Summary: When Ryou’s dad catches him and Bakura making love, he breaks them up the only way him knows how. Follow the love between a yami and his hikari as they get separated and brought back together because neither gave up on the love they shared.

“Morning Love, good sleep?” Bakura asked Ryou as he stretched out with a cute little grunt.
Ryou smiled and couldn’t help the slight giggle that escaped his lips, “Very good sleep…like always.”
“Come on we better get up,” Bakura muttered as he reluctantly let go of Ryou to use the bathroom. When he walked back into the moderately decorated bedroom, Ryou was already dressed for the day consisting of a soft, baby blue shirt and jeans. Ryou waited as Bakura quickly donned a simple outfit consisting of a plain, white tee shirt and cargo pants, and of course his favourite knife in his side pocket.
When they got down the stairs, Ryou saw his father on the couch in the living. “Hey, Dad. I didn’t know you were going to be back so soon,” Ryou said with a huge grin on his face as he run to embrace his father.
David put on a forced smile, his chocolate eyes full of a hidden emotion, “Uh, yeah, I came home early to surprise you.”
“Well, I’m diffidently surprised! Why are you here anyway?” Ryou exclaimed, as he let his father loose with a questioning look.
“Well, I was going to take you someplace special for your birthday as a surprise, but I think you’ve surprised me.”
Ryou looked at Bakura worriedly, then back toward his father, “What do you mean, Dad?”
David began to shake with fury, his eyes turning ebony with his rage. As he stepped closer to Ryou, Ryou was pulled behind a body he recognized as Bakura’s. *Stay behind me Ryou!* “What are you saying, David, that I hurt your son?” Bakura spoke with venom.
David muttered angrily, “He is not my son. My son is not a freak…A…fag!” Each word was spoken distastefully, and with as much hatred as he could manage.
Suddenly David slashed out and slammed his fist hard enough into Ryou skull to knock him unconscious. Then he began to land blows all over Ryou body, which had fallen to the floor. Bakura half panicked for a minute before he instinctively pulled his knife out and stabbed it straight into David’s chest and put it back into his pocket again.
Bakura ran to Ryou’s side, trying to think of what to do. His first thought is to call the pharaoh. Soon after he hung up the telephone he does exactly what Yami said. He gingerly lifts Ryou’s injured body into his arms, bridal style, careful not to jostle him to much as he rushes to the hospital.

AN- I know I haven't updated, so I'm very sorry. I do have memory problems. When I remembered about this, they were changing servers, then I just got lazy. So from now on I will try my hardest to update with no more than a month inbetween chapters. Hope you liked it. Please R&R.
