Chapter 2
Jounochi was glad that school was over; he didn’t care too much for it. He wasn’t really smart like all his friends but he wasn’t stupid either. The tedium of the classes always put him to sleep. Whenever this happened he always got some sort of detention. The worst part was his secret crush would always smirk at him like he got some perverse pleasure out of seeing him get into trouble. Today was the worst trouble he had gotten into. Not because of himself but from someone he tolerated because Yugi his best friend and his best buddy liked him. Yugi felt the guy needed friends and his best buddy since before he met Yugi had his own secret crush on him. Otogi Ryugi was a royal pain in the ass.
The reason why Jou didn’t care for him was because of a certain dog suit and he was constantly chasing his own secret love. He hated the guy. The reason he was in trouble this day was he made a statement concerning him and a certain canine persuasion. In front of the whole school including his secret crush; he decked him, laid him out cold. “I’m not a fucking dog and I’m sure as hell not a bitch.” He had told him. It took Honda and Yugi to pull him off of him.
Jou laughed to himself ‘It was worth a month of detentions to put that ass hole in his place’. As Jou approached his locker he saw something sticking out of it. He looked at the Red Rose and letter that was attached to it. As he looked at the Rose closer he noticed it wasn’t real but it sure looked real. It was an Origami Rose made out of very delicate rice paper. It was beautiful. The red of the petals, the dark green stem, and the light green leaves wove together to form one single Red Rose.
The Rose was beautiful; as he looked at it he didn’t notice a pair of deep blue eyes watching him. As Jou turned to read the letter he realized it was a poem, but he couldn’t believe what he was reading. It was the most beautiful and wonderful poem he had ever read.

Your Secret Admirer
When he got to the end of the poem he wondered who his secret admirer was. He had to figure this out. He looked around to see if anyone could help him but he didn’t see anyone. He carefully put the poem and the rose in his back pack and headed home with a smile on his face that could light up the darkest of rooms and hearts.
Seto watched him leave and smiled, he now had to figure out what to get him next. The rose had been the perfect calling card, as the red rose symbolized true love, and this was indeed what he felt for Jou. This was going to be fun. Not only for him but he hoped for Jou as well. He really did love him. What Otogi did to him today was uncalled for and he couldn’t help but smirk at how his puppy handled the situation even if it did get him into trouble. Even though he had wanted to defend his puppy he knew better. Jou would not have appreciated it and Seto himself needed someone who could stand up to him. Not let him walk all over them. And Jou was indeed such a person. It was one of the reasons he had fallen in love with him. Next time Otogi should know better than to mess with his puppy; he’s got a terrible bite; with that thought Seto turned and walked away smirking.
