Ryou paced around the living area of his hotel room. He just didn't know how to explain to his band that the concert they were to do in a week was actually a joined concert. Not to mention they were to play with their most hated rivals in the music corporation, The Surrounding Darkness. What was he going to tell them? How would they react to having a sudden practice today with the band? So lost in thought was he that Ryou jumped in fright as a knock sounded at his door.
"Come in!" He said, his voice cracking as he paused in mid-stride and began to wring his hands.
"Dude, whats wrong with ya? Ya look like ya just saw a ghost or somethin..." Joey said with his usual grin as he walked in and quickly jumped onto the unoccupied couch.
"Leave him alone Joey. Ryou has a lot to deal with, you know. What, with his 'hidden lyrics', the concert, and something about the band. He's nervous." Yugi said while following Joey in a much more civilized way before picking Joey's feet up and siting down on the couch next to him. Joey promply placed his legs over Yugi's small form as Yugi crossed his arms over Joeys legs. Malik walked in, took one look at the two, and shook his head. Deciding to take the more formal approach, Malik sat down in a chair and crossed his legs, waiting for Ryou to begin to speak.
"Well, now that everyone is here, I have something to tell you..." Ryou began before being interrupted.
"Well, duh! Just get on with it man!" Joey said while inspecting his nails and grinning.
"If your QUITE finished Joey, I will. As I said before, I have something to tell you concerning the band and the concert. As it seems, we'll be doing a duo concert with The Surrounding Darkness. We also happen to have an appointment to practice with them later on today." Ryou said while crossing his arms behind his back and looking over each of his bandmembers and friends carefully.
"Whaaaaaaaat? You gotta be kiddin me Ryou! How could ya do somethin like dis ta us? It's gonna distroy our image, not to mention it'll be bad for our own sales." Joey argued while sitting up quickly to look at Ryou furiously.
"Joey, chill out. We'll be fine." Malik said while crossing his own arms and looking at Ryou curiously before adding, "Let me get this right Ryou, you expect us to practice with Bakura's band, sing and play with them on stage, and be okay with the fact that we're sharing the lime light with people who are just as popular as us?"
"Yes...and no. Even though most of us are in physical relationships with the other band members..." At this statement from Ryou, everyone looked away, "We all are apart of our own bands. Seeing as Bakura and myself wrote this song, we decided it would be best to play the song together as well. You all have the music, Bakura and myself are the only ones with the lyrics. As for our images, along with their own image, it'll be boosted. Just think, two of the hottest bands, in both music and looks, come together to create one of the most sensational songs ever from our time. Records with tripple in sales and our image will be broadcasted around the world...We'll be more famous than we already are!" Ryou finished with a triumphet grin and a final tone.
"Yeah! Let's do it! It'll rock!" Joey said, jumping up and punching one hand into the other. Looking around, he suddenly paused and strached his head. "Uhhhhhhh........Ryou? What time was da rehersal again?"
"If you actually listened to him, you would know he hasn't said it yet." Malik answered sarsactically with a smirk.
"Awwwww, shut up Malik. Who asked ya?" Joey said, raising his fist as Yugi and Ryou laughed at the two boys.
"It's at two-thirty Joey. We have two hours until we're to be there." Ryou said while trying not to laugh at Joey's unrealized impression of a fish out of water.
Joey made a high-pitched sound and scrambled to get around the couch, resulting in tripping over the side table in the processes. Upon impact, Joey attempted to crawl his way towards the shower while saying in a panicked tone., "I need ta get in da shower, and get ready, and make sure everythin is perfect for practice!"
"Yeah, he needs to make sure everything is perfect alright...Perfect for when he gets to see Seto is more like it." Malik said in amusment as Joey gave him the finger and slammed the bathroom door shut on everyone. Laughing, the three other boys decided to call down for something to eat while waiting for Joey to pamper himself for Seto and the practice session time to come around.
