{Takes places iapteapter 15. Seto decides to help Cheri shower as they prepare for the day.}

"I thought you were still sleeping," she said.

"… I never thought I would fall in love," he admitted softly as he stroked her cheek.

Cheri leaned into his hand, her eyes going soft. "Who would have thought that we would have fallen in love with each other?"

"The mutt and his friends would have a field day with this," he snorted but sighed when Cheri wrapped her arms around him, holding each other close. "You like being held." It was more of a statement than a question.

"I feel safer, like the world can't hurt me," she admitted. "My biggest fear, if to be alone."

"Then, I'll never let go." His arms tighten around her, content to hold her like this.
