Atemu's little problem
Hello again, and thanx for reading. Last time I forgot to thank my beta reader, LightandDarkness (geez, I hope I spelled that right, I’m so tired) Anyways, while everyone else is watching that short purple little freak called Prince on the superbowl, I’m up in the computer room doing this. My other option is to mentally strangle the little freak! I still cannot believe that he made a sex song with my name on it. Thanx jackass! Sorry, enough grouching for now, here’s the next chapter.
“blah” = talking
‘blah’ = thinking
That was two years ago. Atemu leaned against the window at the end of one of the many corridors in the four story palace. He supposed that he should go down to the banquet hall for some food. The ceremony had run over by two hours. And he really was hungry.
Blinking back his thoughts of the past, the prince figured that before he went anywhere public, he ought to change into normal clothing. His exotic looks, combined with his ceremonial dress, attracted far too many leers for his peace of mind. His current attire consisting of his winged crown, golden choker, wide gold neck plate, various decorative arm, wrist, and ankle bands, along with the Millennium Puzzle his father gave him, and only a gauze-like, thigh length, white kilt with a flap of his family’s color (royal purple) to cover him.
The prince shook his head. As if he needed more people to look at him like a piece of meat. The title was enough, thank you. It was said that all royalty and priests dressed like this for thousands of years. That didn’t mean that he had to like it.
If he was honest with himself, he really wouldn’t have cared about the outfit if he was still betrothed. That, and if the council wouldn’t have enacted that rape law in his name. That really bothered him. Since he was so young when his father died, the council ruled for him. His council was made up of his father’s brother, chief advisor, and various other priests and nobles. Nine council members in all. And the thing they did best was to make his life miserable. They did a good job at it.
He shuddered. Had anyone bothered to ask him, he would have told them that the rape law caused more problems than it solved. It was supposed to protect offspring born of a forced union by bonding the parties involved. Even if one of them was protesting. Atemu had a feeling that the councilors who approved the law where coerced by the one who proposed the law.
But what he knew mattered little until he was of eighteen summers old. Then he would be coroneted, and allowed to rule the kingdom himself with only guidance from the council. For now, though, he was just a figurehead. Absolutely useless.
The only thing that stopped the more unscrupulous Aemohans from forcing the underage into bonding was the law that Siamun, his chief advisor, created and the council voted in. It stated clearly that any Aemohan caught trying to mate with one under eighteen summers of age, would be subject to public whipping. That was just like Siamun, trying to help and succeeding, yet pissing off a whole lot of his friends.
Atemu took one last look out the window, and sighed, before pushing off of the elegantly paneled wall.
‘I’d better move now, or Jou will have eaten all the food in the dining hall. Not to mention that Seto will be worried if I don’t make an appearance soon. Overprotective cousins!’ He thought to himself.
“Hello, your highness. Shall we continue our little game?”
Atemu found himself dragged from the safety of the corridor into the nearest room and thrown against the wall, hard. He could do nothing but glare at his attacker as he felt magical bonds tighten around his wrists and ankles, holding him tight to the wall. A simple spell had robbed him of his speech so he couldn’t perform any spells of his own. He had yet to finish his training in magic and summoning, so he couldn’t conjure without reciting the spells out loud. A fact that his attacker was very much aware of.
‘Oh gods, no’ was the only thing he could think as he felt the bonds tighten painfully and push him to a kneeling position.
“I like you in this position half-breed. You shouldn’t even be on the throne! But, seeing as you are, you belong to me. As soon as you reach legal age, I will take your virginity and the council will be forced to bond us. As I am the elder, that makes you the breeder. I will take my rightful place on the throne, and you will be nothing more than what you should have been all along. A beautiful little fuck toy!” His attacker sneered.
Atemu opened his mouth to make a retort, forgetting about the spell. He knew his mistake as soon as he did it. The man forcefully shoved his member into Atemu’s mouth. He then grabbed the prince’s hair and proceeded to shove himself in and out while taunting the prince.
“For now, I will settle for this. I’ll warn you again, try to bite me and I’ll rape you now, punishment be damned. You’ll learn to obey me, half-breed.”
Tears stung the prince’s eyes as he concentrated on breathing and swallowing, all while listening to the man make noises of enjoyment as he moved faster.
“Have you seen the prince?” A young man in a white floor length ceremonial kilt, with a mop of unruly blonde hair, asked as he ran up to his companion.
The taller of the two turned back to him and replied,
“No, I haven’t seen him since the ceremony, mutt. I thought he was with you.”
“RRR! Enough with the dog references, damnit. And yes, he was with me but he decided to change before he went down to the banquet hall. I haven’t seen him since. It’s like he just vanished again.”
Seto looked into his newly bonded mate’s honey colored eyes. He would never get enough of looking at Jou. That was his favorite hobby. The two started to lean towards each other. Just as their lips were almost touching, Jou shook his head and told him,
“I love you, but now is really not the time for this. We need to find the prince. With everything going on, he could be in danger, and I would never forgive myself if something happened to him.”
Atemu had been doing that a lot this past month, this disappearing act. All four of his friends had noticed. They all knew something bad was happening. But what, they had no idea. Before, when he’d disappear, the prince would tell at least one of them. Now, when he’d disappear, no one knew where he was. And when he came back the last couple of times, he was always paranoid, silent, not letting anyone close to him. Including his friends.
“Seto? Are you coming or not? Cause if not, I’ll find the prince on my own.” Jou looked up at his lover.
Seto smirked at him “He’s not going to like me when we find him. I’d like to have my honeymoon now. But since Atemu’s being a brat and running off, I can’t. Let’s get this over with so we can get on with our night.”
“I’ll make it up to you when the search is over. I promise.” Jou gave his lover a peck on the lips before picking up his long white kilt and speeding down the corridor.
Seto admired the view for a few seconds, thinking that Jou was going to hurt someone if he continued running like that without looking where he was going. Then he too picked up his long blue kilt and took off after Jou. He was too far away to stop what happened next.
Jou, in his haste to find the prince, was glancing into the open rooms as he passed them. What he was not doing was paying attention to what (or rather who) was right in front of him.
Marik and Bakura, in the middle of yet another argument over who was the superior marksman, had just rounded the corner coming from the banquet hall. Jou ran full out into Bakura, sending both of them tumbling to the floor and over each other. Marik blinked as he looked around. One minute he was arguing with his partner in crime, the next minute Bakura was…
Marik finally looked behind himself and couldn’t contain his laughter. On the floor behind him was a thoroughly confused Bakura with Jou’s head in his…Marik collapsed against the wall in tears, he was laughing so hard.
‘Oh this is rich; the mutt will never live this down. Neither will Bakura.’ He smirked to himself, and then said “What, didn’t you get enough from Seto, Mutt?
Seto had just reached them in time to hear Marik’s comment and see the pile of limbs on the floor. He too lost it. Laughter rang through out the corridor. By that time, Bakura regained his senses, and said
“Gaa! What are you, some kind of pervert? “, then he glared at Seto “Seto, leash your dog or I’ll not be responsible for cruelty to animals.”
Jou, meanwhile, was trying to untangle his legs from Bakura’s so he could get his head out of his friend’s crotch. His face red from the effort (and the blushing), he glared at his friends and his mate.
“I’ve had it with these dog jokes! Ha ha funny you three. Now lay off! Look guys, this is important. We need to find the prince. He has…”
Jou didn’t even get to finish talking before a blur of white, gold, and black vaulted over them pile of them and disappeared around the next corner.
“Atemu!” “Prince” They all shouted after him. It was too late, he was long gone. Seto and Marik were amazed that he had missed running into the bodies on the floor at the rate of speed he was going.
“Let’s go. I know where he’s headed.” Marik shouted as he sprinted after his youngest friend. The others soon followed.
The prince ran to his chambers, where he slammed the door before bolting into the washroom. He had just made it in time to throw up what little was in his stomach. After dry-heaving a couple of times, he slid down the wall next to the toilet and pulled his knees to his chest.
Just then his four friends burst through the door and into the room. Jou flopped to the floor, Bakura leaned over and put his hands on his knees, Marik and Seto leaned hard against the wall. All were breathing heavily.
Seto recovered first and said “You’re fast for a little shit! What’s wrong, for you to be running through the halls like that? You could have been hurt.”
Atemu raised his tearstained face to his friends. Each caught their breath at the haunted look in his crimson eyes.
Bakura swallowed, “so that’s it then, you’ve been defiled?”
“No! At least not like that! Please, I need your help. You guys are the only ones I trust. I have to leave this place! If only until I am older, stronger in body and in magic. For me, for my kingdom. Please, I have never begged anyone before. I am doing so now. Help me leave here.” Atemu whispered.
Bakura answered him, “No, we’ll not let you leave by yourself!”
“What about your ailment? Who will help you keep it in check?” Seto touched Atemu’s forehead with the back of his hand.
Atemu slapped his hand away and said “I don’t care. I’ll find a way to deal with it for a while. If I don’t leave soon, I’ll end up no better than a concubine! I’ll be leaving with or without your help, thank you!”
Atemu then stood up and walked unsteadily to the sink to rinse the vile taste out of his mouth.
After sharing a glance with Bakura, Marik walked over, put a hand on his shoulder and stated, “We didn’t say that we wouldn’t help, just that you’re not going alone. Bakura and I just happen to know of the perfect place to hide out. And how to blend in. No one will find us until we want to be found. All we ask is that you three not narc us out for what you find there.”
He walked over to Seto and Jou. “I know that this is your honeymoon and all, but I need Seto to use his persuasion on some people. Plus we need to obtain documents and cover our asses. Will you help? It’ll take a couple of days, tops.”
Seto looked at his friends’ faces, then at his lover. “Fine, but we’ll start in the morning. I have some business to attend to for now. Come Jou.”
He started to walk away, Jou following, and then he turned back around and faced the others.
“Do not leave Atemu unattended. Any where he goes, one of us four follows. One of us will sleep with him if need be. I’ll make sure we leave here with in two days. But if I may ask, where are we going?”
“To the human kingdom.” Bakura replied with a smirk.
