Confusing conflicts

Amheke: What shall we do to our puppets today, sister?

Kiyoko: Well that depends on what sort of things we come up with today.

Amheke: Alright then but it’s going to have to be exciting and thrilling!

Kiyoko: Well the story isn’t called Time Tunnel for no reason.

Amheke: Alright then, on with our story with one final statement, when Seto is in public I'll most likely call him Kaiba if he's alone or with Mokuba I'll most likely call him Seto so don't get confused on me.

Kiyoko: What are you talking about I'm already confused! @_@

Jou walked out on the floor examining his customers, ‘great a group of old men, that means nothing but catcalls and slaps.’ He walked over to the group after picking up his receipt booklet and checking their order. ‘Just drinks so far, guess I should see if they want some munchies.’ “Good evening Gents, my names Joey and I’ll be serving you this evening. I see that some of you need some refills. I’ll bring you those in just a moment, was anyone looking for anything from the grill?”

The group stared eyes widened. They glanced around the table unable to speak. Finally Kaiba spoke up, “Just bring us whatever looks good, and allot of it.”

“Alright, I’ll be right over with those refills.” Jou walked away quickly, unsure of what to think.

“He works in a strip club?!?” Otogi gasped.

“Um, I think he is a stripper…” Bakura giggled.

“Well this should be quite a show then!”

“Marik, baby what about me?”

“I didn’t say he’d be better than you are, just it would be some kind of show. What
do you think Kaiba?”

“Why am I being brought into this, I don’t give two damns about the mutt and as far as I’m concerned I’m missing more than enough work right now.”

“Brother, you know better than that and so does my blackmail. I say we stick around here and see who he talks to and just wait and watch.”

“That sounds most reasonable and maybe we can work something out so he doesn’t have to work here any longer!!!” Yugi rambled.

“Who are those girls, they seem familiar?”

“Pharaoh, your losing your mind,” Bakura glanced at the bar, “no way…”

“What is it ’Kura? Are you alright?”

“Ryou, I know those two. I hate to admit it but dumbass is right. They were friends of mine in Egypt, actually they were thieves! “

“What do we do?” Yugi whispered.

“Watch and learn, then we’ll make decisions little one.”

Jou came back to the table handing out fresh drinks and the oversized appetizers. He explained one of the other girls would be taking over until he was finished onstage. Leaving with one last smile he disappeared into the back room. Dressing for his performance and applying eye liner so he’d stand out. Shrugging into his shimmering black thong and reapplying his black leather pants and skintight shirt. The announcer came on telling the crowd to get their money ready. Jou raced to backstage just as soon as the music came on and the curtain went up.

The blond teen sighed and melted into the music. He began to sway his hips in time and his body followed suit. The oil glistened making his golden skin shine in the lights. Jou slid his hands up his body and grabbed a pole sliding himself around it. He thrust his hips toward the crowd eyeing the money being held out to him as he slid down to the patrons. He paused to allow the men to stuff the money in his pants before lifting himself and dancing back up the stage. Slowly he brought his hands about his body and down to his button. He slid down the zipper and began to peel of the skintight leather. Slowly he dropped the pants on the stage, thong shimmering in the lights. Leaning towards the crowd he dropped to his knees and crawled down the stage shaking his butt. Soon the thong was laced with money and the song was coming to a close. Rising to his feet and glided back up the stage just in time for the curtain to engulf him. He knew the cleaners were gathering the extra cash and he stole away to his dressing room.

Kaiba gasped never realizing just how lean the mutt really was. ‘Damn, that picture won’t be out of my mind for quite a while. Shit, now that stupid mutt is taking over my thoughts. Ok so he was there once or twice before but geez, that was a bit much. Ra damn, Mokuba watched that!!!”

“I think he was pretty comfortable up on the stage…” Bakura reasoned.

“That doesn’t mean he wants to be there!” Yugi tried to defend his friend.

“I never realized Jou was capable of anything like that,” the rather silent Honda remarked.

“Hello boys, all the drinks doing good? Can I bring you some more scotch, sir?” Kiyoko asked. “I’m taking over until Joey is able to resume his tables. My name is Kiyo.”

“Hello ‘Kiyo’, it’s been a while.” Bakura smiled.

“Kura, darling. I think I’m a bit stunned that I’ve seen you again so soon…”

“Soon, it’s been a millennia. Hey, wait! How did you know who I was?”

“Boys, your watches only have so much power and now they’re all starting to wear off. Don’t worry I won’t let our muscle bounce you.” Looking around the table the guys gasped, most of them were revealed and the rest were shimmering.

Jou went back into the main room and directly to the bar. Throwing back a shot of Jack Daniels he grabbed the receipt pad and went toward the table. Glancing at the table he gasped, ‘that shot is effecting me pretty damn quickly.’ “Thanks, Kiyo, I’ve got it…” Jou’s eyes went wide, he wasn’t hallucinating the table of middle aged men were his friends.

“Jou, fancy seeing you here.” Yugi tried to joke.

Jou stood there stunned thoughts racing through his head. ‘They know, I can’t leave, I need to get enough money. What do I do, they know. Kaiba knows!!!’ “Hey guys what’s up?”

“I don’t know why you need to go behind our backs, Jou. If you really needed money we would have lent it to you!” Honda sighed.

“Hold on,” Jou groaned. “Amheke, I’m taking my break, mind watching over my tables?”

“Sure Hun, I’ll tell Kiyo. Do what you need to do, you’ll be fine.”

Jou turned back to the table and pulled a pack of cigarettes and lighter out of almost this air. Lighting one up and taking a long drag he slid into the booth. “Guys, you really don’t know much about me. Let me explain before you decide to interrupt. You all know I live with my father and my mother left taking my younger sister. My father’s always had problems with money, meaning he tends to piss it all away at the bar. On the nights he could find his way home he’d usually beat me pretty well. Finally I decided it was time for me to get a job. At this point we had a bit of ramen, no electricity, no heat, behind on the rent, no phone, and if dad didn’t have enough money to drink, I was the turn of entertainment.

“No suitable form of work would hire me, and no Kaiba, I wasn’t going to embarrass myself in front of you. I heard about an opening here from… some old friends, sort of gang friends. I came here to ask about a position at the bar and the hired me right away. After the main waitress quit the boss threw me out on the floor. I made more money than the dancers, so I was put up on the platform. I’ve never slept around for money though. I have a few standards. This job pays the bills and occasionally puts food on the table. This isn’t something I imagine doing forever, but we’re not all born into multi-billion dollar corporations.”

“Excuse me Mutt! I worked my ass of to be where I am today. I provide for myself and Mokuba with everything I have. Not to mention we were not born Kaiba’s, the name came from hard work as well. You think you know everything about everyone, don’t you?” Kaiba seethed. “Jounouchi Katsura, you have no idea of what you’re talking about and you never know, I probably would have given you a job if I knew what the situation was! Screw you Mutt, you’ve proven that you’re lower than the dirt we walk on…”

“Seto, that’s quite enough!!!” Yami hissed. “Everyone has there own strengths and you have no right saying any of that to Jou.”

“He’s right, I could’ve found a different job if I had tried hard enough. Unfortunately showing up to interviews bruised and bloody doesn’t do much to impress anyone.”

“So, Jou’s just using his talents,” Marik replied. “It’s not his fault that he’s…”

“Don’t you even finish that sentence if you want to get laid ever again!” Malik growled.

“We might have been able to let you work at the Game shop, you should have told us.” Yugi argued.

“I didn’t want any of you to be involved. My life is stressful enough as it is. I don’t know it’s just nice to go somewhere that no one knows who you are, somewhere that you’re special.”

“You think being a stripper is special? It’s barely a step up from standing on the corner! Ra, someone could get jealous and rape and kill you.” sighed Ryou.

“Let the boy do what he wants, he has good people watching over him, very good people.” Bakura spoke, surprising the entire group by not teasing the blond.

“I’m sorry I disappointed you guys, but until you know what it feels like to be beat every day and night for being useless you can’t tell me what to do. Gratification is the one thing I’ve never earned in my lifetime.”

“You truly are pathetic, miserable, a few punches is going to keep you in the slums for the rest of your life. Let’s go Mokuba, this was a total waste of time. Not to mention it’s far past your bedtime.” Seto stood up and waited for his brother to shuffle out. “Mokuba the car is out front I’ll be right there.”

“Yes brother, please hurry.”

Seto watched until his brother was out the door before once again regarding the group. “Mutt, I’m sorry I ever wasted my breath over you. I thought you were better the mulling over lost opportunities and dreams of unrealistic options, I was wrong. I never was to see you near me again, don’t bother speaking to my brother either.”

The group watched as the elder Kaiba stalked out the door. ‘Away from my life just like every other person that has ever meant anything to me.’ Jou’s heart broke, if he could speak he would have cried. After a few deep breaths he lit another cigarette and moved away from the table. “I’ll have one of the girls tend to you if you need anything else tonight.”

“I don’t know Jou as well as the rest of you but I would say something is seriously wrong here.” Otogi rested his head in his arms.

“Some days I think the only reason Jou gets through the day are his fights with Kaiba. It’s understandable why he refused to go there for help.” Honda watched as his friend pocketed a tip and said goodbye to the patrons.

“For some motivational ground I don’t believe we should have followed Jou here tonight.”

“Yugi, this was all your idea.”

“Yami’s too!”

“Don’t worry, the poor boy had to let out his secret sometime.”

“Damn, your as stealthy as ever Kiyo!”

“Bakura, you know me much better than that.” The blond girl smiled, “you all should get home to your families, Amheke and I will watch over our friend tonight. We’ll see you again tomorrow.”

“Tomorrow, but where, and how do we know you won’t hurt Jou in the meantime?” Yami questioned hesitantly.

“There’s nothing to fear from those two, Pharaoh. There’s a greater chance of some random person writing fan fiction about us than anything happening to the boy.” confirmed Bakura.

“Oh, Kura, that is so sweet!” Kiyo smirked. “Here’s you’re bill and make sure to tip big, it’s being split three ways.”

The remaining four couples paid for their share of the bill, before leaving Kaiba had put down a fifty for his share. Kiyo was told to keep the change as the eight teenage boys sauntered out the door and to their private residences. Looking down the blond realized she was left with a seventy-five dollar tip. Smirking to herself she went back to her other tables.

Seto had just tucked his brother into bed. The boy might be twelve already but he was all the brunet had. The raven haired boy was fast asleep when Seto left the room. He was heading to his office to catch up on missed work but somehow ended up in his private
quarters. ‘I’m in no condition to work, I’ll just take a nice warm shower and get some sleep, tomorrow will be a good time to catch up.”

After finding a change of boxers and pajama pants he went into his private bathroom. Seto ran the water until the temperature adjusted perfectly to his liking. He unbuttoned his the school shirt he’d never changed out of. Sliding the shirt from his shoulders he glanced at the pearly white lines engraved in the flesh of his back. “I could handle the pain, if anyone else, I thought you would be the only other person to be able to endure. I was wrong.” Stepping into the shower the memories came one by one.

“Boy you’ll never be worth anything, you should be glad that I was kind enough to take you in, to teach you. You will not inherit my company like you are now, you must grow stronger, tougher!” Gozaboro hissed his hand coming around to smack Seto across the face. Seto went flying to the floor where his step father began to kick him into unconsciousness. “You’re nothing, do you here me, lower than dirt!” That was the last he’d heard when the void claimed him.

Seto stood in front of his stepfather seething inwardly with anger. His brother had just been put to bed and he was requested in Gozaboro’s private chambers. ‘I’ll never let him get to Mokuba, I’m worth nothing if I can’t at least protect my own brother.’ “Boy, take off your clothes.” Seto hesitated earning a punch. “You heard me.” He stripped to his boxers. Gozaboro coughed and he removed the last part of clothing from his body. Blood rang in his ears as he was instructed to turn around. “Hmm, your not worth much, not worth my taking either. My friend, I’ll give the boy to you for the night! He’s never been touched, I believe this would seal the deal for our companies.”

Seto was never aloud to see the man who first raped him. He was taken to a spare bedroom and tied facedown to the bed, blindfolded. The man came into the room and moaned. “I didn’t think they’d set you up for me, you are lovely aren’t you?” The man put his cigarette out on Seto’s lower back before picking up his razor blade. “He said I can mark you anywhere that can be covered, all you are to him is a piece of meat. Just wait until he offers your brother.” Seto tensed before pulling at the restraints. “Shh, you don’t want to go and upset me now.” He slid the blade over Seto’s tender skin drawing blood, tracing the open flesh with hot wax. Hearing the gasp of pain the man laughed, “I guess it’s time then.” He stuck his fingers into Seto’s mouth instructing him to suck, “the better you lubricate them the less painful it will be.” Removing the fingers he brought them to Seto’s entrance, he slid three fingers in at once not giving the boy time to adjust. He stretched the opening once or twice before replacing his fingers with his member. Slamming inside of Seto before pulling out. Tears leaked from Seto’s eyes, his face buried into the pillows. He tried to just stop thinking, not focus on anything and he’d hopefully wake up from a bad dream as this mysterious man pounded inside of him. Slowly the void of unconsciousness fell upon him from blood loss.

Seto shut off the water and dried quickly, dressing and returning to his main bedroom. “I’ve got to stop remembering.” Slipping beneath the covers he put on the radio to a station that would hopefully block out the dreams, and the memories. “I came to power on my own, no help required.” Seto explained to himself as he stared at the ceiling. “No help…”
