Author’s Note:Fans fans...(can I call you all that?) I had no idea I had a split fan base. It seems some of you are more “Home of Our Own” and some of you are strictly “Kimi ga Iru”...
I like that...I think. It’s interesting and far out for me to even...experience...well fans and flames and...it’s odd. I mean...it’s just a tiny fanfic and here some of you are telling me I make your day and stuff.

I hope you know that mostly, ya’ll are makin’ my day.

Purr

Bakura sat on Kaiba’s desk, facing forward. He flicked his tail randomly and moved his ears around, yawning as the young CEO lectured on.

“That is NEVER happening again Do we have an understanding?”

“I’m sorry...I don’t speak your language...” he yawned and looked over his shoulder. “I’ll do whatever the fuck I want. We cleaned it up. Besides, Ryou needs to learn how to cook things.”

“You are giving the staff a major case of stress -.”

“I’ve been here one day. Take a pill.” Bakura ran his claws through his hair, growing irritated. Why didn’t the bastard just get on with it?

He looked over his shoulder again and flicked his tail. Seto looked over some paper work and leaned back in his chair.

“Tomorrow you can have a tour of the facilities we use to train Nekos like yourself. It would be a very good idea if your brother came along.”

“I’ll see what I can do...” he muttered.

“You should also show yourself at dinner.” Seto eyed the flicking tail and reached his hand out slowly. “I’m sure Mokuba will be delighted. You can meet Noa.”

“Who’s that?”

Seto began to move his hand over the tail, coming at the fur with his fingers, encouraged by the growing purr.

“Mokuba’s Neko. I’m sure with a little convincing, that one will be willing to train as well. He can read minds.”

“Can he...” Bakura arched and pulled his tail away, waving it in front of Seto a bit while he watched the door. “I have to go check on my brother. See you later Human.”

“You’re cute when you purr.”

Bakura went to the door. “I’ll cut your heart out.”

Seto chuckled and went back to his computer. It was only a matter of time.

Ryou felt like a champion He’d conquered the bed and it had only taken him two hours and three falls

He sat on the bed’s canopy, looking over and flopping back down, enjoying himself. He wondered if his big brother would get mad about all the claw marks in the wood when the door opened and he sat up, hair all over the place.

“Nya?”

Bakura blinked. “You look insane...”

And Ryou did. His hair was up on one side, frizzed on the other, spiky near the bottom and one of his eyes was only half open.

“What have you been doing?”

The Kitten stretched, yawning. “Playing Trees.”

Bakura just shifted his eyes from side to side. He wouldn’t ask.

“Well...get down. Apparently, we have to go to dinner soon.”

“NEVAR ” came the defiant cry, the Kitten flopping back down.

“Come on Ryou...” Bakura went over to the bed and sat on the bed, shaking his head at the clawed pillows. “And stop tearing shit up.”

“...Big Brother?”

“What?” he snapped, immediately regretful as he heard a sniffle. “Ryou?”

“...I can’t get down.” he whimpered.

The Alabaster rolled his eyes. “Ryou...”

Just great.

Jou watched Shizuka in the main social room of the Center and wagged his tail sadly. She was just sitting there on the couch while everyone was talking or playing. He knew she couldn’t really see the tv because she was too far back and in reality, she wasn’t looking at it. She was staring at her lap.

“...How long has she been like this?”

“Well...” one of the staff looked at a chart in their hands. “We actually have been...having to force her to even come out of her room. She just sits in there all day with the lights off. This is the worst case of transition we’ve seen in a while.”

The retriever mix’s ears drooped. “Is there anything I can do?”

“Visit more.” they said, walking away.

Jou walked through the room, avoiding the Pups tearing around the room after each other and side stepping Neko tails. He climbed over the back of the couch and put his nose in her ear.

“Oh!” she cried, jerking away, then smiling. “Jou! That’s cold!”

“I know!” he grinned. “How ya doing?”

The girl smiled, then looked very sad. “I’m fine. Here...we eat every day.”

Jou rubbed the back of his head. “Yeah...sorry about that stuff.”

“It didn’t matter. At least when we ate we were all together.” She looked at him and Jou could see her big blue eyes getting cloudy already. “They want to do the surgery soon.”

“I know. I’m coming to stay with you when they do.”

“And then we can go home? To the den?”

Jou stroked her hair. “I’m not sure...don’t you want a home?”

“I have a home.” she whimpered. “With you and Honda and Otogi and -.” She started to cry, remembering about Honda. “Some man took Honda away. We’ll never see him again.”

“What? You mean he got snatched by the Pound?”

“No...” she wiped her eyes. “He had a collar on...I think...I dunno...I couldn’t see it but he smelled really different.”

“Hm...” Jou was happy, but thought it was odd that anyone would want Honda. He chewed, he’d probably pee on things and he had a whiney attitude...at least, as far as he knew.

He hugged Shizuka and stood up, taking her hand. “Let’s go out in the garden, you know, watch the sunset a little?”

“Okay...” she sniffled and let him lead her out.

Otogi got back on his feet and Mana clapped from the front row.

“Mahado! If he can walk on his hands we can put it in the act!”

The dark haired man nodded. “Where’d you learn that?”

The Kuro Neko shrugged. “Learned it playing around.” His stomach growled and he figured he’d got out and see what he could find before the show. “Hey, um...Mister.”

“You can call me ‘Mahado’ you know.”

“Oh...well...I have to go find something to eat, so if you’ll excuse me -.”

The man laughed, going over to him and patting his back. “We’re all going to eat together. Have you ever been to an Italian restaurant?”

Otogi blinked. “What the hell is that?”

Mahado just laughed and tossed Mana his keys. “Hey, pull the car around?”

“You got it Boss.” she snatched them out of the air and left the room, humming a tune.

Mahado turned his attention to Otogi who was just standing there, watching him. He took his hands and smoothed the boy’s ears, yanking his hair out of its tie. He petted him some more and Otogi felt his knees weaken as he leaned against the man and purred.

“Good kitty...” the man whispered.

Otogi blushed and stood up again, feeling stupid. “...sorry.”

“No, not at all.” he kept staring into Otogi’s green eyes and the Neko grew flustered, turning away.

“I’ll...go wait outside.”

“That’s fine.” Mahado watched him leave, thinking of his tuxedo’d Neko in a mask.

Mamoru...

Malik let out a purr like laugh when Kurama made a joke and walked with him to the school gates. “So...you’ll come over to study this weekend?”

“Hm, certainly, why not? I’m having a small bit of trouble with my calculus and it might be good idea if we tried to figure it out together. Why not invite Yugi? He seems to be doing stellar.”

The Golden mentally rolled his eyes. That Neko was the last thing he needed trying to ruin his plans.

“I’ll see about that but in the mean time -.”

“Oh...” Kurama said softly, covering his mouth and ducking his head.

“Huh?” he looked around.

“It’s...” Kurama blushed and stepped forward, holding his books to his chest as a raven haired man stepped forward, lifting a small grey mask from the lower half of his face.

“Youko...”

Kurama turned a deeper shade of red and looked around distractedly. “Ah...ah...oh dear, I must be going, I should go home -.”

“I’ll drive you home.” the man purred, sharp, small black ears could barely be seen they blended so well with his hair. A sleek black tail snapped behind him and he smirked. “I’m sure your Hiei wouldn’t mind.”

“But I would!” a warning yowl accompanied the statement and the taller man rolled his eyes.

“Hn, the midget is here.” he blew a kiss and tossed a rose. “Later Youko...”

“Bye...Karasu...” he whispered, giving a tiny wave.

This enraged Hiei. His tail shot up and he hissed, taking Kurama in hand. “We’re leaving!”

“Okay...” he said dazedly. “See you later Malik...”

The Golden blinked. Once, twice...and again.

He didn’t even have a chance.

The roar of a motorcycle snapped him out of things and he saw Marik arrive. He was about to go over when he saw Yugi zip through the crowd and tackle him off the machine. People stood around giggling or watching, making comments and he rolled his eyes, heading towards Ishizu’s car.

Hmph...Yugi...

Yugi sat up and smiled down at Marik who was trying to make the world stop spinning.

“Damn Chibi...warn me before you do that shit...”

“Hoi hoi!” he chirped and Marik rose a brow.

Yugi giggled. “I learned it from Kikumaru Eiji!”

“...why do you say his whole name?”

The Kitten shrugged and got up, dusting himself off. “Can I drive?”

“NO!” Marik got up fast then. “I do not want to die!”

“Aw.....”

*Make me New Update is coming, I promise. I’m just worried about transitional things in the story.
*I think...I love the Neko fic more than Kimi ga Iru fic...or maybe I just need to do some one shots to get back in the groove...
*Schwarzwald wants donuts! It’s 8:30 a.m.
