Not Just a Secret Anymore
Chapter 19: Alternate Ending I
Kaiba and Jou scream until they both pass out. Ryo and Malik run to Jou's side and look at him.
"He's deathly pale!" yells Ryou.
They try to wake him up, but it's no use.
Atem stares at Seth as his energy forms his image.
"Ki...Kisara..." says Atem. "Heh, she still can't defeat Mahado!"
"Attack!" they both yell.
Their two images collide in a strong blindin light. Atem, Seth, Marik, and Akeifa are thrown back. The barrier
surrounding Kaiba shatters as he disappears. Jou, Ryou, and Malik also disappear from the room.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Jou opens his eyes as the bright sunshine pierces through the room. He looks around and sees he's in Kaiba's bed.
"Am I dead?" asks Jou.
Kaiba springs up and looks at Jou.
"What...what happened? Was that a dream?" asks Kaiba.
"You had the same dream I did?" asks Jou.
"Everyone knew our secret...the videos...Marik...Atem...Akeifa! Mokuba!" yells Kaiba as he jumps out of bed and runs
out the door.
He runs to Mokuba's room and opens the door.
"Mokuba?!" yells Kaiba s he throws the covers from over his head.
"Nii-sama? Are you ok?" asks Mokuba as he stretches. "What's g?" g?"
Kaiba replies by hugging his brother tightly.
"I will never let anyone or anything come between us ever again!"
"What happened to me? I'm confused."
Kaiba pulls back. "You don't remember?"
"Remember what?"
"Oh...nothing..." says Kaiba as he stands up. "I had a dream that seemed so real. You were taken away from me..."
"Nii-sama...you haven't violated your agreement have you?"
Kaiba sighs. "Iya. It's nothing. Go back to sleep."
"Oh...ok." Mokuba says covering back up. "Go put some clothes on. I'm not Jounouchi and I care not to see you like
that."
Kaiba looks down and realizes he has nothing on. His entrie body turns red as he eases out of Mokuba's room only
to bump into Jou in the hall.
"He's right. I do care to see you lke that." teases Jou.
Kaiba turns even more red and drags Jou back into the room.
"Katsuya...I had a nightmare of some sort. About us."
"I did too." replies Jou. "But, did we have the same dream?"
"It's possible."
Later that morning, Kaiba goes to work and Jou goes to help Yugi open up the shop. Honda, Otogi, and Ryou come
over to help and to get a sneak peek at the latest issue of Duel Monsters Monthly.
"Hey guys, what about this one?" Yugi says pointing to the Spell card, Enemy Controller.
"Isn't that the card Kaiba sed in his deul against Jou?" asks Honda.
"Yea. It was the same card that I used to destroy his Blue Eyes." brags Jou.
"And I despise you more and more each and every day for doing so."
Everyone turns around to see Kaiba standing in the door.
"Kaiba-kun? When did you walk in?" asks Yugi.
"I walked in just in time to hear the mutt speak badly of my Blue Eyes." replies Kaiba. HereHere's the card you ordered." Yugi says handing Kaiba case with a Parallel Rare card in it.
'Didn't all this happen before?! I already got this card from Yugi.'
"Arigatou." Kaiba says taking the card and turning towards the exit.
He intentionally walks past Ju as brushes his hand across his ass. Jou grabs his shoulder and spins him around.
"We shouldn't kee this a secret anymore." says Jou.
"What secret could you and Kaiba possibly habe Jou? Have you lost your mind?!" comments Honda.
"Everyone take cover! This could get ugly! And don't break anything!" yells Yugi as he ducks behind Otogi.
"Aww man, here goes!" yells Otogi as Kaiba lifts a hand towards Jou.
Everyone turns away ready to hear the impact of flesh to floor, but...they never hear it.
"Ummm...what's wrong with you all?" asks Jou.
Everyone looks towards Jou and their mouths drop wide open. Their eyes buck from their head as they are in
absolute disbelief of the sight before them.
"Gomen nasai, minna. I was afraid to tell you all because I didn't know how you all would react." says Jou.
No one says anything.
"I...knew this would happen. That's why we've been keeping it a secret for a year. If you care to not have
anything to do with me ever again...then that's fine." Jou says as he turns around.
"Wait!"
Kaiba and Jou turn around to see Yugi.
"Umm...congratulations... You could have been told us!" says Yugi,
"We don't care who you like or who you date. Just as long as you don't change!" says Honda.
"Clealy he hasn't changed any." says Ryou. "If he had, then we would have suspected something."
Jou smiles at amazement that his friends are so understanding of his preferences. A small, but warm smile finds its
way to Kaiba's features also.
'He finally cleared his biggest hurdle.'
