Chapter 2: Arisen Feelings

After the explanation from both sides, Yugi and his friends thanked them and then left to go explore around the town a bit. “Well, I wouldn’t believe there would actually be a town in the middle of Illusion Forest.” Ryou said, in his mind thinking about Shadow and how nice he was when they met for the first time.
“Yeah, it’s kinda a mystery how a town could be built here.” Jou said. The others nodded and then split up to go look around the town some more. Back at Charmy’s, everyone thought about the person they were taking care of. “Oh, I can’t handle it anymore! Vector what should I do? I like, ok more than like Yugi but I’m afraid to tell him how I feel about him!” Charmy yelled, falling off the arm of the seat Vector was sitting in.
“We know Charmy, we all have feelings for Yugi and his friends but how can we tell them? They might think were weird or something like that and I hate the feeling of rejection right now.” Shadow said, his thoughts going back to Ryou. “Well, is their anyway how they would believe us and our feelings for them before the knights they were talking about finds them?” Espio asked, not wanting to lose Diamond to the knights they talked about earlier.
“There has to be a way, maybe showing our feeling to them will do until they are more used to living around here then we can tell them our feelings for them.” Vector said, picking up Charmy from the ground beside him and sat him back in his place on the arm of the seat. “That will have to work for now but we only have a limited time, cause once Shiguma is out of their famine then we’ll have to take them there.” Tails said and they nodded, planning their ways on how they were going to show their feelings.

Back in Domino, Yami and Aqua rested in their room, thinking about Yugi and where he could be. ‘Where could you have gone little one, I would do anything to have you come back to me.’ Yami thought, unaware of the door opening and closing quietly that is until Aqua snapped his head up in attention of who came in and spotted no one other than Anzu.
“Why are you here girl?” Aqua growled, wanting to get rid of this pest. “Oh, I just wanted to know why don’t you and your friends just take someone else from the town, obviously the one you chosen might not come-” she was stopped mid sentence at the glare sent her way by Yami.
“He will come back, we will search all over the land to find him and we won’t go for anyone else and that goes the same for Bakura and Seto and their sphinxes.” Yami said, getting up from the bed and walked over to Anzu, grabbing the back of her dress and picked her up, walking to the door and threw her out. “Unless you have any information of where the boy I chosen is then I don’t want to see your face around here again.” Yami said and slammed the door in her face.
She got up and sneered, walking out of the inn and went to go to the Illusion Forest. ‘ If Yugi is still alive somewhere in that forest then I will find him and take care of him myself.’ she thought to herself and followed the faint hoofprints left by the horse Diamond rode out to the forest.

Diamond found a small lake surrounded by white and pink lilies and she sat down near the lake, never noticing Espio was there watching her. He came up to the shore of the lake quietly, being a chameleon he can stay hidden from her sight until he showed his normal colors and picked up a silvery white lily from the crystal clear waters and walked over to Diamond sitting beside her and changed back into his normal coloring, startling Diamond.
“Oh, I didn’t know you were there Espio, I was fascinated by this beautiful lake.” Diamond said. ‘But it’s not as beautiful as you.’ He thought in his mind and held out the lily to Did whd who smiled at him. “You didn’t have to get this for me Espio.” Diamond said. “But I wanted to Diamond, it may sound sudden but I like you. When I first saw you when you came into the forest, I couldn’t help but be near you and hold you in my arms.” Espio said.
Diamond blushed lightly and took the lily from Espio “ Thank you Espio, you’re very sweet you know.” Diamond said, placing the lily behind her ear. He smiled and moved closer to her, wrapping his arm around her and she snuggled close to him, loving the feeling of him being close.

Ryou walked back to Shadow’s home, not having much to do since the rest of his friends are somewhere else in the town. He walked into the back and saw a garden holding the fruit that he had eaten before. ‘I didn’t know Shadow would have his own garden.’ Ryou thought before walking around the small garden, marveling the different fruits grown in his garden, never aware that Shadow was in the garden watering some of the flowers he grown. (ok I made Shadow a bit OOC but can ya blame me…wait don’t answer that question -_-;)
Ryou watched Shadow for a bit then walked into a different area of the garden wanting to help him out. As he watered some of the plants, he hummed a soft tune that his mother sang to him once when he was little. The tune didn’t go unnoticed from Shadow and he went to go see where the lovely song was coming from and saw it was Ryou was humming softly to himself.
‘He just too beautiful, I have to tell him soon or else I will lose him.’ Shadow thought then sat down on the ground, watching Ryou as he watered some of his plants.

Vector watched Jou from a distance as Jou went to his small pond that he would swim in since he likes to swim a lot and from it look, Jou like to swim to. Since Jou didn’t have nothing else to wear while he was here, he would stick to the clothes he had now and quietly went into the cool water and sat down when the water was at least chest high when he sat down.
From what Vector was seeing he noticed that Jou might not know how to swim and he thought this would be a great way how to show at least a bit of his feelings and walked up to him, tapping his shoulder and Jou turned around. “Oh, hi Vector, hope you didn’t mind if I was in here.” Jou said “No “No, I don’t mind at all, it just looks like you’re the type to be a good swimmer Jou.” Vector said, walking into the pond himself and sat beside Jou. Jou blushed lightly, looking down at his reflection in the water. “Yeah, that what my friends said too but in Domino, there’s not a place where people can swim at so I’m not that good.”
“Then while you’re here, I can help you get better at swimming cause I canl sol somewhere in the future you will be needing these swimming skills to help yourself out of danger.” Vector said and Jou smiled, nodding his head. “That would be great Vector.” Vector smiled then started to teach Jou different swimming skills.

Tails went back to his home, going in to pick up a small ball that he kept as a child and went back outside, playing with the ball like he did when he was 8. (yes, in this fic, Tails is older) Kaiser walked back to Tails home, he too having nothing much to do and saw Tails playing with a small ball and walked up to him. “Hi Tails.” Kaiser greeted.
Tails turned around and smiled at Kaiser. “Hi Kaiser, do you want to play with me for a bit, it looks like you don’t have much to do.” Tails asked. Kaiser nodded and they started to play a game of catch to past the time, Kaiser smiling at the innocence Tails had even at his age and that reminded him of Yugi. “So how do you like living here Kaiser?” Tails asked as he passed the ball to Kaiser. “I like living here, and I think Yugi and the others like it here too. I’m thinking about asking them if we can stay here than going to Shiguma since no one is able to find this small town unless you or one of your friends leads them here.” Kaiser said as he caught the ball and passed it back to Tails.
“Yeah, I think that’s a great idea.” Tails said, smiling as he caught the ball once more and then walked over to Kaiser. “Oh yeah, by the way, I was wondering, how did you get two tails?” Kaiser asked once Tails came up to him. “Oh that, well when I was born I was born with two tails, one of my tails being after my father and one being after my mother.” Tails explained. “Oh, ok, that sounds kinda cool to me.”
“Really?” Tails asked. “Really.” “Wow, thanks Kaiser. Most people always tend to make fun of me because of my two tails except for my friends.” Tails said. Kaiser nodded and hugged Tails gently, making him blush a bit being held by his secret crush. “Well, don’t believe them, I think they’re ok with everyone Tails.” Kaiser said and Tails nodded and yawned.
“Are you tired Tails?” Kaiser asked and he nodded tiredly. Kaiser picked him up gently and Tails snuggled into his warmth as he took them back inside the house, Kaiser picking up Tails’ ball on the way in. ‘I have a feeling Tails like me more than a friend and I’m starting to have the same feelings for him but, what about that sphinx that was with the dragon knight?’ Kaiser thought as he went to put Tails into bed, staying by his side as he slept.

Yugi sat on a branch in one of the trees near the entrance, watching the sunset since it has been a while since he walked around the town and wanted to see the place that he once lived in. ‘ I wonder what would happen now that we have left Domino, what will the knights do, come after us or go for someone else.’ Yugi thought as he saw a bit of Domino from where he was sitting at.
Charmy watched him from afar. ‘I wonder what he could be thinking about right now?’ Charmy thought then quietly flew up im aim and sat down beside him. “Hi Yugi.” Charmy said as Yugi turned to him. “Oh, hi Charmy.” Yugi said cheerfully. “What are you thinking about?” Charmy asked.
Yugi turned back to the glimpse of his old town and sighed. “I just miss my old home, I want to go back to my normal life without getting chosen but I can’t go back with those knights there.” Yugi said, his cheerful mode going away. Charmy, seeing him going to a sad mood, hugged him gently.
“Don’t worry Yugi, as long as they don’t know you’re here, them you’re safe with us until we get you and your friends to Shiguma.” Charmy said and Yugi smiled, hugging him back. “Thanks Charmy. You know I have a feeling that maybe me and my friends would be better off living here.” Yugi said and Charmy’s eyes lightened up at that. “ I think that would be a great idea but I think it would help if we waited till tomorrow Yugi, its getting close to dark and I’m getting pretty sleepy.” Charmy said, a yawn following.
“Ok Charmy, let’s get back home.” Yugi said, climbing down the tree slowly until he felt Charmy grabbed him around the waist and blushed as he was carried the rest of the way home.

Espio and Diamond sat at the lake for a little while longer before Diamond let out a yawn and Espio turned to her. “Are you tired love?” Espio asked quietly. Diamond blushed at the nickname, knowing that both she and Espio had the same feelings for each other and won’t bother to hide it anymore and she nodded.
Espio smiled and got up, holding one of her paws and helped her up too and she lied her head on Espio’s shoulder as they walked back to their home and she was taken up to their shared room and she lied down on the bed, falling asleep. Espio watched her before slipping in beside her and wrapped his arms around her.
hopehope we can stay like this forever.’ Espio thought before he too fell asleep.

After a few lessons on different swimming abilities, Vector and Jou took a break from the swimming lessons for today. “So how do you feel about these lessons Jou?” Vector asked. Jou smiled at him. “I feel better now that I’m finally putting my ability of swimming skills to use and I know like you said that it will help somewhere in the future.” Jou said.
Vector smiled before he looked up to the sky and saw it was getting dark. “Well, that will be the end of lessons fodayoday Jou. We can do more tomorrow, ok?” Vector asked and Jou nodded before getting up, Vector following. “Well, let’s get to bed, we have a big day tomorrow.” Vector said and Jou was wondering what would happen but he’ll wait till tomorrow to find out.

After watering a few plants for Shadow, Ryou sat down in the grass to rest for a bit, falling asleep after a while since it was getting close to dark and Shadow came out from his hiding spot, smiling softly at Ryou before picking him up gently and went to his own home to put him to bed before going out for his night shift.
‘Soon Ryou, we will be together and once we are, I will never lose you to anyone else.’ Shadow thought as he went to the area Espio takes his shift in the day.

Once Anzu reached the main entrance of the forest, she smirked and wandered inside. ‘Once I find you Yugi, you will wish you never lived in this village.’ Anzu thought. Before she could go any farther she heard a rustle in the bushes and she turned to the sound, afraid of what might come out.
Shadow came through the bushes and looked at Anzu before he gave her a glare. “Why are you here?” Shadow demanded. ‘I need to think of a reason fast.’ Anzu thought then looked to Shadow. “Oh, I was looking for my friend Yugi and I thought he might have escaped into the forest somewhere away from the knight that wanted him after the tournament.” Anzu said, hoping that will convince him.
Shadow glared at her. “No I haven’t heard of someone named Yugi. Now please leave, you are not wanted here.” Shadow said before turning his back to her and walked away but stayed close to make sure she actually left. Anzu didn’t give up yet, she wandered through the forest, hoping to get past Shadow but only got herself lost in the process. ‘Great, now what am I going to do?’ Anzu thought looking at her surroundings.

Espio smiled and got up, holding one of her paws and helped her up too and she lied her head on Espio’s shoulder as they walked back to their home and she was taken up to their shared room and she lied down on the bed, falling asleep. Espio watched her before slipping in beside her and wrapped his arms around her.

After a few lessons on different swimming abilities, Vector and Jou took a break from the swimming lessons for today. “So how do you feel about these lessons Jou?” Vector asked. Jou smiled at him. “I feel better now that I’m finally putting my ability of swimming skills to use and I know like you said that it will help somewhere in the future.” Jou said.
Vector smiled before he looked up to the sky and saw it was getting dark. “Well, that will be the end of lessons fodayoday Jou. We can do more tomorrow, ok?” Vector asked and Jou nodded before getting up, Vector following. “Well, let’s get to bed, we have a big day tomorrow.” Vector said and Jou was wondering what would happen but he’ll wait till tomorrow to find out.

After watering a few plants for Shadow, Ryou sat down in the grass to rest for a bit, falling asleep after a while since it was getting close to dark and Shadow came out from his hiding spot, smiling softly at Ryou before picking him up gently and went to his own home to put him to bed before going out for his night shift.
‘Soon Ryou, we will be together and once we are, I will never lose you to anyone else.’ Shadow thought as he went to the area Espio takes his shift in the day.

Once Anzu reached the main entrance of the forest, she smirked and wandered inside. ‘Once I find you Yugi, you will wish you never lived in this village.’ Anzu thought. Before she could go any farther she heard a rustle in the bushes and she turned to the sound, afraid of what might come out.
Shadow came through the bushes and looked at Anzu before he gave her a glare. “Why are you here?” Shadow demanded. ‘I need to think of a reason fast.’ Anzu thought then looked to Shadow. “Oh, I was looking for my friend Yugi and I thought he might have escaped into the forest somewhere away from the knight that wanted him after the tournament.” Anzu said, hoping that will convince him.
Shadow glared at her. “No I haven’t heard of someone named Yugi. Now please leave, you are not wanted here.” Shadow said before turning his back to her and walked away but stayed close to make sure she actually left. Anzu didn’t give up yet, she wandered through the forest, hoping to get past Shadow but only got herself lost in the process. ‘Great, now what am I going to do?’ Anzu thought looking at her surroundings.
