The next day, Seto woke up and find diced up raw meat by his bed. He sat up not remember clearly of what happened the day before but he ate his late morning meal and enjoyed it. Later, one of his servants came in and told him that Joey Wheeler is here and is waiting for him in the living room. He quickly got out of bed and heads down stairs.

Joey sees him coming down and quickly got up from the couch and goes over to him. “Hi, I see that you slept well.”

“Why are you here?” Seto asked.

“Well... we... umm... made a bet.....and well I won on the.....duel .......so...you...have to....be......my......s-s-s..... lave...” Joey said as he tried to explain. “But don’t worry I won’t make you uncomfortable.” He sighs and thinks to himself. ‘I just want to be with you.’

Seto narrowed his eyes. “I don’t do those kinds of bets. Now out.” He said as he pointed to the door.

“No, I’m not leaving. You owe me one Kaiba. You owe me! I’m the one that saved your grade. Cuz with out me, you would of flunk out of that class and have to retake it. Now we are going to spend the day together.” Joey scowled at him.

“Get him out of my sight.” Seto said as he walked away.

Joey narrowed his eyes and grabs Seto’s hand. “I’m not leaving. Be lucky that I said that I wouldn’t make you uncomfortable. Unless you make me.”

Seto took his hand back. “Don’t treat me like that to your master mutt. Leave.”

Joey glared. “You owe me one rich boy.” He reached up and kissed Seto and holds the kiss.

Seto’s eyes widen and push Joey away. Then wipe his lips. “............You are sick Wheeler. Fine I’ll go along with this but you’ll regret it. and its just one day.”

Joey nodded. “Okay let’s go for a walk for a little while.” He said.

Seto sighs thinking that is stupid. “Sure, I guess we can walk into town.” He shrugged and not looking how Joey beamed up at the suggestion.

“Sure, let’s go.” Joey nudges Seto.

Seto sighs. “Alright.” He turns and walks out while Joey follows him.

As they walked, neither of them talked. Seto perked up on alert and suddenly pushed Joey in a building. Seto sniffed and smelled food. Thinking. ‘Great, I had to push him into a restaurant. Great.’

Joey blinks for a moment and looks around for a bit. “Hungry?”

Seto paused for a moment. “Umm....yeah I thought that we could stop.”

Joey smiles some as a waiter came over and sat them at their table. Seto hesitated on what to order but order a medium rare stake. Joey ordered some food and knows that this could be his only meal for today. Seto leans back some still on an alert. Joey notices it.

“Kaiba, what’s wrong? You seemed to be tense.”

Seto looks at him. “It’s nothing.”

“Uh, huh. I know that look Kaiba something's up.” Joey said.

Seto shook his head. “It’s nothing Wheeler.” He said narrowing his eyes.

“It’s something or you wouldn’t push me in here and you be this tense.” Joey pointed out.

“Wheeler drop it. It’s nothing.” Seto said harshly.

Joey sighs. “Fine it’s nothing.”

The waiter came out with their food and serves them. They quickly eat their meal and Seto pays for it. As they headed out, Seto stayed alert and Joey still wonders why Seto is acting strange. Seto stops and look around. “Wheeler don’t ask any questions. Run.”

Joey blinks at this. “What? W...Why?”

“Just run.” Seto growled and claws start to form.

Joey nodded and ran. As he looked back, he saw two wolves attack Seto. He gasps and run for his life as another wolf came out and starts to chase Joey down. Seto sees this and quickly knock the other two wolves and changes into his own wolf form. He goes after the one that is chasing Joey while the other two shakes and goes after Seto. Joey reaches to a dead end alley. As he looked around thinking of where to go, he turns and sees the one has been chasing him. As he backed up, the wolf jumps at him but only got tackled by Seto. They both lowered their heads in an aggressive manner.

As Seto stepped forward the other two wolves joins with their leader daring Seto to step down. One of the wolves charges at Seto but Seto knocked it way as the other rams its hard head on Seto’s shoulder shattering it. While the two wolves kept Seto busy, the leader jumps onto Seto’s back and bites down on his neck

Joey grabs a pipe lying on the ground and hits the leader. Leader lets go and turns towards Joey. It growls and as it was about to strike, Seto quickly knocked the other two and jumps onto the leaders back biting down on its neck. He growled and shook his head trying to break it while showing power to the other wolves. He finally breaks the neck and the other two sees this and ran away as he snarled daring the others to fight. He sees the wolves running he is panting and breathing heavy as he fell to the ground with a thud. He struggles to keep his wolf form. Joey walks up to him and eyes widen as Seto starts to change back slowly as he lost conscious. Joey steps back in disbelieve as he sees Seto lying there naked, bloody and torn on the ground. He now knows why Seto was tired yesterday and that he was acting strange.

Joey tries to move Seto to a wall and took off his own jacket to cover him up. Then he got up and walked looking for a phone to call someone to pick them up. Ten minutes later, a limo came by and the driver got out and runs over to them. He checks Seto over. “Come on.” He said as he lifted up Seto. He then looked at Joey. “Get in the car.”

Joey nodded and goes into the limo with no questions ask. The driver put Seto in with Joey. “Keep him comfortable.” He said as shut the door. and quickly got in then drives off to the mansion.

Joey wonders how long Seto was a wolf and why he couldn’t tell anyone. He then wonders why did he protect him and not rip him to pieces.. The car stops and the driver helps Joey to take Seto in. They bought him in his room and lay him down on his bed. “We need to clam him down. Here go into the bathroom and get some bandages. The drivers said to Joey. Joey nodded and does so.

The driver checks over Seto to see if he has any major problems such as internal bleeding. As the driver touch his shoulder, Seto growled and he back off. “I had a feeling.” Joey handed him the stuff. “Thank you. This won’t be easy. Try to keep him calm while I tend to his wounds.

Joey nodded and takes a breath trying to keep him calm himself. He slides on the other side of Seto and he slowly and carefully moves some hair from Seto’s face. The driver handed him a warm damp cloth. Joey starts to gently clean Seto’s face. As he was doing that, he starts to talk to him softly. “Thank you for saving me. Though we do fight a lot and argue. I really want just to know you really. And maybe to be with you for at least for one day.” He wipes the blood from his lips. “I promise I won’t tell anyone of what you are.”

Seto winces as the driver finishes. “There all finish.”

“That was quick.” Joey said as he looked at the driver.

“Yeah, but I owe you though. You kept him quiet while I worked on him.” He said as he covered Seto up. “Now he just needs rest.”

“Oh by the way, we haven’t introduced each other yet. I’m Joey and you are?” Joey said holding a hand out to the other.
The driver paused for a moment. “Call me Zero. I really can’t tell you my real name.”

“Okay. Zero, how long have you known about this?”

Zero thinks for a second. “Let’s see, when Seto was first turned and that was about four or five years ago.”

“Wow! That long!?! Doest his brother know about this?”

Zero shook his head. “No, he thinks that no one knows. Only I know, and now you.”

“Why keep a secret?” Joey asked curiously.

“One reason are the hunters. There are hunters out there that think a good wolf is a dead wolf and will anything to make a wolf suffer before they kill it. Like taking someone they love to make the wolf beg. I believe there’s a hunter like that near by.” He looked at Joey.

“It’s not me.” Joey said fast.

“I know, but I thought that you might know someone. But you wouldn’t know. I have to go, stay here and try to keep him still.” Zero said as he was leaving the room.

Not to long after Zero had left, Seto stirs and beings to open his eyes. “What happen?” Then he looked over at Joey. “Great, Why are you here?”

“Well you saved me and I brought you here with some help.” Joey answered calmly.

“What?” Seto sits up but Joey kept him down.

“You need to rest.” Joey said to him.

Seto growled. “Let me up Wheeler.”

Joey shook his head. “Just calm down and rest.” He said as he strokes the other’s hair trying to calm him.

Seto closed his eyes for a moment. Then moves his head. “Go away and leave me.”

Joey sighs. “Sorry Kaiba, I won’t. Besides I found out a secret of yours and that I know ‘your bark is worst than your bite.’ He said hinting.

Seto stares at him uneasy that Joey knows. “Get out.”

Joey shook his head. “Seto what will you do to make me leave? I know that you won’t hurt me. Or don’t have any intentions to.”

Seto sighs. “So you know......I don’t want anyone to know.”

Joey nods. “Yeah, but why call me a mutt?! You are the wolf here.”

Seto close his eyes with a smirk forming. “It’s fun to see your reaction.”

Joey rise a brow. “Oh?” Then he punched Seto in his wounded shoulder. Seto holds back a wince as Joey got on top of him. Sitting on him. “Now, who is the mutt here?”

“I still say that you are. Now OFF!” Seto growled trying to push him off with his good arm.

Joey sighs and got off. “Well I guess you seemed to be fine. But Kaiba, you should let someone in and that you need to lighten up a bit.” He said as he was walking out of the room. “See ya’ on Monday I guess.”

Seto slowly sat up keeping the covers on him as he carefully move his arm as he seemed to stare into nothing while pondering of why Joey all of a sudden starts to care about hi. Though he knew that it wasn’t in Joey to leave him, but why stayed? He wondered.

Zero came in and looked at his boss. “I see that you are feeling better.”

Seto turned his head and looked at Zero. “Why are you here?”

“Sir, I’m the one that helped your friend, Joey to bring you here. So I’m just checking on you and to see if you need anything.”

Seto looks at him. “Alright I want to be alone.”

“Alright. Just tell me if you need anything.” Zero said as he walked out.

Seto got out of bed and put on some clothes. He walked down stairs to his office to work on some of his program to ease his mind some.
