Ryou yelped suddenly pushing Malik away.

“I think I could survive three weeks without you trying to grope my ass every five seconds.” Ryou said but didn’t look angry. It was a game for the three of them. They had grown up together and were closer then brothers. Ryou and Yugi knew that there wasn’t really anything behind Malik’s flirting. Malik had stated this many times. The only reason he tried anything with his two friends is because he knew he could get away with it. That and the fact that it was far to easy to make Ryou and Yugi blush.

“You’d miss it and you know it.” Malik said with a wink and Ryou just laughed shoving him away lightly.

“Maybe. Maybe.” He said. The horn blew and Ryou looked up smiling when he could see the captain standing on the bridge ready to set sail. He turned back and watched as the ship started pulling away from the dock. Malik and Yugi standing next to him. Yugi looked like he was about to jump right out of his skin with excitement. Once they were safely out at sea Malik turned.

“Come on, let’s go explore the ship!” He said. Ryou and Yugi nodded turning to follow their friend. When they noticed a crew member standing in front of them. He saluted them and smiled.

“On behalf of the captain I welcome you to the Tisha.” He said lowering his hand. “Captain’s orders I am to escort you three on a tour of the ship.’ He said and smiled when the three boys looked extremely exited about this. The crew member smiled. “My name is Kenji by the way, now, if you’ll follow me I’ll show you around.” He turned. Yugi, Ryou and Malik all looked at each other before hurrying after Kenji.

“You are our special guests.” Kenji said as he started the tour. “So you have pretty much free rein over the whole ship. And you are the only guests that will be allowed onto the bridge when the captain is up there.” Kenji brought them along the upper deck of the ship showing them the way they could get up to the bridge, and where the captain’s cabin was located. He pointed out the main pool on the upper deck for all guests to use, before he brought them below to the privet pool reserved for special guests.

“WOW!” Yugi said excitedly. One thing Yugi had always hated about swimming in public pools was the fact that there were always too many people and not enough room to swim.

“You know what this means don’t you?” Malik asked. Ryou and Yugi looked at him with looks of confusion. “Skinny-dipping!” Malik said grinning. Ryou blinked and shook his head.

“Malik, you are impossible you know that?” He said but smiled anyway.

“What? No one will be around to see except you two.” Malik pointed out as they left the pool to continue the tour. It most of the morning to tour half the ship.

“We can continue the tour after lunch with the captain, or you three can explore on you own.” Kenji said as he led them up to the captain’s cabin. Kenji knocked on the door before entering.

“The three contest winners sir.” He said saluting.

“Thank you Kenji, that will be all.” The captain said and watched Kenji leave. Ryou looked around the cabin admiring how it was decorated with all the finest things a ship could have.

“Please, sit. Lunch should be brought up here shortly. I hope stake is to your liking.” The captain said smiling.

“Stake is fine by me.” Malik said sitting down in the comfiest chair he could find. Yugi smiled and went over looking out the window. Not that there was much to see except water. Ryou walked over and sat next to Malik.

“When we won those tickets I never dreamed the prize would be something like this.” Ryou admitted. The captain chuckled.

“Not many people would.” he said. “Win a trip on a grand ship sure. But being treated like royalty while aboard the ship is an entirely different story. After all, this is a once in a life time experience.”

“You can say that again” Malik said grinning. “There’s no way any of us would ever be able to afford coming on a ship like this for even a single day, let alone three weeks.”

“I myself am lucky that I got this job.” The captain said. The three boys sat and listened to the captain talk telling them stories of other ships he’d sailed. How he’d survived terrible storms. And how this ship was the finest he’d ever seen and had faith that it would survive anything the sea could throw at them. They continued to talk through lunch until the Captain had to go back to the bridge. The three boys decided to retire to their room for a bit of rest and the Captain laughed.

“I think that is a good idea. Don’t want to ware yourselves out with excitement on the first day.” With that the Captain went back to work and the three boys headed to their cabin fit for a king for a late after noon nap.

Malik woke some time in the middle of the night. At least, he figured it was some time in the middle of the night, because everything was dark. He rolled over on his bed sighing contently. It was the most comfiest bed he’d ever laid in, and the blankets were warm and heavenly against his skin. But despite being extremely comfortable, Malik couldn’t get back to sleep. So he decided to go for a stroll out on deck.

He headed to the front of the ship and blinked when he saw someone familiar standing there, silvery white hair tied back to keep it from blowing in his face. “Couldn’t sleep either?” Malik asked as he came up behind Ryou. Ryou glanced behind him at Malik smiling and shaking his head before looking back out at the dark water.

“You look like something is on your mind.” Malik said leaning on the railing looking out over the water as well.

“No, not really. I just find it strange.” Ryou said resting his chin in his hands. “Why did we win this trip? I mean, I’ve never won a single thing in my life. And now suddenly I’m on a beautiful ship sailing towards a tropical island leaving the whole world behind for three whole weeks.” Malik chuckled.

“I’ve never won anything before either. And I don’t think Yugi has, unless you count games. But I don’t think it’s that strange.” Malik said looking up at the sky. “I think the gods are finally smiling down on us. And we should make the best of this vacation.”

“yeah, because we’ll never be able to afford another one like this as long a we live.” Ryou said giggling. Malik grinned at him.

“You can say that again.” He suddenly gasped and pointed up. “Look! A shooting star!” Ryou looked up quickly and smiled closing his eyes. When he opened them again he found Malik grinning at him.

“…what?” Ryou asked blinking.

“What did you wish for?” Malik asked and Ryou blushed looking away.

“That is none of your business.” He said but was smiling.

“Aww, I’ll tell you my wish~” Malik said wrapping his arms around Ryou’s waist. Ryou leaned back against his friend smiling.

“Maybe I’ll tell you if it comes true.”

“But I wanna know now~” He said whining slightly. Ryou shook his head.

“Now you sound like Yugi.” Ryou blinked when Malik suddenly let him go and was grinning evilly at him.

“Oh, I’m SO ganna tell him you said that!” Malik said and took off running. It took a few moments for Ryou to realize that Malik was no longer standing next to him.

“What? Malik!” Ryou yelped running after his friend. “Don’t tell him that! If you do I’ll just deny it!” Ryou ran down the steps chasing his friend all the way across to the other side of the deck. He finally caught Malik by the pool.

“Tell me your wish and I won’t tell Yugi.” Malik said looking at Ryou who pouted.

“I’m not going to tell you my wish.” Ryou said stubbornly. Malik shrugged.

“Oh well~” He said and without warning he wrapped his arms tightly around Ryou and fell sideways into the pool with a loud splash. Malik didn’t really care if he got wet, he only slept in boxers anyway. Ryou however had been warring his PJ’s. The silver haired boy swam to the surface his hair plastered in his face. Malik surfaced laughing and Ryou glared at him through his wet hair.

“Ryou you look like a drown rat.” Malik said watching Ryou swim to the edge of the pool and pull himself out his close soaking wet.

“That was SO not funny.” Ryou said taking off his shirt and ringing it out as best he could. Marik perked up a bit.

“Oh, ganna wring out your pants too?” He asked pulling himself up next to Ryou. Ryou blinked at him putting his hand on Malik’s face he pushed Malik backwards back into the pool By the time Malik got back out of the pool Ryou was already heading back downstairs. Malik smiled and followed him.

They got back to the room and did their best to keep quiet. But it was hard when there were no lights on and Malik kept walking either into Ryou, or an inanimate object.

“Ow shit!” Malik cursed as he stubbed his toe. The light turned on.

“…Ryou? Malik?” Yugi asked sitting up rubbing his eyes. He was dressed in an over sized T-shirt that Ryou had lent him because Yugi refused to sleep in his boxers, and had forgotten his PJ’s. Malik would have lent Yugi a shirt but most of his shirt hardly covered any skin at all.

“Uh…why are you two all wet?” Yugi asked blinking at Ryou and Malik.

“Malik is clumsy and fell into the pool and decided to drag me down with him.” Ryou said as he changed his clothes. Malik shrugged.

“What can I say, I wanted to see if you’d be good at a wet t-shirt contest.” Malik found a pillow in his face after that comment. After dressing Ryou dried his hair and pulled it back in a pony tail.

“Let’s get some sleep.” Ryou said as he climbed into his bed. Malik quickly changed his boxers and bounced onto Ryou’s bed. Ryou kicked him in the backside sending him onto the floor. “Go sleep with Yugi.” He said and Malik pouted but climbed into his own bed.

“Good night.” He said. Yugi turned out the light and Ryou rolled over going to sleep. Yugi fell back asleep almost instantly. But Malik still couldn’t sleep. He kept getting this nagging feeling that something was going to happen on this vacation. Something big that would change their lives forever. Malik didn’t like this feeling. Last time he’d gotten this feeling his sister had moved back to Egypt or almost a year. Malik had just been lucky that Yugi’s grandfather had offered to let him live there for the year.

Malik didn’t know how long he lay awake thinking about this. But eventually sleep over took him and he drifted into an uneasy sleep.

Okay, this chapter isn’t as long as I was hoping for. It’s just barely five pages long. I’m hoping to make later chapters a bit longer. But for now, this will do~ enjoy!
