Chapter 2
The Morning After
Bakura woke up to a head splitting headache and the too bright sunlight peeking through the blinds. Groaning he shook his head sitting up, stretching he walked over to the door to go to bathroom. Before he opened the door something dark and glistening caught his eye. Bending down he touched it realizing it was blood he racked his brain trying to recall where the blood could have come from.
Not remembering, he stumbled through the door and shouted, "Ryou get up here now and bring something to clean this mess up here." With that he went to the bathroom to clean up and take a headache pill. Emerging from the bathroom with a towel on his lean hips he noticed the mess was still there. He mumbled about laziness.
Dressing he went downstairs looking for Ryou. "Ryou, he shouted, 'get your lazy pale rear end over here now." Bakura impatiently waited for Ryou to show and when he didn't hear any sound he got very frustrated and stormed over to where Ryou slept.
Throwing open the door, nearly taking it off its hinges, in his wrath. Noticing Ryou not there and the room seemingly empty considering not much was there in the first place. Slightly worried he started to check the house, when he didn't find Ryou he became increasingly worried. Hoping he didn't do anything last night since he couldn't recall anything at all. Also, hoping that Ryou was playing a game and was going to show soon and waited and when Ryou got home he was going to here it.
Ryou
The trip to the hospital was slightly painful considering the painful jolts. When we reached the emergency room the nurses took one look at me and after gaping, gasping in horror and Yugi's glaring they took me immediately in a wheelchair to a room. The nurse was finishing some checks on vitals when the doctor came, much quicker than expected. The nurse gave him her chart of notes and kept glancing at me in a pitying way.
The doctor sighed and began to talk. "Well, he said, 'its surprise in its self you’re still conscious considering you injuries. "Which include 2 broken ribs, and nose but we won't know the extent of these injuries until we do X-rays."
He paused looking at his chart glancing from me to Yugi were his brow furrowed. "Were going to take X-rays first and if you and your friend don't mind he could fill them out to save time.
We nodded and before I left I whispered in Yugi's ear "Don't mention Bakura please." As much as I didn't like Bakura for what he did you do get rid of at least a couple of year’s feelings in one night. Yugi didn't like it but nodded.
When I got done I was wheeled back into a room and laid to rest with Yugi waiting. The doctor cleared his throat and began to deliver his findings. "Well, we have confirmed the 2 broken ribs and broken nose with no internal bleeding and no sign of head injury," "As I said before its surprising for you to be conscious." I'm surprised too, I thought.
The doctor's talking jerked me out of my reverie. "Where going to keep you here for observation and until you’re well enough to go home and recuperate on your own. The doctor left leaving me with Yugi and the nurse. She gave me some antibiotics and painkillers telling me to rest. With that she too left. Yugi said he was going to call home and tell Yami where he was and why.
Yugi:
‘To say I was angry would be an understatement. What Bakura did was cruel and meaningless. Rage and anger coursed threw my veins. I was very close to going in and beating the crap out of Bakura just so he would feel some of the pain that Ryou was feeling. But Ryou needed my help and was my fore most concern.
Calling Yami I told him where I was and why. Yami expressed his sympathies of what should be done to Bakura and his sorrow for Ryou. I heard the hard edge in Yami's voice and told him not to go over to Ryou and touch Bakura. He promised he wouldn't but knowing Yami he wouldn't really listen and the chance of him listening was slim to none.
Chapter 2 done.
