“I just don’t get Kaiba at all, one minute he’s cold and unfeeling the next he’s hot and seductive. I could barely string three words together back there in the hall.” Jou thought as he sighed as he sat down under one of the many Sakura trees in the school backfield.
“Then what is the deal with all the weird feelings I have been having… it’s like I have some kind of perverted ghost stalker.” Jou said softly as he chuckled to himself humorlessly, lying back against the tree.
“Something wrong, mutt?” Kaiba spoke as he suddenly appeared before Jou, thus startling the young blond. “Ah! Where the hell you came from?” Jou shouted at the stoic CEO, who looked down at Jou in amusement.
“You never fail to amuse me, inu… so tell me why are you here all alone. Where are your weird friends?” Kaiba said with his usual smug smirk as he sat down next to Jou.
“In the cafeteria so what do you want?” Jou asked as he eyed Kaiba in warily. “No need to be so distrustful, besides what could I possibly want from you?” Kaiba replied Jou’s question with a question of his own.
“My point exactly! And why are you having so much contact with me, usually we try to avoid each other as much as possible and then when we do run into each other we have arguments for once we’re being civil so my new question is what the hell is wrong with you?” Jou asked losing his cool by the second.
“You’re right.” Kaiba said simply, shocking Jou as the young blond’s eyes widen to the size of dinner plates. “I’m never nice to you and my behavior is quite suspicious could it possibly be the fact that I might be attracted to you.” Kaiba said casually.
“What?!” Jou squeaked in shock and fright. “Maybe because I find your silky golden blond hair beautiful, your glimmering amber eyes alluring, your flawless lightly tanned skin gorgeous as well as that supple physique delicious to lay my eyes upon, or could it be your infectious laugh.” Kaiba listed.
“K… Kaiba what the hell are you talking about?” Jou asked as he blushed brightly. “Oh nothing mutt, only that you need to wake up.” Kaiba said as he drew close to Jou’s face. “What?” Jou said as a bright light flashed before his eyes forcing him to close them.
“Uh… what, don’t tell me that I was actually dreaming about Kaiba?!” Jou screamed as he opened his eyes, looking around the schoolyard to see he was alone, laying under the same Sakura tree his so-called daydream took place.
“I’m pathetic. I’m actually fantasizing about that cold, egotistical, know-it-all asshole! I don’t know if it’s drugs I’m taking or drugs I need to be taking, but I must have completely lost my mind.” Jou muttered as he jumped to his feet as he heard the late bell.
“Damn! I’m going to be late!!” Jou yelled as he ran back into the school, never noticing Kaiba who was leaning against the very tree Jou lied under, holding the Millennium Rod with a satisfied smirk.
“Don’t worry my little golden god. There will be many more dreams to come.” Kaiba said smugly as he idly twirled the Millennium Rod his hand before declaring that promise.

“Jou, what happened you were almost late for class?” Yugi asked as Jou ran into the art room and sat down at his desk.
“Fell asleep.” Jou answered, which was the truth although he was definitely not going to mention the dream he had about Kaiba. “Funny, you seem flush… you’re not getting sick are you?” Ryou asked in concern.
“No, just probably from the run I was all the way in the back of the school.” Jou grinned, trying to reassure his worried friends, secretly glad that Yugi and Ryou were the only two of his friend that had art class at this period with him.
“Lord only knows that I will have to hear this from everyone else if they were in this class with me.” Jou sighed.
“Mr. Kaiba you are late, is anything the matter?” The art teacher asked who was an elder woman about the age of forty, graying black hair tied in a messy ponytail, soft blue eyes and wore a simple black dress.
She would be what you called a “free spirit”… who was often wore a smile on her face, was the easiest on her students and believed in free expression. “I’m fine, Ms. Tamachi… just a business call.” Kaiba said curtly before taking his seat.
“Well now today we are going to paint, in doing so paint whatever you feel is in your heart. You have all period, good luck and I’ll be looking over your progress.” Ms. Tamachi smiled as she gestured everyone to the easels in the middle of the art classroom.
“So what are you doing to paint?” Ryou asked Yugi and Jou. “Don’t know, but I think I have an idea.” Yugi grinned as he began to spread a series of dark colors on the canvas.
“How about you, Jou?” Ryou turned to his blond friend, who seemed to be in some sort of trance, as he painting with fluid grace that seemed incapable of him. “Forget it Ryou, you know how he gets when he’s submerged in art. It’s weird to see Jou like this.” Yugi chuckled.
“I know he doesn’t seem like the artistic type does he?” Ryou giggled as he went back to his painting. Time passed in art class, as most of the student finished their paintings and sat back at their desk, all except Jou who was putting the final touches on his work.
“I never seen Jou so focused before, I wonder what he’s painting.” Yugi said to Ryou. “Don’t know, but like his other work, I bet it’s beautiful.” Ryou said in admiration as he looked at some of Jou’s other work hung up and posted up in the art room. Each sketch, drawing, and painting beautifully done with the style and magnificence of a professional.
“Who knew the mutt could have such a long attention span.” Kaiba remarked coldly behind Ryou and Yugi. “Shows how much about him you don’t know in fact Jou loves art and he’s a great artist, he’s even going to major in history and art when he goes to college.” Yugi said firmly.
“So he’s not just another dumb blond, interesting.” Kaiba thought as his musings were interrupted by a gasp in awe, earning the class’s attention and caused them to run over to Jou and their teacher.
“Whoa… it’s amazing.” A student gasped. “Beautiful.” Another student muttered. On the canvas was a landscape of a desert oasis overcast by a darken sky with shimmering stars, and a stunning full moon. Sitting on the shore of the sparkling waters were two figures, one lying on the chest of the larger one, as the larger figure had its arms wrapped protectively around the smaller figure.
“Jou that has to be your best one yet… and it shows me that your heart is full of beauty.” Ms. Tamachi said as she wiped a stray tear from her eye.
“Um… thanks, it was nothing really, it sort of came to me.” Jou said sheepishly as the girls in the class sighed in admiration at Jou’s modesty. “Cute and modest, how kawaii!” The girls giggled, making Jou blush.

Class soon ended and the last two periods flew by quickly, as the school day ended. “I heard that you painted another masterpiece.” Anzu grinned at the tall blond.
“I guess… strange I don’t even remember even painting it, it was like my hand had a mind of its own.” Jou murmured.
“You get stranger everyday, you know that Jou.” Otogi said as he shook his head in amusement. “Yes, but that’s why we love about you, you are never boring to have around.” Honda chuckled.
“Whatever, I have to go home and change for work… I’ll meet you at the museum, okay?” Jou said as he waved goodbye to his friends before heading home.
“We better leave to Hikari, before Ishizu gives us a lecture on responsibility and punctuality.” Marik grunted in disgusted and annoyance. “Very well, see you guys later.” Malik said as he and his Yami left.
“We should get going too. I don’t want to miss anything.” Yugi said in excitement. “Patience Aibou.” Yami said as his eyes sparked in amusement.
“I know, but it’s so exciting and I’m sure Ishizu will personally give the tour.” Yugi said, as they noticed Kaiba leaving the school. “Hey Kaiba! Are you going to the new exhibit at the museum today?” He asked.
“New exhibit?” Kaiba asked in curiosity. “Yes, it’s an Egyptian one… I’m sure it will benefit if you attend as well.” Yami said.
“Besides I’m sure Ishizu will let you join us if you show up with us.” Ryou added. “Come on High Priest, I’m sure even you can get out of the office every once and awhile.” Bakura snorted.
“You just want a ride over to the museum, Tomb Robber… but alright I’ll go.” Kaiba said with a smirk. “Really?!” Yugi asked in astonishment that they were able to convince the cold CEO.
“Yes, come along, I’ll take some of you over and I assume Otogi will take the rest.” Kaiba said emotionlessly. “Uh… yeah, come on Honda and whoever is riding with me let’s go.” Otogi said as he, Honda and Anzu left while Yugi, Ryou, and their Yami(s) went in Kaiba’s limo.
“It was really nice of you to let us come along Kaiba, thanks.” Yugi smiled. “Yes, thank you very much.” Ryou added. “Hn… whatever, just don’t think things are always going to be like this.” Kaiba said coolly.
“No of course that would require you to be friendly and nice.” Yami said sarcastically. “Good one Pharaoh.” Bakura chuckled, as Kaiba glared at the Yami(s).
“Master Kaiba, we have arrived.” The driver said. “Thank god.” Kaiba thought as he sighed. “Good, well let’s go.” Kaiba said as they got out of the limo. “I’ll call when we’re ready.” Kaiba said to the driver as the limo pulled away.

“Welcome to the Domino Museum, I’ll be your guide for today. My name is Jounouchi and do feel free to ask any questions and I’ll be more than happy to assist you.” Jou said as he was dressed in a pair of black slacks, red silk dress shirt, and black leather dress shoes.
“You look great Jou.” Yugi grinned. “Thanks Yug’… wait what are you doing here, Kaiba?” Jou asked as the smile he cast at his short friend faded into a glare.
“I was invited, is this how you treat all your guests if so then you should be fired.” Kaiba said with a smirk, as he could see Jou’s right eye twitch in annoyance.
“Excuse me for my rudeness Mr. Kaiba, do follow me and I’ll begin the tour.” Jou said as he cast Kaiba a fake smile and led them through the museum, giving the tour.
“I must admit, Jou is doing an excellent job as a museum guide… but then again I always knew there was more to him than meets the eye.” Kaiba thought.
After giving them the tour, they reached the Egyptian exhibit’s wing of the museum, where they stood before a large door. “Please follow me the new exhibit unveiling will begin shortly, Ms. Ishizu will perform the presentation.” Jou said as he led them inside the room.
Inside the room, were many different groups and several museum guides that must have taken their tour groups here for the unveiling, which meant they were the last group of the day.
“Now that everyone is here, I can now unveil the Domino Museum’s new Egyptian exhibit!” Ishizu announced as the red velvet curtains were drawn back revealing several large stone tablets, ancient jewelry that was strangely in great condition, as well as clothing and other possessions.
“These are personal possessions of one of the Great Pharaoh’s most powerful priests, it is said that he originated from a foreign land.” Ishizu informed as several pictures were taken.
“Why do these things look familiar.” Jou wondered as Kaiba looked over at Jou as if he was waiting for something to happen. “Jou, are you alright you look a little pale?” Yugi whispered.
“I think I need to clear my head for a sec, I’ll be back.” Jou said as he left the room quietly, little did he know another person silently slipped out the room behind him.

Bathroom
“My head is killing me.” Jou groaned, as he finished splashing water on his face, reaching for a paper towel as someone handed him one. “Thanks.” Jou said as he wiped his face.
“How’s your head?” A familiar voice asked, as Jou shouted in shock as he stood face to face with Kaiba. “What are you doing here?!” Jou yelled.
“Can’t a master check on his puppy?” Kaiba smirked. “You are not my master and I’m not a dog for the last time!!” Jou screamed only to have his mouth covered by Kaiba, who was looking around the bathroom suspiciously.
“You must remain quiet, something is in here with us.” Kaiba whispered in Jou’s ear sending warm shivers down his spine. “Get your mind out of the gutter and focus, Jou!” Jou thought as he nodded his head in comprehension.
Kaiba suddenly took out his Millennium Rod as he began to light up the room brilliantly, revealing a dark shadow in the corner of the bathroom near the ceiling. “What the hell is that?” Jou whispered harshly.
“It is a beast of the shadow realm.” Kaiba replied, as Jou looked up to see Kaiba’s appearance had changed, his skin had darkened, his hair had lightened to a reddish brown, and his eyes were a cerulean color.
“Give him to me!” The beast hissed. “It talks!” Jou gasped. “I don’t think so now back to the shadow realm you go!” ‘Kaiba’ shouted as the Millennium Rod glowed brightly sending a beam of light at the shadow beast, destroying it quickly.
“Alright, just what the hell is going on?!” Jou shouted. “Nothing you need to worry about now, my golden god.” ‘Kaiba’ smirked. “The hell I don’t!” Jou yelled as he glared at his rescuer.
“I say you do.” ‘Kaiba’ said calmly as the Millennium Rod glowed once again, but with less intensity. “What’s happening?” Jou asked as he suddenly yawned and collapsed in his rescuer’s arms.
“Sleep well my love.” ‘Kaiba’ whispered as he stroked Jou’s golden locks. Hearing frantic footsteps outside of the bathroom in the hallway, Kaiba turned back to normal and the Millennium Rod vanished.
“Kaiba, what happened?!” Yami shouted as he, Yugi, Ryou, and Bakura came into the bathroom and found Jou in Kaiba’s arms unconscious.
“Would you believe if I said that I wasn’t sure.” Kaiba said in honest confusion. “Huh?!” Everyone asked in shock and confusion, looking at each other before turning back to the confused CEO and the unconscious blond in his arms.
