Experimentation

"That's what happened till you found me. Aki, what's going to happen to me?" Deep sadness was clear in those eyes floating in a jar. "Oh and thank you for giving me a voice." He sounded very sad.

Aki rubbed the side of the jar. "You're welcome Seto. I'm not sure what's going to happen to you Seto. Sieg won't give you your body back." She then hugged the jar tight. "I'm sorry about what happened to you. I'll try and keep you safe." Tears softly flowed from her eyes.

"Thank you Aki. I've got a question though. Why do you look like me?" It had been bugging him since he first saw her.

She held him out and looked at him. "Well Sieg created me in your image, but something went wrong and I ended up a woman. So now I live here doing all the work." She smiled a bit and set him on her nightstand. "If you do ever get your life back will you take me with you?"

Seto stared at her for a moment. "For what you are doing for me I will. My mind is exhausted. I don't know how I'll sleep. What if he finds me in here?" He looked so broken in there.

Aki watched him knowing how depressed and detached he must feel. She really wished she could do something for him. "Seto, should we contact your brother? Let him know what happened?"

Seto looked up at her. "Mokuba... I'd like to, but I'm not sure if that would be wise. I mean Siegfried has my body and for all we know Mokuba could be with them." He sighed heavily. "I just really wish I had a body."

Aki's eyes then went wide. "There is a body in the lab. It doesn't have a mind or anything. It's just on life support. I could put you in that body." She picked Seto up and headed out of the room. She practically skipped out of the room and down the stairs. "I've been reading Sieg's notes and I am very good at doing it to animals."

Seto looked at her a little worried. "Have you ever done it to a human?" He didn't mind the bouncing from her skipping.

She stopped at the door. "Nope, but I am very confident in my abilities." She said proudly as she walked down the steps into the lab. She carried him to the very back were a tank was. Inside the tank was the body of a guy wearing only black boxer shorts.

The body appeared to be Seto's age, but it looked nothing like him. He was peach skinned, around Seto's height, and had long red hair. "Aki, I believe in you. Please let me use that body." He really wanted to be able to feel again. Breath once more. He wanted to be alive.

She nodded. "I will Seto. You have all rights to it. No one should just be their mind floating in a jar." The tank was laying parallel to the floor. She pressed a few buttons and the water drained from it. She opened the top and got to work.

Seto watched her open the body's head. It was gross to see the inside of an empty skull. The only thing Seto hoped for right then was that this wasn't going to be his permanent body for the rest of his life. He stayed quiet as she prepared the body for him.

She looked at Seto. "It's ready Seto. This will hurt though so prepare yourself as I connect the nerves." She pulled him up out of the jar. Very gently did she place Seto's brain into the body. She slipped his eyes into place and then lowered the rest of his brain into place. She began to connect the nerves to the base of the brain. She watched the body twitch as each nerve made contact. "It must be very painful for you. Just hold in there Seto, I'm almost done." She connected the last few nerves and the whole body arched it's back and screamed in pain.

The pain was unbearable for him. He felt jolts every time a nerve became active. He was grateful though, the pain was only going to last a short time and he'd have a body to move around in again. His mouth opened in a silent scream of pain. Then his eyes shot open. Then a loud scream came from his throat as he gained full control over the body.

Aki held his head down as she reattached the top of his skull. "It's going to be okay Seto. The pain will subside soon. Just try and stay calm." She finished and let him go. She placed bandages around the top of his head where the stitches were.

Seto blinked a few times and then sat up. He moved his mouth a bit as he looked at his hands. He moved his fingers as he got a feel for this body. "Aki, thank you." He rubbed his throat. "This isn't my voice, is it?" He looked at her.

Aki simply shook her head. "No, you'll have to get use to it. You'll be okay in there right?" She looked very concerned.

He smiled softly. "Aki you did a great job. Everything seems to be working the way it should. We should get out of here before he comes home." He then stood. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "It feels good to breath again. To be able to move again."

Aki giggled happily. "Seto you'll need clothes before we can go anywhere." She took his hand and lead him from the lab. "You can wear some of Sieg's clothes."

Seto blinked a little confused as he allowed her to take him to Siegfried's room. "That's a good point. We are stealing one of his cars too." When they entered he looked around and went to the closet. He pulled out a button down dress shirt and got a pair of jeans. He quickly threw them on and pulled on a pair of socks and black dress shoes. "Okay, where are his keys?"

Aki watched him and then started to leave the room. "Next to the front door. He'll be home very soon." She hurried downstairs and to the door. She stopped by the window and looked out. "Oh god he's home. Seto what are we going to do?" She looked around but didn't see him. "Seto?!" She was then picked up from behind. She squeaked and looked at who grabbed her. She clinged to Seto. "Don't let him hurt me."

He held her tight as he hurried to the back of the house. "I won't Aki, just try and stay quiet." He went looking for the back door.

Siegfried and Seto's body walked into the house. "Aki, Seth and I are back." He looked around. "Aki? Hmm... That's weird. Normally she comes right to me when I get home." He was getting suspicious. He started walking further into the house. "Aki?"

Seto set her down. "Don't let him know anything about me." He stood against the wall down a hallway.

Aki walked into Siegfried's view. "I'm sorry Sieg. I was in the bathroom." Bows to him. "Welcome home Sieg." She went and hugged him.

Seth looked around not feeling right about something. "So Aki, what have you been up to?" He didn't look at her, but around the room.

Aki smiled at him. "The usual. Straighting up and keeping this place in order. Why do you ask?" She blinked at them confused. "Did I forget to do something again? Oh I'm such a scatter brain."

Siegfried tilted his head and looked at her. "Have you been in my lab again?" He held her chin in his hand and made her look at him.

Seth walked around the room. He felt like something was there. "You went to him, didn't you?" He glared at Aki.

Seto wanted to do something to help her, but that could doom him. He couldn't risk both of their lives. He stood in the shadows and glared at the floor.

Aki looked frightened suddenly. "What?! No! You told me not to Sieg. You know I wouldn't disobey you." She looked at the floor, her brown hair hiding her face.

Siegfried smacked her. "You're lying! What did you do with him? Tell me!" He smacks her again. He pulled at her hair and made her look at him.
