Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Please R&R

Note: A part in this chapter may be familiar to those who have seen the manga online or off.(Yes
it’s the part where Bakura appears before the Pharaoh with the body of the Pharaohs father. ^-^)

~The Palace~

A guard walked into the throne room and bowed before the Pharaoh. “Pharaoh a women
waits outside. She wishes to know if she may entertain you with a dance.” The guard said.
“Certainly. You may escort her in.”
“Pharaoh she also says she cannot dance without the accompaniment of her musicians.”
“Then let hem in too.” The young Pharaoh said with smile.
Kibo and her companions all walked behind the guard and when no one was looking
Bakura snuck away leaving Kibo to do the rest. And so she danced. She danced before the
Pharaoh himself as the whole room watched and clapped to the music no one noticed that one
player was missing.
Her head hurt. She tried to stay calm. If Bakura was caught they would all die. She
gulped but kept her smile and twirled wondering what it was that Bakura had to do. Finally the
Pharaoh stood and clapped approvingly of the dance.
“Perhaps you would like to come back and entertain us again tomorrow.” He said. It was
so boring in the palace it was good to have entertainment. Kibo bowed and nodded silently and
was dismissed. She crossed her fingers that Bakura was already outside.
She was almost to the exit when the guard was stopped. She shivered as the others left
through the doors a head of her. “I’m afraid I must leave.” The guard said. “The door is there.
Be back here tomorrow same time.” He said before leaving.
She turned sighed and headed for the doors. She yelped as she was pulled in behind a
tapestry on the wall her face smacking into a mans chest causing her to bite her lip. She looked up
and saw Bakura smile down at her. She touched her lip and noticed it was bleeding slightly.
“Are you hurt?” He asked making her look up only to have him lean down and suck her
bottom lip. She stood still like a statue and noticed that they were in a passageway behind one of
the tapestries. She felt let go of her lip and licked his own. “Very good.” He said letting her go
and looking out from behind the tapestry and leading her to the door when he saw no one.
They got out safely and he followed her all the way home.

“Now tomorrow when you go to the palace...”
“What do you mean. I did what you asked why should we go back?” She said horrified to think she had to do that all over again.
“I never found what I was looking for.” He said. “Besides I own you.” He said cooly
leaning back in his chair.
“You OWN ME!” She said right ready to hit him. He opened one eye to look at her and
then closed it again shrugging.
“I know your secrets.” He said simply.
“We had a deal.”
“I said I would keep my mouth shut but for how long is up to you.” He smiled as she
realized that he never said that he would leave her alone after she helped him. She whimpered
slightly and sat back down. He was right. As long as he continued to bribe her he owned her.
She heard his chair move. “Don’t worry I wont hurt you.” He said smiling that evil smile
that made her shiver. “After all I wouldn’t want my dancer to loose her nerve to dance the way
she does.” He tapped her check and once again left.

The week went by with her dancing for the Pharaoh and Bakura looking for whatever it
was he was looking for. She was less nervous now as she seemed to have built some kind of
confidence that she could always act stupid if he was caught.
They always met behind that tapestry before leaving and went to her home to discuss what would happen the next day but this time was different. He took her not home but to a tomb
instead. She was hiding under a cloak but he was not. She felt almost sick inside as he broke into
the tomb and took her inside with him.
“What are we doing here?” She hissed trying to get free from his hand.
“Were robbing. What else?” He snickered pulled her up next to him and grabbed her by
her upper arm instead.
“No. Your robbing, I’m leaving.” She jerked at his hand and found her self locked in his
tight grip. He stopped.
“Your staying.” He said grabbing her chin and roughly kissing her hard enough to bruise
her lips but she didn’t fight him. Instead she found herself leaning into him and then he released
her and walked on taking her hand and pulling her with him. She followed after realizing she was
not going to get away and he soon realized her hand and allowed her to walk around herself.
It was cold in the tomb, dark and creepy. She stayed close to Bakura as if something was going to jump from the shadows and grab her, kinda like he did every so often. She couldn’t help but laugh lightly at that thought. It was funny how the dark scared her when he was with her but when he wasn’t with her and could jump out and scare her from the dark she wasn’t afraid of it at
all.
He mind stopped then. ~Oh gods. I’m getting used to having the thief around.~ Her eyes were open wide and she tripped while she wasn’t paying attention. He laughed out loud at her
sprawled out figure on the floor. He then picked her up still laughing and took her hand again and
led on.

By the time they left the tomb he had covered himself in many jewel and to her dismay
even left with a body. Whose body she had no idea but he had it for a reason. “There’s no way
I’m taking that home.” She said referring to the mummy.
He grinned. “No need. The suns coming up. And I’ve got a date with the Pharaoh.”
Bakura laughed and left her to go home herself which she gladly did falling on her bed and falling
right to sleep.
