Cold as Ice
The supplies have been gathered as did the travelers.
"Are you all ready?" Atemu asked. They all knodded.
"One question, are we all walking?"
"No, you see, I stole someting from Cleo." He showed them a blue jewl and stuck it in the center of his chest.
"What are you doing?" Seto asked as Atemu got down on all fours and transformed into a huge black bodied spynx. His head was the same, just twice the size.
"Pretty!" Said Anzu. Atemu Spynx layed down so the hole group could climb on his back.
Anzu sat behind his shoulders holding Yuugi who was still a bit i'll and held on to those. Honda sat behind her holing her waiste, Jou sat behind himholding his waiste, then seto held onto Jou's waiste.
"Don't get any funny Idea's Honda!" Anzu looked back at him angry with warning.
"You can." Jou said sassily to Seto behind him.
"I was getting an Idea." Seto leaned forward to whisper in Jou's ear. The Spynx started walking toward the north then ran then while he ran, ravenous wings sprung from his shoulders as he took to the air heading north. The passengers looked down at the ground, sand quickly seemed to become frosted over the further they flew over the Ammut desert. Soon snow and ice was all they could see. something zapped Atemu out of the air, as soon as he flew over the lake. The others fell from his back and hit the ice cracking it, but as soon as the spynx hit the ice, everyone fell through. The spynx swam around until everyone grabbed his fur so they could pull them out. He reached his mouth in the water and picked up Yuugi by the neck of his shirt. Atemu let everyone down. Night was coming. Atemu dug his paws into the ground and dug a hole they could spend the night and dry off in. The jewl in his chest broke, breaking the spell as well. He was human again.
"Damn, now it's useless." Atemu put the jewl halves in his honda's back pack.
"Dude, I got emergency supplies in there." Honda complained.
"Don't argue with me, just leave them in there." Atemu commanded.
"Hey, what's that rule about wet clothes and cold weather?" Seto asked.
"Hey honda, you have that survival guide right?" Jou asked.
"Yes..." Flipping the pages. "We have to take them off."
"You haven't yet?" Atemu asked sitting all casual already naked. "You need a book to tell you that?" Atemu said while stripping Yuugi who was unconcious.
"What happened to him?" Seto asked.
"He hit his head when hit that barriar over the lake." Atemu threw his and Yuugi's clothes in a pile and lay with him and ran his hands up and down the boys frozen body. "He's still sick, this is gonna make it worse."
"I thought he was alright." Jou said.
"He won't be til we get him back home, he's been malnourished for so long." Atemu touched his ribs. "He's real skinny." he swept his hand down to his hips.
"He looks bad." Seto said.
"Hey Anzu, take your clothes off." Said Honda.
"You first!"
"Grow up and strip before everyone gets sick!" Atemu yelled at them all.
they spent the night in their most uncomfortable state but less intense cuz everyone had to do the same.
"Stop starring at me Honda!" Anzu slapped him. Jou and Seto nestled together to keep warm and talk amonst themselves.
"Hey Jou." Seto ran his fingures through his thick blond hair. "It doesn't really look like we're getting out of here anytime soon."
"That sucks, we can't get back. Yami's not all their, I don't think he even knows a way out, he's probably giving up our hopes."
"Yes of course your right, it's over just like that!" Atemu shouted at them. "We are getting out of here."
"No we aint Yam, face it...we're all gonna freeze to death and Yuugi's a gonner." Jou said sadly.
"What hope do we have?" Seto asked. "Jou, I wanted to tell you for a long time now, I like you alot." He and Jou made eye contact. They figured it would be their last night. They made out and ignored everyone else.
"Honda." Anzu said.
"What?" Honda asked, then Anzu went down on him. "Oh Anzu."
"If we're lucky we'll make it." Atemu said to himself watching the others in the dark cave, lit by the night sky.
"Ya...mi..." Yuugi looked up at him. "I don't feel good...I'm cold." Yuugi's voic was fient. Atemu snuggled up to him and gave him all his body heat and lay against him to keep the sick little boy warm. "are we gonna die?"
"No, I promise we'll make it to morning. I'll keep you warm ok."
"Thank...you.." He fell asleep. Atemu felt his forhead. "Your burning up again, poor baby, your so sick." Atemu watched the little boy sleeping shivering beneath him.
