Chapter two
Child of hope
Three years later. Jas shifts as he stared at his mother. "Momma are we going to they toy today?" The now 5 year old asked. He had grown to 2 and 3 normally and then jumped to 5 and of course the notes were right. The boy had powers.
Anne looked at the boy. His shoulder length Bleach blond hair was unusually spiky, but his dark violet eyes always glistened with happiness. The boy's skin was a cream color. But for some reason just being out in the sun a couple hours. He would become rich tan.
Anne smiled at her son. "Yes we are you need new clothes. You're growing like a weed." Anne whispers. Jas nodded looking slightly hurt from the comment. Anne stood getting something around. The small boy followed his mother. For his age, Jas was quite smart. He was talking and asking about everything at 2 already.
"Momma can I ask something?" Jas asked as he followed his mother out to the car. Anne looked down at the boy.
"Hmm?" Anne whispered picking the boy up and putting him in the van.
"Why don't I have a daddy?" Jas asked his violet eyes blinked at his own words. Anne froze. She really never what to say and the fact he would have to find his father scared her. What if she lost her baby?
"Because I don't know where your daddy is," Anne answered. Jas looked at her confusedly but didn't ask anything else. Anne sighed as she got in the car and started it heading towards Domino city.
"Momma can I get duel monsters cards?" Jas asked, Anne thought for a moment.
"I guess. Maybe you can show me how to play" Anne replied with a smile. Jas grinned as he looked back out the window but in fact the thought of where he really came from was still stuck in his head. He didn't look like his mother. And he didn't like the fact he didn't know his father. All children had one right?
Anne pulled up to the game shop. "Here we are. This place is little but it seems to have a lot of games here." Anne announced.
Jas bounced out of the car and skipped up to the door. "Jas you wait for me" Anne called. Jas open the door waiting for Anne. Jas ran in after Anne got the door. Jas bounce around the game shop while Anne looked at some games. Jas stop looking at some cool cards in the glass boxes.
Yami walked out of the backroom. Jas looked up at Yami quietly. Yami stopped
finding the young boy looking at him, for some reason the boy was familiar. Yami gasp to himself. The boy had Bakura's haircut and Ryou skin color. But Marik's and Malik's hair color. And his and Yugi's eyes color and face.
"Wello" Jas said in a cute chibi voice. Yami smiled.
"You like duel monsters?" Yami asked. Jas nodded enthusiastically.
"Yup. My momma getting me some" Jas replied proudly. Anne looked up wide-eyed. The young man did have Jas face and eyes.
"Jas I got you and myself some cards," Anne whispers as she walked up. She bought them and quickly grabbed Jas's hand walking out. She never wanted to give up her baby.
"Momma why we have to leave so quickly." Jas asked as he looked up at his mother.
"Just because I remember we have something to do" Anne replied.
**Later that day**
Anne chuckled, as Jas splashed her. "Oh you think your funny huh? You're the one taking a bath not me," Anne pouted. Jas giggled again. Anne smiled but stopped to hear something. "Jas come on, let's get you out," Anne said as she lifted up Jas and wrapped him in a towel. "Stay right here." She said before she left him in the bathroom.
Anne gasped finding three men in her living room taking it apart.
"Any sign of the kid. That the boss wants?" one asked.
"Nope but there's still upstairs" another said. Anne quickly backed away and went ran upstairs to Jas. And quickly wrap him in a blanket, before going out the back she grabbed notebook and a note and went down the fire stairs.
"Momma what's going on?" Jas asked as Anne ran out into the rain. Anne looked at him. She knew someday she would have to say good-bye. She knew someone with a evil soul would be looking for him, a long with the note had told her about a person with many people under there control coming to look for the child that had the power of the shadow realm with him. She knew it was time to give him to the people she thought to be his family. Anne started to cry.
Jas gently reach up and touched her face. He could see she was crying even in the rain. "Jas you're going to be staying with some people for a while. I don't know if I'll be able to come back for you anytime soon." Anne whispered as she held Jas closer.
Jas whimper. "But I want to stay with you" Jas whimpered burying his face into Anne chest. Anne slowed into a walk as she entered the city.
"I know baby. I want to stay with you too." Anne whispered as she kissed his forehead. Anne stopped and looked up at the game shop. The upstairs lights were on. "Jas please be good for them. One may be your daddy" Anne whispered setting the little boy on the game shop back steps out of the rain. Anne quickly knocked hard on the door and turn quickly hiding. Leaving the notebook in Jas hands. Jas let out a cry as Anne disappeared.
Yugi slowly open the back door. Wondering who would be there at this time at night. He quickly opened the door hearing someone crying. He stopped finding the 5-year-old wrapped within a blanket. Yugi looked around wondering why the child would be on his doorstep. The little boy reached up for him, and Yugi picked him up. Seeinw wew wet and cold the boy was. Jas held gently to Yugi as Yugi took him inside. "Now where are you from little guy?" Yugi asked curiously setting the little boy on the table.
"Hey Yami you may want to come down here" Yugi called to his lover. Yugi blinked as the little boy handed him a notebook. A piece of paper fell out.
'I believe this child to be yours. It's hard to say how, but the notebook will tell you more. Please take good care of Jas. He is a loveable child' the note read. Yugi blinks again and read the note again whilst the shock sunk in.
Yami came down and froze to see the little boy he had met earlier. "The note said it's one of ours" Yugi whispered picking the boy.
Yami slowly looks at the baby "But how? We've never been with anyone else let alone a girl and the weird thing is he looks lBakuBakura and Marik too." Yami remarked, as the boy yawned. Yugi sighed. It was a dream to have a kid around.
"We'll call the police in later. Right now he's cold and needs some sleep," Yugi whispered as he headed up stairs and gave the boy a big t-shirt to wear being that Anne left in a hurry, Jas didn't get any clothes. Jas only let go of Yugi to put on the t-shirt. He then returned to holding on to the young men. "Looks like he sleeping in our bed tonight" Yugi said with a smile seeing that Jas wasn't going to let go anytime soon. Yami sighed but he had to say the little boy was cute with his big chibi purple eyes. However the fact that he had Bakura hair cut and Marik hair color and skin color made things a little different.
"So your name is Jas right?" Yugi asked, laying the boy down. Jas nodded meekly. "I'm Yugi and that's Yami" Yugi introduced. Jas smiled as he yawned again.
"It's weird he withwith his mother just today. When she me me she quickly left," Yami remarked. Yugi looked at him and crossed his arms.
"Maybe you did sleep with her and you've been lying to me," Yugi muttered. Yami eyes went wide with shock.
"What? No way!!! I haven't slept with anyone in this life," Yami cried waving his arms about frantically. Yugi made a face at him. Yami sighed knowing Yugi didn't like when he bought up the past and the fact he had pleasure slave and a wife back then. Not that he cared for any of them. Yami went to talk when Yugi stop him. "He's asleep so shhhh," Yugi whispered as he climbs in the bed. Yami sighed again and climb on the other bed.

The four men that had looked throughout Anne's house now stood before a young man. "Your telling me you let them get away. That child's power will help to control this weak world and you couldn't even get him when he's 5. If we wait too long he'll age again and we'll need to start all over again. The young man growled. "Get out there and find him!!!" The young man then yelled.
"Yes master Lex," the man whispered as they left.
"Stupid fools. I have a feeling that it will be me finding the brat that has the power of a duel monster," Lex growled as he looked out a window. "I have to get him before his fathers' step forward and find his true powers." Lex's whispered to himself, a black crystal glowed as he said that.
