A/N: Man this is about done. One more chapter. This is my longest one to date and it is pretty bloody. So as I said before don't like don't read. Now to address my three reviewers.

ChibiRinni-I hope you like what happens here. This one deals a lot with who the Vampires are and who created them and why.

cirquegirl999-I hope you like my other stories. Right now only two are betaed and three are with betas. I'm sorry about the descriptions if they confused you. If you are talking about Pegasus companions I don't know them that well. All I know is that they are bad guys.

Chapter 19 Family Part III


Judgment


Seto sighed as he watched Honda and the others clean up and laugh. He couldn’t remember the last time he laughed just to laugh. He turned away and scowled at Pegasus, he was the cause of this, and he was going to pay for everything he had started. All he could remember clearly of that day was his first kill, his first feeding, but it was at the cost of his wife and daughter and several servants and guards. He hated himself for it but then he had attacked his cousin and best friend the Pharaoh. Turning him into what he is today.

Honda brought him out of his thoughts “Master the clean up is done.”

Seto nodded his head and looked at Pegasus “Get everybody ready judgment starts in fifteen minutes.”

Honda nodded “Yes Master.” He walked away towards the weapons on the far wall taking down four swords, four knifes and four spears. He walked over to give everybody a weapon. He gave the knives to Jounochi, Yugi, Ryou and Malik. The swords went to Seto, Yami, Bakura, and Marik. The spears went to the Hunter Vampires Otogi, Mokuba, Noa and himself.

Mokuba lowered a large container into the pit which filled about one-third of it. Then Noa threw in wood and other materials along with flammable liquids setting it on fire. As Pegasus watched all this he started to panic and pull on his chains. Seto seeing this walked over to the cage “You can’t get loose so don’t even try.” Honda and Otogi put more chains on top of the cage and lifted it up with pulleys putting the cage on a ramp.

This is when Pegasus noticed there was no bottom to the cage. “What is this going to prove? You can’t kill me. I’m centuries older than you.”

Seto looked at the Vampire and smirked “There is only one way to kill you and you know what it is.” Seto looked around at everyone “The judgment has started. Let everyone say why they wish for him to die and then draw blood with your weapons. Drink of his blood to gain some of the knowledge he has gathered over the centuries.” Seto looked at Jounochi “You first. Why do you think he should die?”

Jou stepped up to the cage “I feel he should die because it is creatures like him that created those like me. I never asked for this life, but now I have no other choice but to accept it. As I drank my master’s blood the images I saw where of pain and sadness. I wanted to take that away from him. If this is the only way then so be it.” Jou walked up to the cage and with his knife stabbed him in the ribs. Then he took the knife and ran it along his tongue savoring every bit of what he took from the Vampire.

Seto stepped up behind him and said to him “You did well” as he watched the blood flow from the open wound. Seto turned to Yugi, and Yami knew what Yugi had to do.

Yami looked at Yugi “You must place your judgment on him and wound him in a different place from where Jounochi did. Understand?”

Yugi nodded and walked to the cage. As he stood there looking at him Yugi didn’t know what to say. Finally he looked up with tears in his eyes “You know I don’t hate you I feel sorry for you. You are as far as I know one of the oldest Vampires but after tonight that will be Seto, Yami, Bakura, and Marik; I don’t like the idea of killing just to survive. Granted before last night I had never killed anyone But it was my only family and girlfriend. Yes I regret killing them but if it wasn’t for your kind they wouldn’t be dead and I wouldn’t have to kill anymore.” As Yugi was talking he had been slowly moving towards the cage “You I have no regrets in seeing die.” At this he cut into Pegasus other side thrusting so deep he almost lost the knife. It took Yami to help him get it out. When he finally pulled the knife out he consumed the blood that was on it.

Yami smiled and looked at him “You did a good job.” Pegasus was in a lot of pain but he wasn’t going to give them the satisfaction of letting them know that.

Seto looked at Bakura he knew Ryou was next “Ryou you must pass judgment on him.”

Ryou looked at Bakura and nodded. He walked over to the cage and looked at the blood that was pouring out of Pegasus. Ryou wasn’t sure if he would last much longer. “You hurt people worst than they do. I saw it in Bakura’s blood memories; you left people to die a horrible and painful death. Not just men and women but children. How could you do that to children? They did nothing to you to deserve that horrible fate. You left Seto in the same way, but he didn’t die he made it home only to become like you. A horrible monster, the only difference between you two is he mourned for every life he took as well as Bakura’s. You didn’t, you kept on killing wantonly without regards to what you where doing. I hate you and I want you to die.” Ryou brought the knife up and stabbed Pegasus in his stomach causing him to spit up blood. He then drank the blood on the knife.

Bakura walked up to him and said “Nice job I couldn’t have put it better myself.”

Seto looked at Marik and all he could do was smirk. He knew that a lot of damage would be done here. Marik looked at the others and told Malik “Your turn.”

He smirked. Malik looked at the Vampire and only said “I want you to die, you are nothing, for you to be still be living is a laugh. Judging you to put it mildly is a waste of my time. I know what you did to Marik. Leaving him to see his friends and family die over and over again would drive anyone over the edge. Now I understand something I didn’t before. What we did last night was to make us stronger more aware that what we have become, it is for our own survival. You are nothing. The judgment I pass on you is this. You will die for the insanity you have brought to the world; you will die for letting the innocents watch while you tear their world apart leaving them with nothing but the horror you left them with.” Malik brought up his knife with a look on his face that said get in my way and I will kill you. Malik walked over to the cage and took one of his hands and with a vicious blow cut it off. The hand was still secure in the chain it was attached to but his arm lay at his side with blood drenching him and the floor he was on.

Seto looked at Marik and he knew to grab Malik before anyone else got a shot at Pegasus. Seto watched as Marik dragged Malik away from the cage. He looked at Honda and he knew it was his turn. As Honda stepped up he noticed the other three Hunter Vampires at the back of him for support. Honda approached the cage. As he looked at what was left of the old Vampire all he could do was laugh. “You don’t look so great now. I always wondered what made Vampires so great. I don’t have to wonder any more. You see I am one. When a Vampire showed up one night in my village I was out hunting along with a small group of men. For some reason that we didn’t understand we couldn’t find any animals in the forest. Little did we know there was a Vampire near by, I got separated from the rest of the hunters and by the time I found them they where all dead. So was my village. Wiped out, every man, woman, and child I didn’t know what to do. Yami found me half-starved. I guess I didn’t want to live anymore. To save my life Yami told me a story that at the time I thought was crazy. He told me he was a very old Vampire. He gave me a choice, he said I could die or live to exact my revenge on those who had wiped out my village. I wanted revenge for my family for my friends for my neighbors. So Yami turned me and introduced me to the rest of them. Seto saw something special in me and told me he could endow me with magic to hunt for the blood we needed and to be able to protect them during the day.” Honda paused before continuing. “I took him up on it getting stronger everyday to exact my revenge on the one who turned my life upside down. Now I will get it and nothing you will say can stop me.” As Honda finished he threw the spear at the Vampires other arm, he walked over pushed it in then yanked it out consuming the blood on it. Seto nodded and turned to Otogi letting him know it was his turn.

Otogi stood there and Honda put his arm around him. “It will be okay just speak your mind and just do it.”

Otogi wasn’t much into killing he just wanted to belong somewhere. As these thoughts ran through his head he knew what he needed to say. “My life sucked before I became what I am. Honda made it better though. He didn’t try to kill me like the people I use to live with or your kind for that matter. I got blamed for the killings and disappearances that started to happen when I moved into the village. I couldn’t convince anyone that I wasn’t responsible. I was nearly stoned to death and then chased into the woods. That is where Honda found me bloody and almost dead. He took me to Yami and Seto, the one you call High Priest. I was in a stupor as I listened to them talk. It seemed the only way I could be saved was by turning me into one of them or to just let me die. Honda convinced them to let him change me. Well I was changed. I was told in this form I would be faster and stronger and could exact my revenge on those who tried to kill me. I did get my revenge on all of them but one. The one who started the problems I ended up in. I along with the rest looked for you. We never did find you, but wouldn’t you know you found us. That was a mistake because my revenge will be complete. I will have what I have dreamed of for years; your death.” As Otogi said this he threw the spear and it went through the Vampire’s leg causing him to wince but not scream. He wasn’t going to give them that satisfaction. Otogi walked over to the cage and pulled the spear out and relished in the amber liquid he consumed and turning to Honda and gave him a deep kiss of satisfaction.

Seto turned to Mokuba to let him know it was his turn. Mokuba walked up to the cage and looked at the bleeding and weak Vampire before him. When Mokuba started to talk to him the Vampire jumped slightly as he was right next to his ear. “Have you wondered who used to live in this house? Well let me tell you. It was me. This is or was my house. The man who adopted me was cruel and sadistic along with the creature that changed him. I didn’t like my adopted father at all. I wanted my brother and parents back. They died in a horrible accident. I was put into an orphanage by my so called family. All they wanted was my money. I cried every night for my brother Seth, but I knew he was dead.” As Mokuba continued his story the Vampire was wondering where he was going with this. When Mokuba spoke again there was a cold chill that ran through him. “Kaiba Gozuboro came to the orphanage where I was staying. I convinced him to adopt me when I found out he had a son who lived in virtual isolation away from the world. Would you like to know what his name was or should say his name is?” Pegasus looked at the young Vampire and wondered what his game was. Mokuba continued “His name is Noa.”

At this Noa walked up to Mokuba and puts his arm around him. Mokuba looked at Noa who continued the story. “I was in an accident and couldn’t move. I was bed ridden. When Mokuba first moved in I was jealous of him. He could move around where I couldn’t. Then one day Mokuba came for his usual visit when I saw bruises on him. I asked him how he got them and when he told me that it was my father I didn’t believe him. Mokuba stopped coming one day and I asked my father where he was. He looked at me with disgust and told me he was being punished for upsetting me. I asked him how Mokuba was being punished. He turned on the monitor in my room and I watched as he was beaten. After that I tried to protect him.”

When Noa paused in his story Mokuba then picked it up. “I didn’t know that Noa had found out that it was true what I told him until I limped into the room to see him. Noa looked at me and cried. I had never seen him cry until that day. Then he told me he was sorry for not believing me and told me how he had found out that I was telling him the truth. We held each other until we fell asleep. Neither one of us realized that our life would change that night. Kaiba came into the room later with a strange look in his eyes. Little did we know that he had been attacked, in fact the whole house had been. We where scared. Unbeknownst to us Seto had been watching the house. Kaiba was about to attack us when we heard a noise, he stopped and turned to investigate where the noise came from. When he left I turned to Noa and told him I was going to look for help and to not let anyone in.” Mokuba looked to Seto before carrying on. “I left, then shut and locked the door. I followed Kaiba to where we had heard the noise. It was Seto somehow he had managed to get into the house. He saw Kaiba; things are kinda fuzzy after that. All I can remember is Kaiba being dead and me dying. Seto asking me if I wanted to live and me saying yes. When I woke up again Seto was looking at me and telling me that my life had been changed and that I could seek vengeance on the one who tried to take my life. I looked at him and told him it was the man who lay on the floor dead. That is when I told Seto about my life and who I was. He didn’t care at first but then I remembered Noa, I wanted him to walk again, to no longer be a vegetable lying in that bed. When I explained this to Seto he agreed to let me help him change if he wanted it.”

Noa stood next to Mokuba as he listened to the story, he had heard it before and knew it well. Then he spoke up. “Mokuba came back to the room. By this time I was scared, I thought something bad had happened and couldn’t change it because I was stuck in bed and couldn’t move. When he entered the room I was relieved and then concerned when this stranger followed him into the room. Mokuba told me not to worry and then told me a very strange story and that I could walk again if I wanted to. All I had to do was accept a gift that the stranger had given him that he wanted to give to me. With my father now dead at the hands of someone I didn’t even know and the entire household staff also dead I was scared of what was going to happen to me. Well not just me Mokuba as well since he had also been adopted. When he told me I could have the ability to walk again I agreed to the gift. I felt Mokuba’s teeth on my neck then a sharp pain then darkness. When I woke up I was hungry and as I fed for the first time I also found I could walk as well. The only way to thank Seto and his friends was by letting them stay here and make this their home.” Noa turned to Mokuba smiling. “We never looked back after that and Mokuba did say that Seto did remind him of his brother once. This made me happy that he could have that reminder. The judgment me and Mokuba have decided to pass onto you is a slow and painful death, to take away your future like ours was taken away.” At this the spears they where holding were impaled into Pegasus’s groin causing him to finally scream in agony as the two boys took the spears and using them like knives impaled him over and over again, causing blood to spill all over the cage and making it look like a bath. They removed the spears and consumed the blood that was dripping off of them.

Seto nodded to the two boys and they looked at him and smiled. That was when Yami, Bakura, and Marik walked up and stood by Seto. They turned and looked at Pegasus. “Final judgment is ours.” Seto said. “I judge you for taking the life of a man of god who you defiled and disgraced and turned into something vile and hideous. With this judgment I take away your ability to walk.” With this said he walked to the cage and chopped off both of his legs leaving nothing of his ability to walk.

Yami turned to the cage “My judgment is as follows, you forced a dear friend and cousin to live a depraved life only wanting revenge. For your judgment I take your ability to see what life has to offer you. I will only take one of your eyes because I want you to understand how much you took away from all of us and to be able to witness your own demise.” With this said Yami cut out his eye and half his face with the sword.

Bakura watched and smirked, he liked the blood that was flowing from the old Vampire.

Seto brought him out of his thoughts “Bakura you’re next.”

As Seto said this he looked at Pegasus “You ruined my life, you set things in motion that cannot be changed. My judgment is this I will take your ability to hear. The only voice you will hear is what is in your head. I say this because a lot of times that is the only thing I hear.” Bakura cut off one of his ears so he could hear Marik’s judgment.

Marik stood there and watched knowing that after he passed judgment this arrogant Vampire would die. Marik looked at the dying Vampire and said nothing and at that moment everyone in the room knew this was going to get messy. Marik walked up to the Pegasus and started to swing his sword cutting at Pegasus and not stopping until the rest of them grabbed him and pulled him back. Marik was laughing so hard that tears formed in his eyes.

Seto looked at Pegasus and knew it was time for the final judgment. Each one of them lined up and looked at Pegasus and said in unison “Guilty, we sentence you to death.” With this said the cage was pulled from the far side of the pit with ropes until it was over the fire and then; he was dumped in.

Seto watched as the Vampire burned and for the first time he felt contented, like a burden was lifted off of him. The rest of them felt it too with the link they had with each other. The hunters cleaned up from what happened and the rest went upstairs to just relax for the first time in a long time. Seto was truly happy he had a family again.
