Chapter 2
Kaiba stepped out of his limo ever so swiftly and stepped into the school. He simply hated this place. He knew more than his teachers and it was just a waste of his valuable time. He could be at Kaiba Corp right now, but instead, he has to go to school and listen to these idiots try to explain things that he had learned years ago. But, of course, he would always do whatever he needed to ensure Mokuba's safety and he had to go to school in order to be able to remain his brother's legal guardian. Graduating was one of the requirements he had to fulfill in order to gain guardianship of his little brother and he would do anything for Mokuba, no matter how stupid and inefficient.
So the young CEO entered the school and, without wasting any time, he quickly made his way over to his first class. Even though class wouldn't start for another 10 minutes the CEO had work to catch up with.
Soon, the bell rang and the herd of students entered the classroom. And, as always, the blond puppy came running in five minutes after the tardy bell. The teacher didn't even bother to speak to Jou. She just merely through the detention slip at him.
Jou took the detention slip as he made his way to his seat, slightly limping. His father had taken him three days in a row without preparation and he had been rougher than before. This had given Jou a limp which he hoped to Gods that no one noticed. He just simply couldn't explain this to his friends.
Unfortunately for Jou, the CEO, always noticing every little thing around him, noticed the mutt's limp. He did not like seeing Jou like this. Not to get him wrong, he still considered Jou a mutt, but he was HIS mutt, damn it. The puppy belonged to him and no one, NO ONE, got away with harming HIS property. Kaiba was determined to find out who dared to hurt his puppy and then… well… lets just say that Seto Kaiba's vengeance even makes the devil shake in his boots.
Jou slowly made his way to the empty desk that was right next to his best friend, Yugi. It was also one seat in front and one seat to the right of the Dragon of his dreams. As Jou sat down, he slightly winced at the pain in his bottom. This wince also did not go unnoticed by the mighty Seto Kaiba, who was getting angrier and angrier at whoever hurt his puppy.
As lunchtime neared, Jou's stomach gave a loud growl. He was getting hungry. He hadn't eaten anything since yesterday's lunch at school. As Jou reached for his wallet, he noticed that it was missing. Great. Just fucking great! His father had taken the last of the money that Jou had to work hard for, sweeping other people's yards, to, no doubt, buy more drinks so that he can abuse his son some more tonight.
At lunch time, Jou just went and quietly set down next to his friends. Yugi was giving him concerned looks.
"Jou-chan, why are you not eating? And don't tell me you are not hungry because I know that your stomach is a bottomless pit". Jou did not need to hear this right now. He was hungry, and probably would be until maybe he went out behind some restaurant and dug in the trash because he had no money. The last thing he needed was Yugi reminding him of the fact that he was hungry.
Again, the fact that the mutt was probably starving yet hadn't gotten anything to eat bothered the blue-eyed brunet. His thoughts had been preoccupied with the mutt the whole day. How dare some nobody mess with HIS PROPERTY?! When he found out whom it was that was doing this, they would pay dearly.
That thought gave the CEO an idea. First, he needed to know who it was that was hurting what was his. He was sure that the mutt would not tell him. So, being a multi billionaire, Kaiba decided to hire some detectives to spy on Jou and tell him what was going on. With this new plan formulating in his head, he took out his cell and started dialing a number. Soon, he had arranged for someone to spy on Jou; someone whom he knew he could trust not to tell the information to anyone but himself.
Next, the brunet had to find some way to feed his puppy. After all, Seto Kaiba always took care of his pets. Hmm… he mentally smirked at the idea of having Jou on his knees on a leash, waiting for Kaiba's commands.
Before he got too carried away with the thoughts of a blond puppy, Kaiba quickly decided that he would simply leave his lunch where Jou would see it. This way, the stubborn puppy did not have to owe him anything and he would be full, at least for a while.
So, the CEO set down at a table near the mutt, took out his lunch, opened his lap top, pretended to work, then closed it a short time after and rushed out, pretending that there was some important business he needed to take care of.
His sudden and hasty moves did not go unnoticed by Jou, who also realized that Kaiba, leaving in a hurry, forgot to take his lunch. He was pondering for a moment whether to actually take the bag or not when his stomach gave one more loud growl, and Jou decided that the CEO would not miss it anyway.
Telling his friends that he had to go to the bathroom, Jou quickly got up and tried to get out and get close to the table where the CEO had been sitting previously. With one quick move, he grabbed the forgotten lunch and almost ran into the boy's bathroom. Locking himself in one of the stalls, he started devouring Kaiba's lunch.
Jou had been in such a hurry that he hadn't noticed the blue eyes watching him leave. Kaiba wanted to do more, he needed to find out who was hurting Jou and what exactly was that person doing to his puppy. Well, at least the puppy would not starve for now, and hopefully by tomorrow he would know what was going on with him.
After school, the CEO was headed towards his limo when a blond blur tried to bypass him but ended up bumping into him instead. Jou fell straight on his ass and winced at the pain. His golden eyes slowly opened to search for and apologize to whomever he hurt. He was stopped as the icy cold voice came.
"Watch where you are going, mutt" and with that the CEO left, heading straight for his limo. Jou didn't even have time to reply. He only sat there, watching the blue-eyed Dragon leave, admiring him from behind.
Soon, Jou remembered that he had detention, and quickly rushed to the detention room, not wanting to get into more trouble than he was already in. But man, Kaiba had one fine ass. With that thought, Jou started running again in a hurry.
