Chapter Two: Get Along
'I just want to get along with you.
Be with you forever.
You complete my puzzle,
And there aren't enough words to say I care...'
I sing my made-up song, feeling a little better. Seto always told me my voice was like an
angel, but I think he liked it more when it was calling his name.
Heh.

"Jounouchi Katsuya. 16-years-old. Senior Class B." I say intorducing myself during speech
class. "Likes: Women and Duel Monsters. Dislikes: Arrogant people."
Why me of all people is in a speech class? Everyone knows me for my loud talk and even
louder walk.
"Kaiba Seto. 16-years-old. Senior Class B. Likes: Duel Monsters. Dislikes: Makeinu
Jounouchi."
The others laugh as once again I'm the butt-end of one of Kaiba's insults. Kaiba and I
haven't gotten along. Ever. Not even in middle school. He's always teased me.
I've tried to get along with him, but he doesn't want it to happen. I wonder why? It's not
like I can go and buy whatever he has. He owns his own company! So I know it's not
jealousy.
What else could it be?
I look back at him as he sends text messages back and forth with him employees.
Before class is over, Dr. Ikanawa announces that our first speech will be a team effort.
"I want Jounouchi Katsuya and Kaiba Seto to be partners for this. No 'ifs', 'ands', or
'buts' about it!"
No! Did he just say that?!
"As for everyone else, partner up as you choose in groups of two."
Everyone shuffles around and pair off. I turn towards Kaiba who has a death-look directly
on me.
Great...
"For you assignment tomorrow, I want you to decide on a topic. Your topics will be
graded so choose them wisely. Class dismissed."
We stand and bow before sensei as he leaves the room.
"I don't like being paired with you anymore than you like being paired with me."
Kaiba...
"Jounouchi, you want us to wait up on you?" my best friend, Honda Hiroto asks.
"Nah, go ahead to lunch and save me a seat." I say before he and eventually the rest of the
class depart the room, leaving me and Kaiba alone.
"So, what's our topic Kaiba." I say, knowing that there's no chance in hell this will get
accomplished outside of class.
"Whatever you want it to be Katsu-chan."
Nani?! Katsu-chan?!
He moves in front of me. What the hell is wrong with him?! And what's the deal with
'Katsu-chan'?!
"Why are you doing this Kaiba?"
"Doing what?" he replies softly...sensually?! Is he flirting with me?! Is this the same Seto
Kaiba or his nice twin?!
"Kaiba," I say making some distance between us. "I don't go that way. There is a woman
out there for me. And last I thought, you have the same package I do."
"I do. I just want to share it with you."
Ha...Kaiba's gay. Can't wait until that gets around school!
"Pass. Now, what's our topic so we can hurry and get this over with?!"
"Why rush Katsu-chan? We have the rest of our lives to spend together."
This is getting TOO weird! Even for me! Why does he continue to call me 'Katsu-chan'?!
Wait a minute...does he like me?!
I'm a MAN!!
He moves closer to me, wrapping his arms around my waist and resting his head on my
shoulder.
Ok...why can't I move?!
I guess it's the knee that's lodged millimeters from my groin....
"You don't have the slightest idea how much I care about you, Katsu-chan."
Kaiba...is being nice...to me. And there are pigs flying outside the window.
"Why all of a sudden are you being nice to me?" I ask.
"Simple. I have deep feelings for you Katsu-chan."
I feel my heart skip a beat as he whispers those words in my ear. It's amazing really. The
ice cold Seto Kaiba has emotions other than anger and hate.
"My topic is you. I want to learn everything there is to know about Jounouchi Katsuya. In
return, I want you to know everything about me."
"Kaiba-kun...gomen ne. I don't feel that way towards you. Now, let's choose our topic so
I can go to lunch.
He sighs then looks into my eyes.
"If that's the way you want to be, fine. You can still be the inu you are!"
Now this is the Kaiba I know.
"The inu...that I love." he says before kissing my lips.
I push him back and punch him in the jaw then leave.
That will leave a mark.
